This paper deal with the improvement performance and test result of traction motor for Bimodal low floor vehicles that are CNG(Compressed Natural Gas) hybrid bus. The improvement performance concept of the traction motor is studied in terms of electrical characteristics and mechanical construction. Finally, this paper introduces the result of the traction motor test for low floor vehicles, and mentioned the detail design concept of traction motor.

This paper deal with the capacity of Traction Motor by performing the train performance simulation and the validity of traction motor capacity for Electric Multiple Unit (EMU) through the mainline temperature rising test. The method of the mainline temperature rising test is presented and the results of the test are compared with each regional EMU. Finally, this paper check the capacity of the traction motor of user specification and mention the importance of the optimal selection of the traction motor capacity.

Platform Screen Door System is a facility on platform to separate platform from track, having automatic sliding door structures interlocked to opening and closing of train door with integrated control unit. When a train comes to a stop at a designed position at a station, onboard ATC/ATO system transmits train berth signal to wayside signaling system. In case of automatic/driverless operation, opening and closing of the Platform Screen Door will be controlled by wayside signaling system. Unfortunately, we often see the case in news that passengers fall into track and their contact with train lead to critical accidents. However, passengers will be free from such accidents on the platform with the Platform Screen Door System. Especially during the rush hours, to ensure passenger"s safety and smooth getting on & off, it is necessary to arrange some station staffs on the platform without the Platform Screen Door System. On the other hand, the Platform Screen Door System will realize such operation by fewer staffs. Due to the above reasons, the Platform Screen Door System is becoming more popular in subway system recently.

A PSD which cooperates with train door provides safety and convenience for passengers. In order to cooperate with train door, the PSD should interface between the PSD control system and the control units of train door. This interface is generally performed in signaling system(ATC/ATO), however, the lines which don"t have the interface functionality in the signaling system, it is required to have additional "PSD inter face system" to communicate between train and PSD. In this paper, we propose a safe PSD interface methodology by discussing interlocked control between train door and PSD, recognition of accuracy stop point, troubleshooting logic and log of troubles and driver panel which are adopted in Inchon line1.

본 논문은 6-스텝까지 인버터의 선형제어영역을 넓히기 위한 공간전압 변조방법의 선형화 기법에 대해 제안하였다. 이 방법은 인버터에서 발생시키고자 하는 전압을 연속모드에서는 보상각을 얻기 위해서 6스텝 모드를 포함하는 불연속모드에서는 불연속 스위칭이 이루어지도록 하는 유지각을 얻기 위해서 퓨리에 급수를 이용하고 있다. 이 각들의 근사화 수식들을 과변조 영역에서 기본파 전압을 보상하기 위해 사용하였다. 따라서, PWM 인버터 출력전압의 최대 활용과 선형 제어를 이룰 수 있다. This paper proposes a linearization technique for the space vector modulation method, which increases the linear control range of inverter up to the 6-step inverter. This method is based on fourier series expansion of the desired output voltage of the inverter to calculate the compensation angle in continuous switching mode and holding angle in discontinuous switching including the 6-step mode respectively. The approximation equation of these angles are used for compensation of fundamental voltage in overmodulation range. Therefore, it is possible to obtain the linear control and the maximized utilization of PWM inverter output voltage.

An inverter-driven induction motor is usually adapted to the traction motor for a high speed drive system requiring safety, reliability, performance, compact size owing to the space and weight alloted for attaching to train, etc. and AC Traction motor for G7 train will be operated in the worst condition such as mechanical vibration, limited mounting space, severe thermal stress, inverter with non-sinusoidal voltage waveform, dust and so on. therefore, design procedure must be carefully carried out with considering the motor size, vibration and thermal expansion of rotor bars, insulation system, reliability of frame, as well as output characteristics. In this paper, we will inform the characteristics and design of the traction motor for G7 train and also analyze the test result of it.

The performance of magnetic levitation controller is affected from not only levitation control algorithm but also the interaction between compositing system, so it is important to design maglev system considering the character of magnetic levitation controller in order to get the required performance of Maglev. The factors affecting the levitation controller of maglev are the dynamics of levitation magnet, the carrying weight of the overall system, the normal force and lateral force of traction motor and rail condition. In this paper the interaction between magnet and vehicle weight is analysed on side of stability of levitation controller in order to get the required performance of levitation controller.

Linear metro with single sided linear induction motor is applied to the urban transit system because of non adhesion drive. But linear induction motor is required to reduce the energy consumption to maximize efficiency of LIM. In this paper, design requirements such as pole pitch, motor length, air gap, overhang length and the material of secondary sheet are investigated as major parameter of SLIM. It is effective for increasing the efficiency to adopt the copper reaction plate and decrease the mechanical air gap as small as possible.

EMU(Electric Multiple Unit) operated in local area is mostly consist of moving system on the rail and the traction motor drives the gear and wheel with the mechanical propulsion force. Most of countries are interested in Magnetic Levitation Vehicle for the transportation system on next generation and they have been studying about it continuously. Thus this paper is studied the Linear Induction Motor as the propulsion equipment of Magnetic Levitation Vehicle.
