국내 학교 독서교육 정책의 패러다임 특징 분석 : 텍스트 네트워크 분석 기법을 활용하여

본 연구는 다변하는 교육 패러다임과 관련하여 우리나라 학교 독서교육 정책을 분석하고 새로운 방향성과 시사점을 도출하는 데 목적이 있다. 이에 ‘2019 시 ㆍ 도 교육청 독서교육 기본 계획’을 대상으로 텍스트 네트워크 분석 기법 활용하여 주요 키워드와 토픽을 도출하고 그 연결성과 시사점을 검토하였다. 분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 국내 학교 독서교육 정책은 사회 ㆍ 문화적 관점을 기반으로 하는 진보주의 교육 패러다임을 근간으로 의미 구성의 다양성을 이해하는 포스트모더니즘 교육 패러다임의 지향성을 갖고 있다. 둘째, 독서교육 정책의 핵심 행위자인 교사가 환경적 인프라를 바탕으로, 학습을 위한 교과 독서와 지역사회가 함께 하는 인문 사회적 읽기로의 과정을 가지고 있다. 셋째, 학교 독서교육 정책은 교육과정이나 교육적 중재보다 지역사회, 공동체 등 사회 ㆍ 문화적 실천 양상으로 접근하고 있다. 그러나 학교 독서교육 현장과 실제적인 연계는 부족한 면이 있는 바, 독서교육의 실천적 측면에 대한 다각적인 지원이 요구된다. This study aims to analyze the paradigmatic features of domestic school reading education policies and to derive new directions and implications for future reading education from them. Through a text network analysis technique, keywords, topics and their connectivity in the formal documents for the “2019 Basic Plan for Reading Education by the City Board of Education” were identified. The results are as follows. First, the domestic school reading education policy is oriented toward the postmodernist educational paradigm based on the progressive education paradigm from a socio-cultural perspective. Second, teachers, who are key agents in reading education policies, have preferences toward the content area reading and for reading humanities and social studies texts. Third, the practical approaches of domestic reading education policies are centered on social and cultural practices, such as society and community, rather than on curricula and resources. The successful implementation of reading education policies requires instructional and professional support.
