        Countless knowledge and information is being produced in rapidly changing modern society. In addition, science and technology are also changing radically. In line with this trend of the time, education is also changing and typical example is convergence talent education, STEAM. STEAM is a convergence education program which added Art area to STEM education that aimed to strengthen science, technology, engineering and mathematics education. In STEAM education, art plays a vital role in enhancing interest in and understanding of science and technology and in cultivating convergence thinking and problem-solving ability by enabling emotional experiences. In addition, music in art area is a subject which can make contribution to the learners' development of personality, creativity, expression and communicative ability and can lead convergence education by linking with other subjects. Thus, the purpose of this study is to suggest the necessity of convergence talent education centering on music and to cultivate talents with creative thinking skills which STEAM education pursues. Four-session STEAM education curriculum centering on music suggested by this study constructed and presented music drama connecting with elements of STEAM with Schubert's 'Erlkönig' as its theme. First, study explores how one theme is expressed in different forms by linking literature and music in art and examines the relationship between poems and music by comparing Goethe's 'Erlkönig' and Schubert's. Second, when appreciating music, utilization of 'musicogram' facilitates analysis of music and help composition of music drama. 'Musicogram' which is visual reproduction of dynamic outline of music can suggest the theme and structure of the music. Third, using computer program in editing background music and recycled musical instruments in expressing sound effects can help finding out improvement solutions for environmental pollution. This study hopes that, through STEAM-applied music education, learners can have improved creativity, expression and communicative ability by composing and planning music drama on their own and develop into talents with creative ideas.
