효는 인간사회의 기본윤리이며, 부모를 잘 섬기는 일이다. 우리나라는 상고 시대인 환단조선 때부터 민족경전인 천부경, 삼일신고, 참전계경에 기초한 전통도맥인 신선도 5상에 효가 포함되고 생활의 바탕으로 삼았다. 환국5훈, 환웅7훈, 단군8조교 등이 이를 잘 뒷받침한다. 우리 국민 정서에 깊이 뿌리박은 효사상의 상징은 만고효녀 심청전이다. 그런데 심청은 백제시대 전기, 전라남도 곡성출신의 역사적 실존인물이다. 본명은 원홍장이고, 맹인 아버지는 원량이었다. 원홍장(심청)은 아버지와 성공대사의 약속 즉 공양미 3백석을 보시하고 눈을 뜨게 한다는 내용에 따라 자기를 헌신한다. 그녀는 쌀 3백석 값을 받고 중국 절강성 주산시 보타도 심가문진(심청마을)에 사는 국제 귀족 상인 심국공 일행을 따라 중국으로 간다. 원홍장은 심국공의 양녀가 되니 이름을 심청으로 바꾸고, 이어서 진나라 혜제의 문명황후가 된다. 진서에는 원희(元姬)로 기록돼 있다. 문명황후는 당시의 관음불교에 심취하여 백제 곡성 관음사에 5백나한, 관음보살상, 소조 금니상 등을 보내고, 심청의 아버지는 눈을 뜨게 된다. 효를 비롯한 신선도 5상의 기본윤리가 복잡다단한 현대사회에도 필요하다. The filial piety is the basic ethics that is devotion to the parents. Our country had used the Seen-Sun-Do 5 sang containing the filial piety to the bottom of life from the earliest ancient Hwan-Dan-Chosun. The traditional TAO is based on the national bible, namely, Chunbukyung, Samilsingo, Chamjungekyung. There are Hwankuk-ohun, Hwanwung-chilhun, Dangun-paljokyo. The thought-symbol of our country`s filial piety is the biography of Simchung rooted in Koreans pathos. However Simchung is the historical person of Julanamdo-Goksung at Baekje Dynasty. Her original name is One-Hongjang and her blind father is One-Ryang. One-Hongjang namely Simchung decided her mind devoting for her father`s eye to be open for the purpose of sending 300 rice bag to Buddha through Sungkong monk. After receiving 300 rice bags, she had gone to the China Julgangsung-Jusan City, Bota island following the international trader Simkukgong group. She became the daughter-in-law of Simkukgong, and next her name is changed to Simchung. After that, she became the Queen of Emperor Heje in Chin dynasty and so called the Moonmyung Empress. That was recorded One-Hee in the history of Chin dynasty. Moonmyung Empress had sent to Goksung Kwanin Temple statues of 500 Arhat, Avalokitasdesvara and the golden Buddha. At that time, her blind father saw the light through opening eyes. Seensun-do 5 Sang containing the filial piety is necessary as the basic ethics now here.
