인터넷 중독 청소년의 자존감, 우울, 충동성과 사회관계
윤혜미(Hye Mee Yoon),남영옥(Young Ok Nam) 충북대학교 생활과학연구소 2009 생활과학연구논총 Vol.13 No.1
Over the last decade, there has been increased interest in the addictive potential of the Internet, and past studies have indicated that the addictive pattern of Internet use are associated with some psycho-social traits of the users and adolescents and young adults are especially vulnerable population. This study investigated the extent to which psycho-social factors were related to the extent of Internet usage among adolescents and to examine the potential influences of self-esteem, depression and impulsiveness on social relations of the adolescents with Internet addiction. A total of 2,495 adolescents ages between 15-17 responded to the questionnaire, which included Young's IAT, Rosenberg's Self-esteem instrument, Beck's BDI, BISII, Hudson's IFR and IPR. Results showed that 61.0% of the sample were considered Internet addicted(4.0% seriously pathological, 57.0% moderate), who suffer from higher level of depression, impulsiveness, and problems of social relations and low self-esteem than their peers. Regression analysis indicated that problems in social relations among adolescents with Internet addiction were predicted by low self-esteem and depression. No link was found between impulsiveness and social relations. Results suggest that preventive efforts for Internet addiction of adolescents are in imminent needs. Implications to help professionals are addressed.

Commonly used spices in Korean cooking (red pepper powder, garlic, ginger) were evaluated for anti-obesity properties and effects on triglyceride (TG) and cholesterol in blood and adipose tissues in rats fed a high fat (20%) diet. SD rats were raised for four weeks on either a normal diet (ND, based on the AIN-93M diet), high fat diet (HFD, supplemented with 16% lard oil in the ND), or diets containing 5% red pepper powder (RPP), garlic or ginger. These spices significantly decreased weight gain compared to HFD, but garlic and ginger showed a greater effect on reducing weight gain than RPP. The weights of liver and epididymal and perirenal fat pads in garlic and ginger diet groups were lower than those of the HFD groups (p < 0.05). The garlic and ginger also decreased triglyceride and cholesterol contents in liver and epididymal and perirenal fat pad, reversing the higher levels seen in HFD. RPP, garlic and ginger supplemented diets were effective in lowering serum triglyceride and cholesterol levels (p< 0.05). These results indicated that garlic and ginger more effectively suppressed the effects of HFD on body fat gain and lipid values of adipose tissues and serum than RPP.

Metal induced crystallization of amorphous silicon using metal solution
Yoon, Soo-Young,Oh, Jae-Young,Kim, Chae-Ok,Jang, Jin The Korean Vacuum Society 1998 Applied Science and Convergence Technology Vol.7 No.1
Amorphous silicon (a-Si) was crystallized by metal induced crystallization using metal solution. The a-Si films spin coated with a 50,000 ppm Ni solution were crystallized at as low as $500^{\circ}C$. Needlelike morphology, developed as a result of the migration of $NiSi_2$, precipitates, appears in the MIC poly-Si. The growth of the needlelike crystallites proceeds to a direction parallel to (111). The crystallization temperature can be lowered to $450^{\circ}C$ by Au addition. The enhancement of crystallization results from the decrease of interfacial energy at the NiSi2/Si interface by Au addition.
Purification and Characterization of Aspartase from Hafnia alvei
Yoon, Moon-Young,Park, Jae-Ho,Choi, Kyong-Jae,Kim, Joung-Mok,Kim, Yeon-Ok,Park, Jon-Bum,Kyong, Jin-Burm Korean Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biol 1998 Journal of biochemistry and molecular biology Vol.31 No.4
Aspartase (EC 4.3.1.1) from Hafnia alvei was purified to homogeneity by a combination of DEAE-cellulose, Red A-agarose, and Sepharose 6B chromatography. The purified enzyme appeared homogeneous on denatured SDS-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis. The purified enzyme was a tetrameric protein composed of identical subunits with a molecular weight of 55,000 daltons. The optimum pH for the enzymatic reaction was 8.5 and the optimum temperature for maximum activity was $45^{\circ}C$. The enzyme has an absolute requirement of divalent metal ions ($Mg^{2+}$, $Mn^{2+}$) at the alkaline pH. The enzyme, however, was inactivated in the presence of other divalent cations such as $Zn^{2+}$, $Ca^{2+}$. The helical content of the purified enzyme was estimated by CD spectropolarimetry to be 61%.
Synthesis of Peptides by Bovine Gastricsin
Yoon, Joo-Ok,Kim, Young-Jun Korean Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biol 1995 Journal of biochemistry and molecular biology Vol.28 No.1
Bovine gastricsin catalyzes peptide synthesis over an optimum range of pH 4~5, resulting in satisfactory yields of methyl esters and p-nitroanilides of benzyloxycarbonyl tetra- to hexa-peptides, provided that hydrophobic amino acid residues form new peptide bonds. The effectiveness of the enzyme also depends on the nature of adjacent amino acid residues. An aspartic proteinase with a characteristic gastricsin specificity pattern would be useful for the synthesis of middle-length peptides.
