      • Ginsenoside Re와 Rg_1의 렛드 담췌액 분비 촉진 작용

        The focus of this study was to investigate the influences of ginsenoside Re and Rg_1 on pancreaticobiliary secretion, cholate ouput and amylase activity. After single or two weeks administration of ginsenosides, pancreaticobiliary juice of rats was collected for 8hrs. No change was observed in pancreaticobiliary juice volume in single-treated rats compared to control, but this was significantly increased in two weeks-treated rats. While cholate output was increased in single-treated group as dose-dependent manner, it was significantly increased in two weeks-treated group. A marked increases of amylase activity in the pancreaticobiliary juice were observed in both single administration of Rg_1 and two weeks administration of ginsenoside.

        The effect of saponins including water extract of Panax Ginseng was studied on the pancreaticobiliary secretion and cholate output and amylase activity in rats. The saponins tested were crude saponin, panaxadiol (PDS), panaxatriol (PTS). After single or two weeks administration of the samples, pancreaticobiliary juice of rats were collected for 8 hrs and the results obtained were summarized as follows. (1) In animals with single administration, pancreaticobiliary juice volume(PJV) was not significanty increased as compared to the control group. However, there was a significant increase in PJV of animals from 4 to 6 hrs after two weeks administration of water extract (500mg / kg / day) or crude saponin(50mg / kg / day). (2) Cholate output was increased dose-dependently from 1 to 5 hrs after the single administration of PDS, PTS. On the other hand, after two weeks administration of crude saponin (50mg/kg/day), the cholate output of the animals was increased significantly. (3) amylase activity in the juice were intermittently increased in single administration of water extract, crude saponin and PTS(100mg / kg). After two weeks administration, there was a significant increase in amylase activity of animals treated with PTS as compared to the control group.

        5-Phenyl-2, 4-Pentadienoic Acid Amide 유도체의 중추 억제작용에 관한 연구

        In order to find out the pharmacologically active but less toxic compounds than piperine, the actions of several amide derivatives of 5-phenyl-2, 4-pentadienoic acid on the CNS depressant activities were examined. The nine amide derivatives were investigated by using ICR mice as an experimental amimals on acute toxicities, anticonvulsant, sedative, analgesic and antipyretic effects. In the case of acute toxicities, all derivatives were weaker than piperine except compound III. Compound I showed strong anticonvulsant activity. On the other hand, compound I, III and IV significantly prolonged the sleeping time induced by hexobarbital in mice. Compound I, III and IV exhibited better analgesic effect than aspirin while compound II, V, VII and IX showed similar antipyretic activity to aspirin.
