        The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effects of diet condition and caffeine ingestion prior to long distance treadmill running on the GLUT-4 protein expression in Sprague-Dawley rats' soleus muscle. Total is rats were used For subjects and assigned to six groups: Fasting control(FaC group), feeding control(FeC), asting+exercise(FaE), feeding +exercise(FeE), Fasting +caffeine+exercise(FaCE), and Feeding+caffeine+exercise(FeCE). Each animal belongs to fasting group was forced to be in fasting state at least for 14 hours, The food was provided to each rat in feeding group 12minutes prior to treadmill running and the caffeine was ingested through the stainless steel tube 60minutes prior to exercise. All rats in exercise groups were forced to perform treadmill running for B9 minutes at the speed of 18m/min, and 0%grade, immediately after exercise, all animal was anesthetized by Chlorofolm (DC Chemical, Co, Ltd) and about 10ml of blood was drawn from each animal's heart and than soleus muscle was exposed and separated from the rat's leg. we found that the GLUT-4 in feeding groups increased much significantly compared to fasting groups(p<.05). The exercise in fasting state appeared to suppress the expression of GLUT-4 protein different from the exercise in feeding state. Cafreine ingestion prior to treadmill running of 60 minutes induced the significant increase or GLUT-4 protein expression both in fasting or feeding states.

        It is needed to make more efforts to activate the gifted child education in elementary information science regarding selection of the gifted, development of appropriate curriculum, however, as a saying goes that a quality of education is depended on teacher's quality, and outstanding performance of teachers in charge of teaching the gifted is critical to make education for the gifted in elementary information science successful. Considering the significances of teacher variances, the research on the professionality of teacher who is responsible for the elite education in elementary information science should be made, along with a plan to cultivate their competence.

        Effects of Treadmill Exercise on Cognitive Function and Expression of MAP kinase and MKP-1 in Hippocampus of Streptozotocin-induced Diabetic Rats

        The purposes of this study were to examine the effects of exercise on cognitive function and the expressionand correlation of MAP kinases (Mitogen-activated protein kinase; ERK1/2, JNK, p38) and MKP-1 (MAP kinase phosphatases-1) in the hippocampus of diabetic rats. streptozotocin-induced diabetic rats were divided into the control group(CG: n=10), the diabetic group (DG: n=10) and the diabetic with exercise group (DEG: n=10). The rats in DEG wasmade to treadmill exercise (5 days/week, 30min/day) for 6 weeks. It was showed that the results were a non-significantdifference between the groups in the water maze task conducted to evaluate cognitive function, while the CG managed toreach the platform in a short period of time considering the distance travelled, while the DG took relatively more timethan the CG. Although the DEG also took more time in comparison with the CG, it managed to reach the platform in arelatively shorter period of time in comparison to the DG. Expression of MAP kinase in the hippocampal tissues was significantlyimproved in the CG and the DEG, and the expression of MKP-1 that turns on/off the excessive expression ofMAP kinase was also found to be significantly increased in the CG and the DEG in comparison to the DG (p<.05). Inaddition, according to the results of the analysis of correlation between MAP kinase and MKP-1 by using Pearson’s correlationcoefficient, MKP-1 was found to have a highly significant correlation with JNK and p38 among the MAP kinasesubfamilies (ERK1/2, JNK, p38) that accelerates cell death (p<.05). It is concluded that the effect of exercise to improvespatial cognitive function by affecting the expression of MAP kinase and MKP-1 involved in the signal transduction systemof the hippocampus in diabetic rat.

        배구경기가 성장기 청소년의 신체부위별 상해에 미치는 영향

        The purpose of this study was to analyze and compare the feature of sports injuries of growth period the youth volleyball players and to provide the basic information for prevention of sports injuries. A total of 286 (male, 176, female, 110) questionnaires were distributed to high school volleyball players. Each questionnaires consisted of the cause and occurrence of sports injuries, injury type, and the location of the body that the injury affected. Chi square analysis was conducted using SPSS 18.0 for windows. The results showed that there was a significant difference between male and female volleyball players in back and foot injuries(p<.05), but no difference was found in head, neck, chest, arms, and legs. The most frequently occurred injuries were in the muscle and tendon for both gender(p<.05). The reason why most volleyball players injured was due to their carelessness during workouts. After being injured, there was a significant difference between gender in first aid and therapeutic period. It is important for high school volleyball players to realize that a certain level of physical fitness and technique are needed to avoid sport injuries. However, most volleyball players do not perform fitness training, so participants will always be exposed to the risk of the injuries. Coaches should approach to the program which include a variety of physical training to enhance and maintain athletes`s health.

        특이적 코어 밸런스 트레이닝이 남자 고등학교 배구선수들의 등속성 근기능에 미치는 영향

        The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of core-balance training designed to prevent sports injuries and to enhance physical fitness for high school volleyball players. A total of 16 high school volley players (experimental : 8, control : 8) were participated in this study. All data for this study were analyzed using an Analysis of Variance in a 2 (condition : exercise and control) * 2 (time : pre and post) factorial design. A significant F ratio and all comparisons were made at the p<0.05 level of significance. The results indicated that there was not a significant difference in body composition (p<0.05) whether the subjects were participated in the core-balance program or not. For the peak torque of knees, the change was a significant. There was a significant difference in the peak torque of the lumbar by groups (p<0.05). It was concluded that the trained subjects showed significantly higher the peak torque of the knee and lumbar that the untrained subjects. The increase in the strength of the knee and lumbar could be results of increasing physical fitness enhanced by the core-balance program.

        음악줄넘기 프로그램이 비만 지적장애 학생의 신체조성 및 협응력에 미치는 영향

        The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of a 12-week music rope-skipping program on the body composition and the physical coordination of obese students with intellectual disabilities (ID). Height, weight, and body fat were measured to examine the changes of body composition. The physical coordination was evaluated in terms of four items (backward balance, hoping on one leg, jumping sideways, and shifting plat forms) and general MQ (motor quotient) as the sum of four items. The major results were as follows: After the 12-week music rope-skipping program, there were no significant differences in heights but weights and body fat were significantly decreased (p<.05). The 12-week music rope-skipping program for obese students with mental retardation was effective in improving all the four items (backward balance, hoping on one leg, jumping sideways, shifting platforms) and general MQ for the physical coordination. These results suggest that the 12-week music rope-skipping program for obese students with mental retardation has a positive effect on the improvement not only in the body composition by decreasing weights and body fat but also in backward balance, hoping on one leg, jumping sideways, shifting platforms and general MQ for the physical coordination.

        운동강도가 2형 당뇨 쥐 골격근의 AMPK, GLUT-4, MCT-1 발현 및 인슐린 감수성에 미치는 영향

        본 연구는 운동강도에 따른 당대사 조절기전을 보다 명확하게 밝히는데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 5주령 된 제2형당뇨 쥐를 대상으로 당뇨 대조군 (n=10), 당뇨 고강도 운동군 (n=10), 당뇨 저강도 운동군 (n=10)으로 구분하여 운동을 실시하였다. 모든 운동군은 8주간 주 5회 트레드밀 운동을 실시하였다. 연구결과 각 그룹 골격근의 AMPKα1/2, GLUT-4, MCT-1의 발현 정도에서는 세 가지 변인 모두 그룹 간 유의한 차이를 보이며 당뇨 대조군과 당뇨 고강도 운동군이 당뇨 저강도 운동군에 비해 발현정도가 낮게 나타났다 (p<.05). 고혈당 클램프 수치를 분석한 결과 혈당 농도는 그룹간 유의한 차이가 나타나지 않았지만 time (1 min)에서 유의한 차이가 나타났으며 (p<.05), 인슐린 농도에서는 time (0 min, 5 min, 10 min), time·group, group에서 유의한 차이가 나타났다 (p<.05). 8주간의 트레드밀 운동 후 인슐린 저항성의 HOMA-IR 측정 결과는 당뇨 고강도 운동군에 비해 당뇨 저강도 운동군이 유의하게 감소하는 경향을 보였다 (p<.001). 이러한 결과로 비추어 볼 때 고강도 운동 보다는 저강도 운동이 당뇨 환자의 당대사 조절에 더욱 효과적임을 시사한다. The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of exercise intensity on AMPKα1/2, GLUT-4, MCT-1 expression and insulin sensitivity in skeletal muscle of type 2 diabetic mice. The diabetic mice were divided into three groups: diabetic control group (DE-CON: n=10), diabetic high-intensity exercise group (DE-HE: n=10), and diabetic low-intensity exercise group (DE-HE: n=10). Mice were subjected to treadmill exercise (5 day/8 weeks). The results showed that there were significant differences (p<.05) among the groups in terms of AMPKα1/2, GLUT-4 and MCT-1 expression in the skeletal muscles, with the DE-CON and DE-HE groups showing lower expression levels compared to the DE-LE group. Two way repeated measures ANOVA was used to analyze the hyperglycemic clamp levels. Although the results of the analysis showed no significant differences in the blood glucose concentration among the groups, there were significant differences (p<.05) at 1 min, while there were significant differences in the insulin concentration at 0 min, 5 min, and 10 min. After the 8 weeks` treadmill exercise, the HOMA-IR of insulin resistance was measured. As a result, a tendency was found that the HOMA-IR of insulin resistance was significantly reduced in the DE-HE group, compared to the DE-LE group (p<.001). These results suggest that low-intensity exercise aid regulation glucose metabolism better than high-intensity exercise.

        유산소 운동이 Streptozotocin 유도 당뇨쥐 생식세포의 생화학적 특성에 미치는 영향

        본 연구는 유산소 운동이 Streptozotocin(STZ) 유도 당뇨 쥐 고환조직의 생화학적 특성에 어떤 영향을 미치는지 규명하는데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 10주령의 Sprague-Dawley 계열 수컷 흰 쥐를 통제그룹(CON; n=15), 당뇨그룹(DM; n=15), 당뇨운동그룹(DM-EX; n=15)으로 무선배정 하였으며, 12주간(5일/주, 60분/일) 무부하 수영운동을 실시하였다. 연구결과 당뇨그룹은 glucose transporter-3 (GLUT-3), lactate dehydrogenase C-4 (LDHC-4), monocarboxylate transporter-2 (MCT-2)의 발현이 통제 집단에 비해 유의하게 감소하였다(p<.05). 반면 당뇨운동그룹은 GLUT-3, LDHC-4, MCT-2의 발현이 당뇨그룹에 비해 유의하게 증가 하였다(p<.05). 이러한 결과를 종합해 볼 때 수영운동은 당뇨환자의 고환조직 생화학적 기능을 향상시켜 주는데 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of aerobic exercise upon characteristic of biochemistry on of Testicular tissue in the streptozotocin (STZ)-induced diabetic rats. 10 week-old male Sprague-Dawley rats were divided into control group (CON; n=15), diabetes group (DM; n=15) and diabetes-exercise group (DM-EX; n=15). The rats in DM-EX group was made to swim(5 days/week, 60 min/day) for 12 weeks without load. In DM group, glucose transporter-3 (GLUT-3), lactate dehydrogenase C-4 (LDHC-4) and monocarboxylate transporter-2 (MCT-2) protein reduced in the testicular tissue compared to the CONl group (p<.05). In contrast, in DM-EX group, GLUT-3, LDHC-4 and MCT-2 protein enhanced in the testicular tissue compared to the DM group (p<.05). These results showed that swimming exercise improves functions of biochemistry of testicular tissue in the diabetes.
