Since air-conditioner was invented, the related technologies have been researched and developed a lot. Although a lot of parts have been developed such as using an inverter compressor, using a BLDC fan motor, and so on, the mechanism of air conditioning that how to be set and work are still old-fashioned like first of the air conditioner. Recently, researching for AI has been increased, and the technology already has been used to various industries. Thus, it is time to use AI technology in the commercial air conditioning market. Therefore, this study intends to present the LG electronics commercial air conditioner with AI technology in the market, and then the technologies are shown whether it has definitely been improved compared to previous normal VRF systems and whether it is an implementable technology.
수랭식 VRF시스템에서 변유량 방식 냉각수 유량제어와 정유량 제어 방식간의 냉방 전기 소비량의 시뮬레이션 비교

This sudy compares electricity consumptions of a water-cooled VRF system during cooling season between the constant condensing water flow control and the variable water flow control by the simplified simulation considering variation of the heat rejection at the dry cooler according to the weather data representing 6 cities. The average accumulative electricity amount of 6 cities in the variable water flow control type water-cooled VRF is 11% smaller than the value in the constant water flow type. In the variable water flow control type, the total compressor power consumption in the variable water flow is 1.1% higher than in the constant water flow type. However, the variable water pump showed 57.1% lower electricity consumption totally than the constant water flow type.

Recently, the importance of indoor air quality is being emphasized due to environmental changes. In particular, viruses spread through the air and fine dust in the air but invisible to the naked eye are threatening our health. Through this study, we tried to find the optimal air conditioning solution to protect and protect our health from polluted air in the household. In order to analyze the actual situation, the effect of removing fine dust according to the operation method of ventilation and system air conditioner 1-way(air purification type) installed in residential households was empirically studied. Based on the empirical research results, we intend to find implications and solutions that can effectively manage the indoor air quality.

Recently, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there is a trend of increasing ventilation air volume and extending operating hours, and energy use is increasing to handle the increased outdoor air load. Existing DOAS products are designed to reheat dehumidified air or operate heating in winter using equipment such as gas furnaces, electric heaters, and hot water coils for dehumidification. By applying the simultaneous cycle of the VRF system and the waste heat recovery cycle, additional energy-saving factors were identified.

Modular construction can improve productivity and profitability in terms of construction cost and is an eco-friendly construction method. In countries such as France, the United Kingdom, and Singapore, the modular construction method is also applied to skyscrapers over 100m tall. However, in the case of modular architecture in Korea, the institutional system such as the building law or the housing law is not fully prepared, so the energy-saving design standards that are reflected when designing general new buildings are not applied. Therefore, a modular building may have a higher heating/cooling load compared to a general building, and the energy consumption efficiency of the building may be lowered. In order for modular architecture to become sustainable modular architecture in the entire Life Cycle in production, assembly, construction, use, and recycling, energy saving measures are needed. Recently, due to its high efficiency advantage, the VRF system business has been rapidly growing since 2004. Considering that the replacement cycle of air conditioners is usually about 10 years, the time of replacement of the system air conditioners introduced in the early days has arrived, and interest in the cost and process of replacement is increasing due to the discontinuation and aging of the components of the existing systems. Therefore, we propose a site customizable replacement solution that can re-use the existing pipes while replacing the indoor and/or outdoor units in the residential market. In addition, we introduce residential replacement case studies that present system air conditioner energy efficiency improvements and various cost reductions.
