The oscillatory behavior of the wall temperature and working fluid for a closed two-phase thermosyphon which has operated under pulse boiling process is studied. The magnitudes of pulse period, and the degree of superheat of working fluid are measured using an ethanol thermosyphon, which was made of a copper tube of length of 1000㎜ and diameter of 16㎜. In this study, the effect of heat flux, vapor pressure and fill charge rate, imposing in pulse period and superheat of liquid pool are also examined. Operation condition, at which a thermosyphon might undergo a pulse boiling proces, would be determined by a correlation formula, 1200P_v^(-0.0284)<q"<1200P_v^(-0.45) which is taken from the results of a map of boiling regime data. The experimental results also show that the pulse period magnitude during 10 to 200sec decreases smoothly, depending on heat flux and vapor pressure, but the fill charge rate seems to a minor effect on it.
