광양만 , 마산만 및 울산만 퇴적물중의 미량금속과 퇴적속도

        강화성,이광우 ( Hwa Seong Kang,Kwang Woo Lee ) 한국물환경학회 1996 한국물환경학회지 Vol.12 No.4

In order to investigate the historical aspect of trace metal pollution, 19 surface sediment samples and 6 core samples were obtained from the coastal bays of Kwangyang, Masan and Ulsan which were known to be somewhat polluted. Eight trace metals(Cd, Cr, Co, Cu, Mn, Ni, Pb and Zn) in sediments were analysed by atomic absorption spectrophotometry and sedimentation rates were determined by the isotopic method using radioactive ^(210)Pb. The mean sedimentation rates, calculated from ^(210)Pb contents, were 0.68, 0.55 and 0.59 cm/yr for Kwangyang, Masan, and Ulsan Bay, respectively. The sediment compositions of each bays were clayey silt for Kwangyang Bay, silt and clayey silt for Masan Bay, and silt for Ulsan Bay. The concentrations of Pb, Co, Zn, Ni, Cu and Cr were relatively high in the surface sediments and gradually decreased at the 20∼30㎝ depth.

시화호 퇴적물의 유기탄소 , 황 및 중금속 분포

        심무준(Moo Joon Shim),김은수(Eun Soo Kim),김경태(Kyung Tae Kim),이기복(Gi Bok Lee),강화성(Hwa Seong Kang),이광우(Kwang Woo Lee) 한국물환경학회 1998 한국물환경학회지 Vol.14 No.4

Shihwa Lake is a brackish lake with high organic productivity and anoxic bottom waters. The high biological activity in surface waters along with limited vertical mixing has resulted in the development of an oxic-anoxic interface at the 3∼4m water depth. And anoxic bottom waters are enriched with PO₄, NH₃ and H₂S. Three sediment cores were collected from Shihwa Lake near the Banweol Industrial Complex in October, 1997 and were analysed for organic matters, S/C ratios, δ ^(13)C and heavy metals. The average S/C ratio was about 0.30 in the sediment cores, which is lower than 0.36, the characteristic ratio of marine sediments. Sediments appeared to be depleted in sulfur relative to organic carbon, and the total reduced sulfur showed high correlation with organic carbon. The δ ^(13)C ratios in the upper layer were slightly lower than those in the deeper layer. Heavy metals of Cr, Co, Ni, Zn and Cu showed high correlation with organic matters and with each other. Those metals have similar geochemical behavior. On the other hand, Mn, As, Cd and Pb showed low correlation with organic matters, showing that these metals may have different pathways and geochemical behavior from the former groups of metals. Heavy metal contents in the surface sediment of Shiwha Lake is also relatively high in comparison with obtained from inshore and offshore sediments of Korea.

      • Lead isotope ratios in sediments of Yellow Sea and Korean Coastla Waters

        Lee, Kwang-Woo,Kang, Hwa-Seong 漢陽大學校 環境科學硏究所 2001 環境科學論文集 Vol.22 No.-

Lead isotope ratios have been measured in sediments of Yellow Sea and Korean coastal waters. The ranges were ^206Pb/^204Pb=18.301 - 18.609; ^207Pb/^204Pb=15.522 - 15.734; ^208Pb/^204Pb=38.105 - 39.165; ^207Pb/^206Pb=0.8424-0.8508; and ^208Pb/^206Pb 2.0872-2.1034. Various plots of Pb isotope ratios were drawn, including ^208Pb/^206Pb vs ^207Pb/^206Pb which was compared with those of world ores. There were some differentiation among Yellow Sea and Korean coastal sediments, but to be conclusive more data on sediments of Chinese coastal waters were needed.
