Instrumental determination was performed for the analysis of residues of ethylene oxide(EO), ethylene chlorohydrin(ECH) and ethylene glycol(EG) in white ginseng powders which were deaerated for 30 min after EO fumigation. Gas chromatographic data showed that EO residues were 570 ppm in the immediate samples after deaeration and 170 ppm in the stored ones for 8 days at 30$\pm$1$^{\circ}C$, respectively, showing a decreasing tendency with elapsed time. On the other hand, ECH and EG residues in samples as the secondary products of EO were 17, 650 ppm and 727 ppm stored for one month, and 9, 595 ppm and 221 ppm stored for 3 months, respectively.

Respiration and soluble carbohydrates of stored mushrooms (Agaricus bisporus) were determined to be associated with physiological and biochemical changes induced by ionizing radiation treatment which was applied for extending the shelf-life. Immediately after gamma irradiation at 1 to 3 kGy, the respiratory rate of mushrooms increased linearly with increasing doses of irradiation, and then it normarized after 2 days of storage t 9±1℃ and 80±7% RH. In the nonirradiated mushrooms, the respiratory peak was observed at around 5 to 6 days after storage, while irradiation treatment not only reduced respiratory activities of stored mushrooms, but prolonged the peak development. Moisture content and dry matter of mushrooms packaged in a paper box and polyethylene film were relatively constant during the storage for 20 days and the reducing sugar contents decreased significantly after 5 days of storage(p<0.01). Free sugars of mushroom pilei, which consisted of mannitol, trehalose and glucose, also markedly decreased at the earlier part of the storage period and thereafter, 2 kGy irradiation resulted in the reduction of their changes.

To clarify the effect of warm-up movement according to the foot interval on reaction time, this thesis measured the reaction time to sound and light stimuli, compared them in the condition of dividing both intervals into 0cm and 40cmby use of systematic measuring instrument wuth 1/1000sec unit selecting total 30 students,10 athletes and physical education students attending M universities, trainees taking cultural physical education lecated in KyungGi-Do respectively, reached the followung conclusion. 1. For the reaction time to sound and light stimuli, the reaction time to sound stimuli was faster than that to light stimuli. 2. For the reaction time to sound and light stimuli by interval of both feet, athlete groups reaction time was than other groups. 3. For 3000Hz of sound stimuli and red color of light stimuli, the reaction time was than that to other stimuli. 4. For the comparison of reaction time when each group has different intervals at both feet, the interval of both feet with 40cm was faster than that with 0cm. 1) Athlete group showed the significant differentce at reaction time to both sound and light stimuli(P<.05). 2) Physical education student group showed the significant difference at reaction time to both sound and light stimuli(P<.05). 3) General students group showed the significant difference at reaction time to 500Hz and 1000Hz of sound stimuli, red, blue color stimuli(P<.05). 5. For the comparison of reaction time when each group has different intervals at both feet, the result was as follows. 1) Athlete group abd physical education student group did not show the significant difference at reaction time to sound, light stimuli. 2) Athlete group and general student group showed the significant difference at reaction time to 500Hz stimuli when 0cm(P<.05). 3) General student group and physical education student group did not show the significant difference at reaction time to both sound and light stimuli(P<.05).
