        At a time when public attention is focused on the environment of natural resources, while simultaneously society is increasing at an ever acceleratiog rate its denand for electrical power, the possibility of utitizing the power of the oceans by pollution free electrical power, the possibility of utitizing the power of the oceans by pollution free tidal power generation came to be most attractive. Though tidal power has been used to a limited extend over several centuries only recently has some significant effort been dedicated to realizing some of the vast potential throughout several countries which may have the available sites. The tides offer an abundant natural source of energy, yet remain virtually unharnessed. This is not for lack of technical understanding, but rather for a sufficient case to convince supply authorities to invest in this field, now a days the Korean government through its ministry of power resources awakened to search for the possibility of construction on the tidel power plant on the west coast of the country. The experience of recent years indicates that the pattern of power generation is hardening in favour of nuclear plant. Despite the attractions of the tidal energy source, its position is declining for the operational reasons, and for overcoming lunar/solar cyclic inequalities, in this paper author attempted to work out the most economic and feasible methods in construction of foundation by comparison with other alternative technologies. In the second chapter discussed the advantages and disadvantages between two prime systems of construction: dry enclosure-requiring cofferdams, directly in the sea-by caissons. The third chapter presents discussion on the problems of foundations and scour. The fouth chapter suggests the use of bituminous materials for bottom protection and slope protection. In the conclusion has the practical illustration of construction been introduced for drawing attention to utilization of tidal power resources for future development of Korea.

      • 舶用 디이젤機關의 自動調速制御에 關한 解析

        Lately it has been deeply marked that the Hydro Speed Governer turns up an important and outstanding appearence as an automatic controlling system in the field of marine diesel engine. In the past it was mainly adopted the mechanical governer for that function, but it has brought remarkable improvement to the technique of analysis due to the application with modern electronic computer today. It looks very hard project to analyze the Hydro Speed Governing System of engine, however, it is possible to seek for the method of measuring the approximate Value of Transient Response if certain appropriate assumption and hypotheses set up. In this thesis, the device of Hydro-Speed Governing for marine diesel engine is aimly studied. Particularly on the fishering marine diesel engine installed with the C.P.P.- Controlable pitch propeller-, the relationship of Reference Input and Controlled Value, the Steady State operation and the Transient Response on the relationship of the Disturbance and Control System are apparently investigated over and analyzed of the general coefficients by the theoretical computation and experimental method. As the program for the remote control and automation of ship got into request of rapid development, but it requires more improvement on it until approaching to standard available. Hydro Speed Governer posses a sufficient power with out-put and wide range of response, isochronous character, therefore, this is precisely capable on a definite speed running no matter of disturbance. In this treatise, the speed governer manufactured by American Woodward Co.was adopted for the material, with which the ships hull, engine and speed governer were analyszed in trinity. In the first chapter, there investigated over the Steady State Operation and Transient Response on the hull and engine. The second chapter contains over the investigation of Stability through general system by Disturbance with the Speed Governer installed on board.

      • 설악산 관광개발에 따른 캠프싸이트 모델설정에 관한 연구

        The increase of nation's income has caused people to spend much money and time for their attaining good leisure and better life. In most countries, the industrialisation has brought another sort of tourism, in particular, to avoaid the pollution area. A glance of the brief sketch on the figure of tourists in the world may easily show us the continuous increase in its number of the year. According to the statistic number from the World Tourism Organization (W.T.O.), the total number of tourists figured in 1975 indicates about 213,000,000, which jumped by 2% from that of 1974. Even in 1977, total number of leave approaches 4,500,000,000 by average 4 through 5 days each. The trend as such proves that the tourism industry is going to occupy a good place in social and economic importance. In industrialised nations, tourism draws a remarkable attention from the public to its successful achievement in an angle of contribution that it harmoniously exercises as a role of re-distribution of wealth. Therefore, the most proper policy for it has affected largely on the nation's income. By the reason that income from it leads high gaining rate of foreign currency, it can be considered within the tragedy industry of a nation. In chapter one, involves the purpose, limit, method, and effect of study. In chapter two, explains what the up-to-date situation of its industrialisation is in Kang Won Do district, and the tourist population is. In chapter three, characterizes the natural resources, the cultural resources, the comparison by other districts, and the proposed planning for ifs development on the Seol-Ark district. In chapter four. proposes a trial set of campsite with a selected cine, how to secure its land, pre-example of its planning, its purpose, and its practical modeling of design. In chapter five, concludes a propriety on the setting up the campsite.

      • 멀티미디어 연속매체 데이터를 위한 동적 그룹화 버퍼 재배치 알고리즘

        Due to the characteristics of multimedia data and interactive usage, multimedia applications demand specific support from the conventional database management systems. Existing buffer management strategies, such as LRU(Least Recently Used) and MRU(Most Recently Used), do not sufficiently support the handling of continuous media data in realtime multimedia application, such as VOD(Viedo On Demand) services. They exploit neither the knowledge of outstanding requests nor the fact that continuous media data is accessed sequentially. In this paper, we propose a new buffer management strategy for continuous media storage servers, which takes into account the characteristics of continuous media data. Our buffer management strategy effectively handles the buffer frames by grouping the user transactions with the closely related request intervals. In the performance study, we conduct a simulation experiment and then show that out algorithm outperforms other buffer management strategies.

        VOD 시스템을 위한 효율적인 P2Proxy 캐싱 기법

        As VOD service over the Internet becomes popular, a large sealable VOD system in P2P streaming environment has become increasing important. In this paper, we propose a new proxy caching scheme, called P2Proxy, to replace the traditional proxy with a sealable P2P proxy in P2P streaming environment. In the proposed scheme, each client in a group stores a different part of the stream from a server into its local buffer and then uses a group of clients as a proxy. Each client receives the request stream from other clients as long as the parts of the stream are available in the client group. The only missing parts of the stream which are not in the client group are directly received from the server. We represent the caching process between clients in a group and a server and then describe a group creation process. This paper proposes the directory structure to share the caching information among clients. By using the directory information, we minimize message exchange overload for a stream caching and playing. We also propose a recovery method for failures about the irregular behavior of P2P clients. In this paper, we evaluate the performance of our proposed scheme and compare the performance with the existing P2P streaming systems. 인터넷 상에서 VOD 서비스 보급이 확산되면서 대규모 VOD 서비스 실현을 위한 P2P 환경에서의 VOD 시스템에 대한 관심이 대두되고 있다. 본 논문은 대규모 VOD 시스템을 실현하기 위하여 기존의 프록시를 대체하여 P2P 환경 하에서 다수의 클라이언트들로 구성되는 새로운 프록시 캐싱 방법인 P2Proxy 기법을 제안한다. 제안된 기법은 P2P 환경에서 비디오 스트림을 클라이언트들에 분산 저장하고 이들 클라이언트 그룹을 프록시로 활용하는 방법이다. 즉, 각 클라이언트는 요구한 스트림을 자신이 속한 그룹의 다른 클라이언트들로부터 캐싱된 스트림들을 전송 받으며 캐쉬에 없는 부분만을 서버로부터 전송 받는다. 본 논문은 P2Proxy의 그룹에 포함된 클라이언트와 서버 간의 스트림 캐싱 과정을 통해 각 그룹의 생성과 소멸 과정을 보이고, 클라이언트의 캐싱 정보를 공유하기 위한 디렉토리 구조를 제안한다. 이 디렉토리 정보를 이용하여 그룹에 참여한 다른 클라이언트의 정보를 얻는 과정을 보이며, 이를 활용함으로써 재생과 전송을 위한 메시지 교환을 최소화한다. 또한, P2P 환경에서 클라이언트의 불규칙한 행동으로 인한 이탈에 따른 복구 과정도 제안한다. 본 논문은 성능 평가를 통해 제안된 기법이 기존의 P2P 스트리밍 기법에 비하여 그 성능이 우수함을 보인다.
