The production of H2O2 in distilled was examined under single irradiation of 28, 584, 970 kHz and orthogonal and opposite dual irradiation between 28/584 kHz, 584/970 kHz for acoustic power of 100, 150, 200 W. Result from the fact that the production efficiency of H2O2 under 584 kHz irradiation was considerably high compared to other frequencies. The enhancement for production of H2O2 under dual(orthogonal and opposite) irradiation.

The series of experiments under the various conditions were carried out to evaluate the feasibility of dissolved air flotation (DAF) as an alternative of conventional gravity sedimentation (CGS) and to investigate the decrease of the loadings following to biological wastewater treatment processes in livestock wastewater system. Collision and bubble filtration efficiency were simulated though the single-collector collision model and the population balance model to find out to investigate the removal characteristics of pollutant particles. It was revealed that in the case of 25 ㎛ bubble diameter over 90% of bubble-floc agglomerates removal efficiency could be achieved under the below hydraulic loadings 2.0 m/hr on the basis of the simulation result by population balance model. Under the above operational condition it was required that the mean particle diameter of livestock wastewater should be over than 100 ㎛ as a coagulated floc, additionally. On the contrary, over 90% of bubble-floc agglomerates removal efficiency could be gain at least under the hydraulic loadings 10.8 m/hr, in case of 100 ㎛ bubble diameter.

The series of experiments under the various conditions were carried out to evaluate the feasibility of dissolved air flotation (DAF) as an alternative of conventional gravity sedimentation (CGS) and to investigate the decrease of the loadings following to biological wastewater treatment processes in livestock wastewater system. On the basis of the experiment result between CGS and DAF processes, for the other water quality criteria as well as suspended solid the removal efficiency of DAF process was about 20~25 % better than CGS process on average. In addition, the particle removal efficiency of DAF process became higher in proportion as the increase of air to solid (A/S) ratio and the general wastewater treatment efficiency of DAF process was enough to meet the requirement of loading decrease to following biological process even at low A/S ratio range. Though DAF process is widely known as an solid separation unit, there was not the notable relationship between particle separation efficiency and several pollutant removal efficiencies like CODCr and nutrients (T-N, T-P). Assume that the CODCr was removed as the fraction of particle separation in this experiment, the removal efficiency of T-N and T-P were sensitive to removal efficiency of CODCr, especially.

In the present study granular ferric hydroxide was used as an adsorbent for the removal of phosphate from aqueous solution. Adsorption, equilibrium, kinetics and column dynamics studies were conducted based on the experimental and theoretical approach. The results demonstrated that among various sorbents granular ferric hydroxide has potential effect for phosphate removal due to their high adsorption capacity.
