As a part of a study on home management, the following are the conclusions I have reached as to the overall time pattern of a homemaker with teaching profession in the primay school, especially that of those having theer Children(Under or over school age), Compared with the case of foreign countries. 1. Homemaking Hours, leisue time, social and Cultural activities hours of a homemaker are materially controlled by whether or not she follows an accupation outside her home. 2. Ages of a homemakers children, too, matter much to her homemaking hours, leisure time and social and Cultural activities hours. 3. Physilogical time depends comparatively little on the presence of the occupation on the childrends age of a homemaker. 4. Compared With the case of Japan, West Germany, the United states, Hungary, or Yugoslavia, a Korean Homemaker spends as much time in homemaking. but, when engaged in teaching profession, she spends less time there. 5. The case of a Korean teacher-homemaker is much the same with that of a Japanese homemaker having on occupation outside home, an ordinary homemaker in Korea, however, spends less time in homemaking but more time phsiological matters.

The purpose of this study is to survey resources, Task distribution and preferenes, of urban homemakers' House work. The data in this study are obtained from a survey by means of a guestionnaire to 362 home makers in Busan from september to November, 1982. 1. Though they have much enthusiasm for housework, their utilization of housework resources is not based on efficiency engineering nor scientific management. Therefore, their purpose and behavior do not agree with each other. 2. Their criterion in values the housework is placed on how much contentment they have given to the family and how much they have economized their housework expenses. 3. In general, there exists a certain task distribution among homemakers, the other members of the family, housemaids, and part-time housekeepers. 4. They appear to have a preferenes in favor of shopping goods and against washing dishes, cleaning the laundry, and cleaning the house. 5. The higher educated and the older they are, the stronger is their dislike for housework. 6. Their knowledge and skills obtained at school are not made practical use of in their daily lives.
아동의 食習慣과 치아우식증과의 연관성 연구 : 통합적 접근을 중심으로 an Integrated Approach

Research findings suggest the following conclusions. 1. In Home Economics (Home Economics Education), an integrated study is desirable which investigates problems in terms of an interdisciplinary approach combining Home Economics with other subjects as well as through the subject itself. 2. The relationship between eating habits at meals and illness should be considered as the interaction between the subject and the environment. The problems should be dealt with through an integrated approach, where preventive education within Home Economics (Eating Habits at Meals) is combined with cause finding and treatment in dentistry. 3. The main cause of dental caries, except for oral causes, is diet and the most influential agent is sucrose. The more sugar and stickiness food has, the greater the negative influence it has on dental health. 4. Eating Habits education for primary school students should be focused on a well-balanced diet to promote health and prevent illness. In addition, it is very important to understand our eating habits at meals.

The result of a study on cooking work of sixth graders on the basis of teaching materials for food and nutrition education of fourth, fifth, and sixth graders of clementery schools is as follows: (1) Cooking experience amounts to 86.1% of the whole graders: sometimes to 92.8% including the case of self-service. (2) The food by which they can acguire cooking experience most often is fruits and eggs; their method is mostly washing and spreading (bread with butters). Vegetables and fish are the food by which they can acguire least experience, for they find seasoning and boiling most difficult. (3) The food they find casiest to cook are eggs and instant food. The fact makes little difference between boys and girls. (4) Sixth graders can cook more casily than fourth ones and girls it easier to cook then boys. (5) Steps of cooking experience are as follows spreading, washing, trimming, cutting, up, table setting, seasoning, boiling, and washing up. (6) When children cook, the emphasis must be directed on the basic cooking guidance about the basic food In the choice of food materials provincial characteristics and children's interest must be taken into consideration morever, no less inportant is to induce them to put things in order after cooking. (7) It is necessary to train children to participate in cooking, a household work, with willingness to work, responsibility, cooperation, congenial relationships with others.
