        This study purposes to be worth traditional riverscape, which should be considered to establish a theoretic paradigm for an eternal goal of place prosperity in spatial planning. In order to refer to that notion of the paradigm, that place prosperity concerns as well about the identity of the eternal goal for local communities, as about the recognition of people who live at the special area, represented in Korea traditionally with aesthetical eight sceneries in making a symbolic image of the place. The comparing the landscape structure contrast of riverscape and proceeding aesthetical eight sceneries can be got into images and characteristics based the photos and sketches of the sceneries in cases of Keum river and Youngsan river. The contrast of the 8 sceneries in the two rivers has not only the holistic completion of which the riverscape structure should have included aesthetical landscape image. but also the landscape plan for preserving the important traditional regional identity with that the historical and cultural ideas of the rivers should be harmonized. This research should be proved on confirming the paradigm for the place prosperity of riversides as well as having a momentum to find landscape planning methods for conserving the regional identity of tradition and culture and renovating riverscape structure, even though the approach to the research for finding the representative sceneries is focused on expressing the images and characteristics of the 8 sceneries of Keum river and Youngsan river.

      • 地方都市開發의 轉煥技法에 관한 序說

        This study aims at looking into a method having converted urban development in Korea from the concentration policies for the central area into the decentralization for the local for the past 20 years. According to the study the conclusion can be come to the follows. A. The concept of the local urban development can be understood that is a process of the accomplishment of the local urban development policies for regionalism and a means of the ones for regionalization. B. The problems from the local urban development policies are pro-centralized sociality from the citizen consciousness, defects in our legal system for the serious consideration of locality, a top down approached system for the public opinion, negative engagement of local officers, quantitative and qualitative basic needs for the development and insignificant feed back system for the assessment and analysis. C. The directions for the conversion of the development policies are the harmonization of the preceeding conditions for the modification of the national structure for human settlements, the excavation of the practical means for the intensification of the urban function, the reform for the urban structure and function according to the external factors and the achievement of entire linkage for the objective space, time and people. D. The methods converted the urban development into the decentralization policies for the local area are divided into three sides of urban scale, function and location on the local urban development. There are the several factors that the urban development policies have decided from In brief, those are the introducing the funds for the urban development from urban scale, the strengthening the locality and urban structure from urban function and the considering the policies of the management and administration for a broad megalopolis.

      • 제3차 국토종합개발계획에 따른 충북권 대응전략

        This study found the problems for the 3rd National Land Development Tentative Plan from Choong Buk Province: a. The plan can not accomplish the equilibrium of regional development. b. The plan can cause the stagnation of the region rather than upbringing the development. c. The plan has omitted the new industrial development policy in the northern area of Choong Buk. d. The plan lays the foundation of enforcing Seoul metropolitan area. And, this study presented the tasks to Choong Buk province; to establish the position of Central area in Korea, to deal with the unification of National Land Space, and to set the internal force and effort on Choong Buk region. According to this point, the alternatives are to promote the regional economy, to give the Choong Buk people the motivation to keep the pride and tradition of the region, to contrive the institution of compensation for using resources in the region and to establish the plan for environmentally sound and sustainable development. This study suggest the supplementary strategies for the National Land Comprehensive Development Tentative Plan with the point of Choong Buk position. Firstly, the plan has to receive the three part divisional approach to the development area and to induce positively the new town development for the overflow from Seoul metropolitan area. And, the new industrial development plan has to involve the nothern area(Choongju-Jechon) and the construction of a technopolis and an ecopolis near Chongju. Secondly, the plan has to unify the internal circulation tourist area. In order to do so. we have to contruct a large scaled international tourist and recreational area and to have the linkage of the tourist and recreational development between the Choongju Lake side the Daechong Lake side. Thirdly, the plan has to have the projects for recongnizing and enforcing the Central Position and Culture. Forth, the plan has to involve the benefit if Choong Buk form the natural resources management. Lastly, the plan must disclose the rapid construction of Chongju New International Air port and Chongju Techno Ville(Technological Village), which was already announced, and change from the general plan of High speed Rail-way construction between Seoul and Busan to the rational plan, involving the Chongju station and on the route through the Chongju area.

      • 淸州圈 開發計劃 樹立의 基本方向에 關한 硏究

        Korea has made a remarkable growth of economy with the social and cultural change in the last twenty odd years, developing overally human settlements. But negative factors lay behind the disappearance of the growth, regarded in relation to regional development. Those have occurred the disparities of regional growth and income between one region and others, the negligence of regional marginal resources, the development disregarded environmental pollution and the development policies for efficiency rather than creation for comfortable settlements. That is not excepting Cheong-ju region. The object of this study shall be to improve the inhabitant living environment not only laying stress on the traditional culture, but also inducing the external and internal development for Cheongju region and to promote the development for the periphery spreaded the extending effects into integrating human settlements. This study sets limits to theoretical approach and planning for the regional development in contents, the affective region centering around the urban planning area for Cheong ju city in space and the year's 2000 in time. If the regional development planning are continuously established in the existing same way as the first program for land development (1972~1981), there must be occurred the disparities among the regions, the inefficiency and accountability of allocation of resources, the negligence of traditions and the passive participation in the regional development planning. Therefore, the planning must require further examination for human settlements, environmental pollution and economical activities and give serious consideration of regional planning to settlement planning and conservation for environment. The background of Cheongju region shows briefly that the region has a population of about one million and Cheong-ju city has about 253 thousands in 1980. The population of the region in 2000 is expected to be about one and half million and Cheongju city is expected to have 550 thousands within and beyond the limits of 10% or so. The regional growth potentialities about the social and cultural, industrial lecational and centralizational sides are greater than the other region. The traditions worth conserving are the system of open spaces at the city, cultural assets, inheritant temper and the educational and cultural function of the city. Firstly, the regional development planning must establish the policies that make Cheongju city a growth pole of the region; inducing the basic industries concerned with the educational and cultural city function, expanding the utilities, especially roads, between the city and the peripheries, improving on the level of services from the city and creating comfortable cityscape by way of urban design. Secondly, the regional development planning must be based on the human settlement planning; diversifing the allocation of inhabitant population with diverse density, allocating the basic civil facilities, especially schools and cultural ones, allocating resources on a spatial as well as sectoral basis, with a view to improving efficiency and accountability and completing the self-sufficiency within the region and inducing positive investment for the development with the citizen participation. Thirdly, the planning must have harmonization between conservation of tradition and innovative development. In order to maximize the efficiency of the planning, the region area can be divided into three zones; the core of the city, inner ring area and periphery. The conservation is prior to all other strategies in the core of the city, the city central function allocated and the accessibility rasied up. There are the policies to harmonize the conservation and innovation, to offer the public services to the inhabitants and maintain open spaces by way of a sectoral system in the inner ring area. The development policies in the periphery are to maintain developing space as well as reserving area. This study can have brought to the conclusion that Cheongju region hays to develop by way of making Cheongju city a growth pole of the region endowed with educational and cultural functions as well as one cored system of land use.

      • 청주시 토지이용의 특성과 공간구조적 해석

        This study focus on the issue that the urban land uses are neither fixed nor rigid even though the contex of urban character is corelated to the social, historical and cultural bad ground. This study find on the spatial structure transition corelated to the characterized land uses that could show the biogentic and energenic integrations of the urban functions. The findings of the transition abstract as follow: a. The trend of the residential areas in Chongju can be represented as a simple formular Yi=13.85+(1.99×Xi). b. The trend of the commerical areas in Chongju can be represented as a simple formular Yi=-3.42+ (1.99×Xi). c. The trend of the indurstrial areas in Chongju can be represented as a simple formular Yi=2.44+(0.762×Xi). d. The trend of the open space areas in Chongju can be represented as a simple formular Yi=250.3+(-4×Xi).

      • 교외지역 국도건설에 따른 경관구조변화에 관한 연구

        This study purposes to find a basic method how the change of landscape structure according to the national road construction presents traditional detailed landscape factors in suburb area, that can be prospected as follows. a. to bring into the image of countryside towns in suburb areas where the scenery is beautiful and naturalness are plentiful to preserve country landscapes. b. to be harmonized with natural environment and artificial facilities, minimizing the spatial destruction phenomena of traditional internal spaces of towns in suburb areas. c. to execute construction of the national roads in suburb areas, preserving the characteristics of countryside landscape with naturalness of the backgrounds. d. to acquire the visual corridors of the national roads, enforcing the frames of idiosyncratic, creative and systematic regional landscapes in suburb areas. e. to harmonize with landscape and land uses of the countryside areas according to fit the road types to the shift of landscape structure. f. to inculcate pride in regional residents to secure the identity of the countryside landscape in suburb areas. The result of the study can produce effective alternatives as follows. a. to present the basic guidelines for enforcing the quality of road landscape in suburb areas. b. to contribute to establish the comprehensive landscape master plan in suburb areas. c. to promote to having regulations for controlling preservative methods of landscape in suburb areas.

      • 造景設計 施工에 있어서의 電算化에 관한 硏究

        This report aims to demonstrate the powerful benefits of computers to the landscape architectural design and construction, to introduce the LANDCADD software and the ERDAS (Earth Resources Data Analysis System) software and hardware and to suggest the developing Problems for using extansively the softwares. There are some following problems for using the softwares, which might be used independently or combined to use with Auto CAD. ● Can not have a total comprehensive system which can use to solve the drawing Problems of the delicate application in construction details to the Complicate allocation in an extansive site planning. ● Can not provide the 3 dimensional drawing for all of designed materials and building in the same mapping area. ● Can not have linkages, sequences and Composition with designing to the construction detailling. ● Can not be available for analyzing aesthetical preference or human factors considering the psychological approach to landscape design. ● May have difficulty of using the softwares because of changing frequently a social system and laws, ordinances and regulations in Korea. ● Explaning a general description of computers, the configurations of the LANDCADD softwares, the ERDAS softwares and hardwares and the Auto CAD softwares, the report will issue the useful application softwares into applying immediately to Korean landscape architectural design and cost estimating, suggest the potential solution to develop gradually the softwares for computer graphics, engineering and construction and site planning, and give the subject to study on developing the package for landscape planning, construction details, maintenance and total comprehensive design system in Korean landscape architecture.

      • 都心活動과 그 分析體系의 思辨的 接近에 관한 硏究

        This study has an aim to solve the reasonable analysis of civic activities that are caused by the core of the city and related to establishment and land use of urban area, specially a megalopolis. In order to analyze the system of civic activities and function and mechanism of the core of the city, this study gives those definitions including civic establishments and their linkages and investigates not only the genesis of civic activities, but also the speculation of systems and patterns of civic activities. The occurrence of concentration of civic activities defined civic functions has origin in firstly, accessibility into the core of the city and the convenience caused by the location of diversified establishments, secondly, opportunities acquired diverse contacts of activities and thirdly, a spatial charm, goodwill, retained usually from the location. The underlying systems of activity, which result in varying patterns of civic land use, are organized around establishments, classified by kinds of business. These establishments, in turn, are the units for analysis of civic land use. This study proposes the classification of business applicated to analyzing civic activities in consideration of the location of activity and pattern, the linkage among the activity and usual classification. And in order to establish the basic structure of analyzing civic activities, there are proposed the indices as follows : L.Q., CBII, CBHI, IBII, IBHI, F.S.D.U., T.P.D.U., R.P.D.U., E.P.D.U., U.P.D.U,. This study concluded T.P.D.U. = R.P.D.U. + E.P.D.U. + U.P.D.U.
