The purpose of this paper is to explain why this phenomenon has occurred and what it means by starting from the fact that the intellectuals of Song dynasty respect the Bai Juyi and favored his poetry. The intellectuals of the Song dynasty earned high respect for the Bai Juyi's social participation, envied his restful life, and respected the acceptance of the philosophy of the Confucianism, Taoism and Buddhism. This is because the transformation that occurred in the middle Tang led to the formation of a culture, and related to Bai Juyi is the Neo-Confucianism, urbanization and commercialization, and the Civil service Examinations system. And the true reason for the respect of the Bai Juyi was that they reflected their desires to the Bai Juyie, which is self-reliance, self-esteem, and elegance.

장편(長篇) 시제(詩題)를 통해 본 당시(唐詩)의 매개체적 속성 심화에 관한 연구

중국의 시는 대체로 제목이 짧다. 그러나 제목이 20자 이상 되는 長題도 少數이지만 존재한다. 장제는 매개체적 속성이 중시되기 때문에 사용되었다. 매개체적 속성이란 사람들에게 전달을 목적으로 하며, 사람과 사람 사이를 연결해 주는 성격을 말한다. 매개체적 속성 때문에 장제는 자세한 설명이 발생하고 화답이 이루어지며 제삼자가 화답에 끼어들게 된다. 또한 다수의 사람들을 기증 대상으로 삼고, 복잡한 방식으로 기증과 화답이 이루어지며, 모임이 있을 경우는 자세히 서술하게 된다. 장제의 발전은 문인 네트워크가 성립되었다는 증거가 된다. 이것은 장제에 노드·허브·링크가 존재하며 중당대에 장제의 창작이 집중되었음을 근거로 알 수 있다.

In Shuowen Jiezi, there are cases where the title letter reappears in the description of itself. If we regard Shuowen Jiezi as a dictionary explaining the meaning of the letters, this phenomenon is unreasonable and inappropriate. However, Xushen’s purpose of writing Shuowen Jiezi was not limited to explain the meaning of single letters. He had the intention of organizing a meta-commentary and text commentary that correctly interprets the characters that appeared in main classics during Later Han Dynasty, especially Shi詩 Shu書 Yi易 Li禮 Chunqiu春秋. Considering the purpose of writing Shuowen Jiezi by Xushen, it is possible to grasp the characteristics of this text not only as a dictionary but also as a commentary on the classics. The analysis of “circular definition” in Shuowen Jiezi reveals these characteristics of this text more clearly. This paper first compared the characteristics of Shuowen Jiezi and Er Ya, which were written under a specific academic background at the time, and examined the characteristics of “circular definition” by classifying and analyzing the aspects of “circular definition” seen in Shuowen Jiezi.
