Experimental results on the lap splice behavior of strain hardening cement-based composite made with expansive admixture. In this study, the SHCC matirx contained 1.5% by volume of polyethylene fibers and 10% properties of expansion admixtures in strength of 100㎫. The lap splice length of specimens reduced up to 60% of standard lap splice length by KBC Building Code. The current experimental results demonstrated that the use of expansion admixtures in SHCC increase significantly the lap splice performance of reinforcing bars in tension and bond strength.
