An experimental study of micro blasting for a rotating aluminum rod was conducted through the statistical analysis of ANOVA to obtain the effect of blasting conditions. The rotating equipment was designed and constructed with forward and backward moving for helical blasting, but rotation was used in this study. The blasting condition factors were the type of abrasive particle, nozzle diameter, pressure, standoff distance, injection time, etc. The width of the surface, the maximum depth of the sprayed surface, and ANOVA were analyzed by statistical analysis. The results showed that the contributions of the main factors were pressure, nozzle diameter, and injection particle.

The tank engine clutch flange constitutes a tank on which the engine and transmission of the tank are mounted. The engine clutch flange is fabricated using a difficult-to-cut material that exhibits high strength and hardness. It is difficult to process and requires considerable processing expertise. In addition, the engine clutch flange for the tank requires high machining precision because it is a system in which the connection is detachable. Because it requires high processing precision, the measurement of products equally important as processing. However, productivity is low owing to the significant amount of time required to measure each product using a three-dimensional coordinate measuring machine. Hence, this study is conducted to improve the productivity of the female tank engine clutch flange. Dedicated hobs and jigs are designed and manufactured to convert the existing end-mill cutting processing into hobbing cutting processing. An engine clutch for the tanks is manufactured using the manufactured dedicated hob and jig, and the shortening time is verified by measuring the processing time. In addition, a jig for inspection is designed and manufactured to measure the precision of the product. To verify the inspected product, the product precision is measured using a contact-type three-dimensional coordinate measuring machine and a surface roughness measuring instrument. The study confirmed that the productivity of the engine clutch flange product for tanks can be improved by simplifying the process, reducing the processing time, and simplifying product inspection.

Tanks are key weapons of ground combat that are equipped with powerful weapons and have strong protective bodies. One tank component, the engine clutch flange, is located in the part of the tank where the engine and transmission are installed, and it is a key part of the power transfer and shutoff. The engine clutch flange transmits high power to secure the mobility of the tank; thus, it must have high strength and hardness. In addition, high durability and safety must be ensured because tank operations must exclude concerns about damage. In this study, an engine clutch female flange for tanks made of SNCM439 was developed. The 2D design used AutoCAD programs, and the 3D shape design used CATIA programs. The structural analysis was conducted using ANSYS. The mesh grid has a tetrahedron shape and is created by adding a mid-side node. After the mechanical properties and constraints of SNCM439 were entered, the changes in the safety factor, total deformation, and Von-Mises stress were identified according to the increase in torque. Prototype processing was performed to verify the engine clutch female flange for the tank. To determine the productivity of the product, the cutting processing time was measured when processing the prototypes. Based on the results of measuring the cutting processing time, it is concluded that research is needed to improve productivity because MCT slot cutting processing is time consuming.

In this report, Cutting of metals are basically existence of fundamentally important cutting method. It is necessary task for the advanced technical production which are need more precision and efficient to over an idealistic surface roughness. This study is resulted through cutting the row materials of SM45C, in the diluted solubility water type of cutting fluids twenty times and forty times as many as that water, by variable in the velocity, feed rate, depth of cut, comparing the examine under same cutting conditions.
