        The big bang theory has been given the privilege of the mainstream theory of cosmology since the proposal of the inflationary paradigm by Allan Guth in 1981. However, the failure to find the physical identity of the dark matter and the dark energy in spite of long search severely restrict the proof of the big bang theory. Also, the internal physical process of quantum fluctuation of the scalar field exactly at the beginning of big bang leads inevitably to the multiverse paradigm that belongs to the realm of naturalistic philosophy because there exist no scientific method how to prove it. This means that the big bang theory and the multiverse paradigm still reside in the realm of scientific hypothesis that has very poor scientific foundation. The stretched theory of the universe has the qualification of another candidate for solving the origin of the universe based on the creation paradigm. This theory conforms to the relativistic theory and the expanding universe.

        The chaos theory is now being called as the third scientific revolution because of its strong impact on the scientific society. One of the important characteristics of chaotic system is unpredictability, even though the system is described by deterministic equations. Modern science has been thought to be powerful in understanding the nature, but in fact, it has been a knowledge system of machine built by some natural laws, rather than of the nature itself. Because most scientists have very narrow and deep knowledge in the special field of study, usually they do not know nature itself. Therefore, we can say a paradox such that the scientists do not know the nature. The nature can be characterized by its order and diversity. Modern science has been studying only the aspect of the order and neglected the diversity. The chaos theory is a knowledge system of the diversity of the nature. Apparently, there seem to be no rules governing the diversity, but the chaos scientists found that a few simple rules can describe the diversity. So, the chaos does not mean disorder. It is a branch of science studying the hidden rules of the diversity of nature. From the viewpoint of Christian worldview, the chaos theory is thought to have found the important aspect of the nature which was created by God. The Bible says that The lot is cast into the lap, but its every decision is from the Lord. It seems that God created the nature in the way of which the chaotic processes play important roles. So, human is not allowed to predict the future. Because the nature`s behavior is chaotic and unpredictable when perturbed by any external causes such as human`s activities to try to change the nature, we should be very careful and humble when we are going to control the nature.

        현재까지 빅뱅 이론이 거의 유일한 우주 기원에 관한 증명된 과학적 이론인 것처럼 여러 교과서와 미디어에 소개되어 왔다. 1981년 알란 구스가 인플레이션 빅뱅 이론으로 지평선 문제와 편평도 문제를 해결할 수 있음을 보이자 인플레이션이 우주기원론의 핵심 개념으로 자리잡았다. 그 후 암흑 물질과 암흑 에너지까지 포함하는 표준 우주론(ΛCDM)으로 발전하여 우주기원론의 표준으로 자리를 잡고 있다. 그러나 인플레이션 이론에 근본적으로 회의를 가진 이 분야의 여러 전문가는 인플레이션 이론을 포기하고 여러 새로운 대안 이론들을 제시하기에 이르렀다. 그 가운데 대표적인 것은 폴 슈타인하르트가 초끈 이론으로부터 끌어낸 주기적 막이론이 논란의 중심에 있다. 그리고 마구에이조의 광속 변화설, 그리고 로저 펜로즈의 CCC이론도 주요 대안 우주론이다. 최신의 이런 대안 우주기원론의 등장은 곧 인플레이션 빅뱅 이론에 상당한 문제가 포함되어 있으며, 현존하는 모든 우주기원론이 여전히 가설의 단계를 벗어나지 못하고 있음을 보여준다. To date, the Big Bang theory has been introduced in textbooks and media as if it were almost the only proven scientific theory of the origin of the universe. In 1981, when Alan Guth showed that the inflationary big bang theory could solve the horizon problem and the flatness problem, the inflationary paradigm became a central concept in the theory of the origin of the universe. After that, it developed into ΛCDM, which includes dark matter and dark energy, and is positioned as a standard model for the origin of the universe. However, several experts in this field, who were fundamentally skeptical of inflationary theory, came up with several new alternative theories. Among them, the big bounce cyclic cosmology derived from the superstring theory by Steinhardt is under hot debate lately. Also, the cosmology with variable speed of light proposed by Magueijo and the conformal cyclic cosmology by Penrose should be considered seriously. The recent emergence of the competing theories of the cosmic origin means that the inflationary big bang theory contains serious theoretical and observational problems, and also that all existing cosmological theories about the cosmic origin are still in the status of hypothesis.

        Several fundamental problems of modern society which are characterized by its science and technology from previous generations and the driving force of the development of modern technology are considered. The position of the modern science and technology in the Christian historical view and its contribution to the accomplishment of the kingdom of God are also considered. The Christian community usually emphasized the negative aspects of science and technology but the secular society is believing that the future technology will solve most of the current problems generated by modern science. However, as long as those fundamental problems such as the energy crisis, the environmental pollution, nationalism, the materialistic understanding of human being, and the drastic change and stratification of world views are existing, it is very dark in the future. The history is progressing forward with two aspects: The completion of the kingdom of God and the closing of the history. The science and technology which are characterizing the modern society are contributing to the kingdom of God in their discovery of natural truths of the world of God and the fast spreading of the gospel throughout the under-developed country.

        팔물군자탕(八物君子湯)의 기원(基源), 변천과정(變遷過程) 및 구성원리(構成原理)

        1. Objectives This paper investigates the origin, the progressive changes and the constructive principles of Palmulgunja-tang (八物君子湯). 2. Methods Palmulgunja-tang and other related prescriptions were analyzed in terms of their pathological indications, based on previous literature including "Donguisusebowon Chobongwon (東醫壽世保元 草本卷)", "Donguisusebowon Gabobon (東醫壽世保元 甲午本)", "Donguisusebowon Sinchukbon (東醫壽世保元 辛丑本)" and "Dongmuyugo (東武遺稿)". 3. Results and Conclusions 1) The Palmulgunja-tang most likely originates from Paljin-tang introduced in "Donguisusebowon Chobongwon (東醫壽世保元 草本卷)". Paljin-tang progressively transformed into Seungyangpalmul-tang ("Donguisusebowon Gabobon (東醫壽世保元 甲午本)") and ultimately into Palmulgunja-tang ("Donguisusebowon Sinchukbon (東醫壽世保元 辛丑本)"), a prescription appropriate for usage in the Ulgwang symptomatology (鬱狂證). Also, Seungyangikgi-tang in "Donguisusebowon Sinchukbon (東醫壽世保元 辛丑本)" can be presumed to have been affected by Seungyangpalmul-tang. 2) The variational prescriptions (變方) of Palmulgunja-tang shows increasing Seungyang (升陽) effect in order of Baekhaogunja-tang, Sipjeondaebo-tang, Palmulgunja-tang, and Doksampalmul-tang. 3) Palmulgunja-tang is composed of 8 herbs. Of these, Paeoniae Radix Alba (白芍藥), Glycyrrhizae Radix(甘草), Angelicae gigantis Radix (當歸), and Cnidii Rhizoma (川芎) fortify the Soeumin Spleen Element (脾元). Ginseng Radix (人蔘) and Astragali Radix (黃?) support the ascension of Yang, whereas Atractlodis Rhizoma White (白朮) and Citrus unshiu (陳皮) encourage the descension of Yin.

        미소 변위 진동측정을 위한 광학 시스템 설계 및 제작

        A noncontact optical system that can measure displacement or vibration of an object is designed by employing the oblique ray method. By using a single convex lens which serves as both the input and output lenses, we made the optical system very compact and reliable. In addition, the bandwidth of the vibration measurement is more than 100 KHz by using the position-sensitive detector as the beam position sensor. The resolution and capture range of the system are $\pm$1 ${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ and 1100 ${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$, respectively. As a sample test, the vibrations of a speaker and a rotating compact disc surface were measured. 미세하게 진동하는 물체의 변위를 비접촉식으로 측정할 수 있는 광학계를 설계하고 제작하였다. 도플러효과에 의한 방법과는 달리, 하나의 볼록렌즈를 이용하여 물체 표면에 비스듬하게 입사하여 물체 표면에서 반사되는 광점의 위치 변화를 PSD(position-sensitive detector)로 검출하였다. 이러한 방법으로 전체적인 장비의 크기를 작게 하였고 빠른 응답 속도를 구현하였다. 본 장비는 $\pm$1.0 $\mu\textrm{m}$의 분해능을 나타내었으며, 스피커의 진동 실험 및 CD-ROM안에서 회전하는 C교의 진동을 측정하였다.

        자운영답에서 알팔파바구미 유충 및 성충 조사방법

        자운영포장에서 알팔파바구미 유충 및 성충의 조사방법에 따른 효율을 평가하기 위하여 본 실험을 수행하였다. 알팔파바구미 유충 밀도를 Shake-bucket, Shake-picking, Sweeping net 방법을 사용한 결과 조사지역 3곳에서 조사방법과 조사시기에 따라 유의하게 차이가 있었다. 포충망을 이용하여 유충밀도를 조사한 결과 4월초까지 유충을 조사할 수 없어 초기에 발생하는 유충을 조사하는데 적합하지 않았다. Shake-bucket과 Shake-picking을 이용한 조사에서 유충발생이 3월 중순부터 확인되었으며, 두 방법간에 차이는 없었다. 미끼를 넣은 Pitfall trap을 이용하여 알팔파바구미 성충 밀도를 조사한 결과 유인조건에 따라 유의하게 차이가 있었다(p<0.018). 각 처리간 성충 유인수를 조사한 결과 싹 틔운 강남콩 92마리, 강낭콩 종자 42마리, 트랩만 설치한 것에서 39마리로 싹 틔운 콩을 넣은 트랩에서 밀도유인 효과가 가장 좋았다. 자운영답에서 알팔파 바구미를 조사할 때 초기 발생하는 유충은 Shake-bucket법을 성충은 싹 틔운 강남콩을 미끼로 하는 pitfall trap을 이용하는 것이 좋다. This study was conducted to evaluate the scouting methods for larva and adults of the alfalfa weevil, $Hypera$ $postica$ Gyllenhal on Chinese milkvetch, $Astragalus$ $sinicus$ L. in the field. Three sampling methods, shake-bucket, shake-picking, and a sweeping net were evaluated for collecting alfalfa weevil larvae. We found significant differences among scouting methods and date in all survey fields. Sweep-net sampling was less able to detect small larvae than large larvae, which were not detected until early April whereas the shake-bucket, and shake-picking methods efficiently collected larvae from middle March. A Pitfall trap with three different baits - no bait, kidney bean seeds and sprouting kidney beans were compared for collection efficiency of alfalfa weevil adults. Collection efficiencies were significantly different by bait(p<0.018). Traps baited with sprouting kidney beans were the most efficient for collecting the alfalfa weevil. The number of alfalfa weevil caught was not significantly different between kidney bean seed and no bait in the pitfall trap. Therefore, the shake-bucket method for larvae and a pitfall trap baited with sprouting kidney beans for adults are recommended for scouting of the alfalfa weevil in a Chinese milkvetch field.

        Photoresist Thermal Reflow를 이용한 Microlens Array 제작

        PET 필름 위에 LCD 백라이트의 프리즘 집광시트의 역할을 대체 할 수 있는 microlens array(MLA) 시트를 설계하고 제작하였다. Photoresist thermal reflow 공정으로 두께 $100{\mu}m$ PET 필름 위에 MLA를 제작하였고, 노광 시간과 reflow의 온도, 시간 등의 변수에 따른 MLA의 형상 변화를 측정하였다. An optical sheet with microlens array (MLA) is designed and fabricated as a substitute for the prism sheets of LCD backlight. Using photoresist thermal reflow, MLAs were fabricated on PET film with thickness of $100{\mu}m$, and we measured the change of MLA profile in terms of exposure time, reflow temperature and reflow time.

        Color-Matching LCD를 위한 형광체 전환효율의 측정과 분석

        고효율 color-matching LCD (liquid crystal display)에 적용하기 위하여, 445 nm의 청색 여기광을 사용하여 적색 및 녹색 형광체의 전환효율과 양자효율을 측정 분석하였다. 투명한 기판 및 표면이 반사처리된 기판에 각각 두께 50 ${\mu}m$의 적색, 녹색 형광체를 코팅하고, 적분구를 사용하여 형광의 세기를 측정하였다. 적색 형광체 및 녹색 형광체에 대해서 전환효율은 각각 41.4%과 46%였으며, 양자효율은 각각 60.4%와 53.5%였다. 제조사의 제원과의 차이점에 대해서 검토되었다. Power conversion efficiency of the red and green phosphors was measured and analyzed. Two different samples of phosphors of thickness 50 ${\mu}m$ were prepared: one was the phosphor layer coated on the transparent substrate and the other was prepared on the reflective substrate. The 445 nm blue laser diode beam was used as the exciting beam. The conversion efficiencies of the red and green phosphor layers were 41.4% and 46%, respectively. The quantum efficiencies of the red and green phosphors were 60.4% and 53.5%, respectively.
