A new method was proposed for the determination of boiling point elevation and freezing point depression. On the diagram of chemical potential of solution versus temperature, two paths were chosen each of which intersecting at the initial state and final state. The integration along two paths were set to equal giving quantitative relation between molality of solute and change in collegative property.
Chromium Trioxide-Pyridine Complex에 관한 연구

The chromium trioxide-pyridine complex was found to be a good oxidizing agent at room temperature for the conversion of primary benzylic and allylic alcohols to their corresponding aldehydes. Data for eleven compounds are presented. Simple aliphatic and aromatic secondary alcohols are converted to ketones in fair to good yields; data for six are presented.

Titanium oxide was prepared by the hydrolysis of TiCl_4 and was coated on mica. The optical characteristics such as reflection and transmission of the latter was studied. The effects of concentrations of TiCl_4 on the rate of hydrolysis, particle size of hydrolysis product (Ti0_2), and crystal induction time, were found to be quite reverse to the general principle. Graphical analysises show that the crystal induction time was shorter as the concentra-tion of TiCl_4 decreased. By proper regulation of the condition of hydrolysis of TiCl_4 solution, mica pigments of colours ranging from silver-white to red was produced. Their maximum intensity of light reflection and maximum transmittance were from 300 to 800nm and from 400 to 700nm respectively.

TiN/Al_2O_3/Tialon comlposite was prepared by sol-gel processing of alumina sol, TiN, AIN, and Y_2O_3. The resultant composite was calcined at 900℃ and a number of test bars were cut from the composite to press uniaxially and isostatically at 20,000 psi and to sinter at 1650℃ and 1,700℃ for one hour in nitrogen atmosphere. Examination of the bar showed the structure of the composite to be a mixure of closest packed microcrytalline materials, and its mechanical property to be available for metal cutting, abrasive, protective, and decorative object ;

분배계수와 용매의 용해도 파라미터 도표상의 추출포물선을 검토하여 질산산성에서 유로퓸을 TBP로 추출할 때 유로퓸착물과 TBP의 활동도 계수간의 관계를 알 수 있었고 이에 따라 TBP의 용해도 파라미터를 결정하는 가능성을 제시하였다. 용매로서는 cyclohexane, 벤젠, 톨루엔, chlorobenzene을 사용하였고 TBP의 농도를 용적백분율로 5에서 50까지 변화시켰다. A relationship between the activity coefficients of tri-n-butylphosphate(TBP) and europium complex was studied in the extraction of europium by TBP in nitric acid solution. Diluents chosen are cyclohexane, toluene, benzene and chlorobenzene. Concentrations of TBP were varied from 5 to 50 by volume percent and the composition of inorganic layer was kept constant. A method of estimating the solubility parameter of TBP is suggested.
활성탄을 포함하는 몇 가지 흡착제의 동공부피 분포와 이들의 흡착제에 대한 타르, 유기산 등 연초 에어로솔 성분의 흡착률과의 관련성

타르, 니코틴 등 몇 가지 연초 에어로솔 성분의 흡착거동을 해석한 결과 비교적 저비점 피흡착질의 흡착률은 축적 동공부피의 증가와 더불어 증가하였다. 반면 비교적 고비점 피흡착질의 흡착률은 보다 작은 반경의 동공부피가 증가할수록 감소하였다. 여기에 사용된 흡착제는 활성탄, 실리카겔, 알루미나 및 활성백토이었다. 비표면적이 큰 흡착제가 보다 큰 흡착률을 가진다는 일반적인 경향은 고비점 피흡착질에 대해서는 성립되지 않았다. 이상의 결과는 위의 흡착거동을 탈착등온식을 기초로 하여 동공부피분포와 관련시켜 검토하므로써 얻어진 것이다. The analysis of adsortion behaviors of some cigarett aerosol ingredients such as tar, nicotine, carbon monoxide and a number of organic acids has shown that the rates of adsorption of the adsorbates of lower boiling point had increased in accordance with increasing cumulative pore volume, while that of higher doiling point decreased with increasing pore volume of smaller radius. The adsorbents used here were charcoal, silica gel, alumina, and activated clay. The common principle that the adsorbents of greater specific surface area adsorb the larger amount of adsorbates appeared to be disturbed in the adsortion of higher boiling point adsorbates. This confirmation was made mainly by analyzing the adsorption behaviors with regard to the pore volume distributions evaluated on the bases of desorption isotherms.

A number of unsaturated fatty acids from cigarette smoke were adsorbed by some adsorbents installed in filter parts of cigarettes samples. Per cent adsorption of the fatty acids increased lineary with the increase in cumulative pore volume regardless of the sorts of adsorbents. A new quotient which relates to the relative pore volume around the maximum pore radius of adsorbents has been proposed. Above mentioned linear relationship appeared to be much more enhanced in regards to the quotient, though there was one exceptional case with activated clay.

용해도 파라미터 0에 대응하는 분배係數(K_D^0)를 질산산성에서 TBP에 의한 Eu의 추출계에 대하여 구해 보았다. 용매로서는 cyclohexane, benzene, toluece, chlorobenzene 등 극성이 작은것을 택했다. K_D^0값은 용매의 특성을 따르는 이상거동 으로부터의 편기를 최소한으로 줄이고 활동도계수 및 용해도 파라미터 등 용매추출의 연구에 중요한 자료를 결정하는데 긴요하게 이용될수 있었다.
