      • 韓人 胎兒의 臟器成長에 關한 硏究

        The weights of dody, heart, liver, pancreas, kidney, thyroid, thymus, suprarenal body and eye ball of 102 cases of the Korean fetus from 5th month to 10th month were weighed. The data were applied with growth formula and relative growth formula to analyse the growth pattern of Korean fetus in the later half of developmental life. The results were as follows: 1) Growth ratios of 5th and 10th month were generally between 6 times, and thymus showed the greatest and the others were smaller in the order of thyroid gland, heart, kidney, whole body, pancreas, liver, eye ball and suprarenal body. 2) Specific growth rates (growth veiocity of organ per unit weight) were decreased in kidney, thymus and eye ball as fetal age increased, while whole body, heart, liver, pancreas, thyumus and suprarenal body showed increased rates up to 7th fetal age, and the rates were decreased thereafter, 3) All the organs studied-pancreas, heart, whole body, kidney, liver, thyroid gland, suprarenal body and eye ball-showed negative allometry to thymus, and growth centers were at the side of 5th month of the fetal age in general. 4) Only thymus showed positive allometry to pancreas and growth centers appered to be at 6th month of the fetal age in general. 5) Thymus and pancreas were positive allometry to heart and growth centers were variable. 6) The ratio of positive allometry decreased in the order of thymus, pancreas and heart to whole body, and growth centers were variable. 7) The ratio of positive allometry decreased in the order of thymus, heart and whole body to kidney, and growth centers were generally at the order of 10th month of the fetal age. 8) The ratio of posiitve allometry decreased in the order of thymus, pancreas, heart, whole body and kidney to liver and growth centers were generally at the side of 10th month of the fetal age. 9) The ratio of positive allometry decreased in the order of thymus, pancreas, heart, whole body, kidney and liver to thyroid gland, and growth centers were variable. 10) The ratio of positive allometry in the organs except eye ball decreased in the order of thymus, pancreas, heart, whole body, kidney, liver and thyroid gland to suprarenal body, and growth onters were at the side of 5th month of the fetal age in the most of the cases. 11) All the organs studied-thymus, heart, whole body, kidney, liver, thyroid gland and suprarenal body-showed positive allometry to eye ball, and growth centers were variable.

        The author measured the respective weights of six organs-brain, eye ball, heart, liver, lung, and kidney-of the 76,18-days chick embryos that incubated from the eggs of white leghorn species. And the author applied Holdinger-Harman's Factor Analysis to the characteristic values which are the normal values of relative weight of organs to body. From the growth factor F_1,F_2 and F_3 which were seperated from above result, the auther calculated and analyzed 2 factor loads, common factor(general factor & group factor), uniqueness, communality, β-weight and factor score to obtain the results summerized as follows; 1. F_1,F_2 and F_3 were introduced to be the growth factors of a chick embryo. 2. By means of factor load and β-weight, three groups-brain-eye ball group, liver-kidney group and heart-lung group-which have different growth tendency, are divided. 3. Factor load and β-weight are in significant (P<0.05) positive correlation in all of three factors. 4. Communality is large in brain, eye ball, and liver; uniqueness is large in heart and lung.

      • 鷄胎器官 成長에 미치는 Testosterone의 效果에 對하여

        Although many research have been described previously for the various effects of testosterone on the several embryos, most of these study are based on simple weight gain which is not adequate for evaluation of the various organs statistically. The author intended to determine the effects of testosterone on the weight gain of body weight and various organs of chick embryos. On the 8th and 12th day of incubation, 0.5㎎ and 7.5㎎ of testosterone were injected into chorioallantoic membrane of each incubated egg of two groups, and each main group were divided into three more small groups such as control, 0.5mg injected group and 7.5㎎ injected group. Between the 12th and 18th of incubation day, a daily total of 10 treated eggs was broken for weighing the body weights of chick embryos and six organs―brain, eye ball, heart, lung, liver and kidney. The effects of doses and difference of injection times on growth were analyzed by the Repeated Two Way Lay out Method, and the determination of the significance in the levels of difference was made by the Turkey's Method. The results are summarized as follows: 1. When injected with testosterone injectable aqueous suspension, the chick embryos were observed with significant difference on the growth of organs between the 8th day group and the 12th day group. 2. In the 8th day group, growth retardation appeared in body weight, brain, eye-ball, lung, liver and kidney throughout 7.5㎎ injected group. 3. Generally, the growth inhibition was found on the 12th day group in comparison with control group. 4. In the both 8th day group and the 12th day group, were unique in that the growth increasing appeared hearts in 7.5㎎ injected group. 5. When injected with 7.5㎎ testosterone on the 8th day, kidney were observed with growth inhibition, but on the other hand, 12th day injected group showed growth promotion.

        Casting specimens of portal system in lives were made by injection of vinylite into the portal veins in 10 adult dogs. Every point at which the branches to each lobe take off were determined to be measured from the branched point of portal vein in order to perform the analysis on the characteristic values the rectangular and polar coordinates were introduced, and results obtained were summerized as follows: 1. In X-Axis, the points at which the branch to right anterior lobe and lateral inferior branch of left anterior lobe take off are located most laterally. 2. In Y-Axis, every branch is located more anteriorly than portal vein and the branch to right anterior lobe and internal interior branch of left anterior lobe are located most apically. 3. In Z-Axis, the branch to right posterior lobe and lateral inferior branch of left anterior lobe are located upper than portal branch. 4. The branch to right anterior lobe in right side and external inferior branch of left anterior lobe in left side have the longest compound vectors to each branched point. 5. Every branched points is scattered within the limits in which the direction angles range from 194.06 degree to 351.69 degree. 6. Every branched points is scattered within the limits in which the zenith angle of the branch to right anterior lobe is 97.08 degree in right side and that of left side is -112.32 degree.
