안전밸브는 저장 시설에 장착되어, 내부 압력이 설정압력을 초과하면 자동으로 작동하여 유체를 외부로 방출하는 안전장치이다. 산업분야에서는 공기, 가스 그리고 물 등 다양한 유체가 사용된다. 이러한 설비에는 안전장치가 꼭 필요하다. ASME는 안전밸브의 설계, 용량, 성능시험에 대하여 규정하고 있다. 안전밸브 제조사는 이 규정에 따라 고성능 제품을 개발하고자 연구해 오고 있다. 전산 해석을 통한 유체-구조 연성해석(FSI)과 실험을 통해 검증하고자 한다. 최근 안전밸브의 성능 중 블로우다운(Blowdown)에 대한 관심과 연구가 진행되고 있다. 본 연구는 안전밸브의 ‘짧은 블로우다운’성능에 대하여 연구 하였으며, 실험을 통하여 최적 형상 디자인을 구현할 수 있었다. The safety valve is an essential safety device that protect high-pressure facilities such as pipe lines, various pressure facilities. It is automatically relieving the excessive pressure to outside when the pressure in facilities overpressure the adjusted set pressure of safety valve. Safety device is mandatory required in places. In accordance with this importance, ASME has enacted code with design, manufacture, performance test. Since then, safety valve manufacturers have tried to make high quality in conformity with it’s guide. In addition, nowadays the studies for blowdown have been conducted by the fluid-structure interaction analysis(FSI) and various actual tests. Blowdown is the one of important criterion. In this study, ‘A study on the optimization of short blowdown of safety valve’ was studied through experimental tests with various trim shape parts design. As the results, it was confirmed that the optimization of short blowdown of safety valve was met with better performance.
LNG 선박용 spring load 안전방출밸브의 유량 성능시험

Many LNG ships will be constructed in Korea and the demand of safety valves is increasing. The most important performance of the developed safety relief vales for LNG ship is flow capacity. Flow capacity tests for 8 sizes of developed safety valves were conducted in the high pressure gas flow standard system in KRISS. The initial spring force adjustment was important for setting pressure of the safety valve. The procedure of data reduction and evaluation of the safety valve performance are suggested. This procedure was approved by French Bureau Veritas and Lloyd’s Register.
