An object of the present study is to provide a hollow fiber membrane humidifier capable of improving the humidification efficiency while lowering the pressure loss, and is suitably usable for PEMFC(Polymer Electrolyte Membrane Fuel Cell). The performance of PEMFC is decisively dependent on the humidity of the electrolyte membrane(fluorinated membrane) and a humidifier plays an important role in moisturizing electrolyte membrane. Especially this humidifier is adaptable for lower price to promote the commercialization of fuel cell vehicles and is passive type to be power free and to be volumetrically optimized. In this research, we propose the substitutes for the expensive fluorinated materials and the optimum dry-jet wet spinning conditions of hollow fiber membrane to get the fuel cell humidifier. In addition to that we established the standard method of evaluating the moisturizing performance of the humidifier of various materials.
테레프탈산,1,3-디아세톡시벤젠 및 4,4-디아세톡시비페닐로부터 유도된 공중합체의 합성 및 성질에 관한 연구

New wholly aromatic copolyesters were synthesized by varying their compositions, and their structure-property relationships were studied. Copolyesters were prepared from terephthalic acid (TRA), biphenol diacetate(BP) and resorcinol diacetate (RD). The melt polymerization method was adopted for the polymerization. Their thermal, liquid crystalline and crystalline proper ties were studied by differentialthermal analysis and wide angle X-ray diffractometry and by obeservation of the melts on a polarizing microscope. All the polymers, except the one prepared at BP:RD = 0:10 (molar ratio) were thermotropic. The degree of crystallinity of copolyesters was relatively high. The degree of crystallinity of copolyesters gradually decreases with increase in resorcinol(RD) content, while melting temperature (Tm) reveals somewhat peculiar dependence on the composition. In general, annealing increased copolymers' molecular weights and also the degree of crystallinity of crystallizable compositions.

Copolyesters were prepared from terephthalic acid (TPA), biphenol diacetate (BP) and with various bisphenols. The melt polymerization method was adopted for the polymerization. Their thermal, liquid crystalline and crystalline properties were studied by differential thermal analysis ans wide angle X-ray diffractometry and by observation of the melts on a polarizing microscope. All the polymers prepared on this study were themotropic. The degree of crystallinity of copolyesters was relatively high (17-58%). In general, annealing increased copolyners' molecular weights and also the degree of crystallinity of crystallizable compositions.
