Vol.14 No.1
Two new metal(II)-diphenate complexes, [Zn (dpa)(phen)(H2O)2](1), and [Zn(dpa) (bpy)(H2O)2](2) (dpa = dephenic acid, phen = 1,10-phenanthroline, and bpy is 2,2`-dipyridyl) have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, infrared spectroscopy, and thermogravimetric analysis. In the complexes, each Zn(II) ion is six-coordinated and two Zn(II) ions are bridged by one dpa ligand cooperated with the terminal ligand phen or bpy to form 1D network. The dpa ligand is coordinated to metal(II) ions as a bis-monodentate.

This study investigated emotional events and experience of students in elementary, junior high school, and high school students. Emotional events which students experienced in the home, school, and society were various and differed from their sex and grade. The most recollected subjects were such events related to success, achievement, failure, sex, and friends. Their characteristics were as follows : First, the subjects of fear were scoundrels, family, mass media, and teachers, which caused by a threat compelled money, horrible story, punishment, being alone, nightmare. A sensation of fear was experienced mostly due to scoundrels, and it did not decrease from elementary school to high school students. Violence and threat compelled money were mostly experienced by junior high school students. A threat of violence was experienced by elementary school students. Junior high school boy students were predominant and high school students did not differ in their sex. On the street, boy students were threatened more than girl students were. Second, inferiority complex was found more in girl students, and it tended to be predominant as students were in a higher grade. The subject of Inferiority complex was a friend. Girl students had more inferiority complex than boy students did. Inferiority complex appeared as predominantly as their grade increased. Inferiority complex mostly related with academic record and then, appearance. And It was higher regardless of the grade. Elementary school students did not experience only inferiority complex in school but also in the home. Third, dissatisfaction appeared according to parents, teachers, friends, brothers or
