        Characterization of microbiota of naturally fermented sauerkraut by high-throughput sequencing

        Sauerkraut is a traditionally fermented cabbage, with a unique taste and beneficial properties, in northeast China. The taste and flavor of sauerkraut vary from region to region, owing to the differences in microorganisms. Illumina MiSeq sequencing was used to identify and quantify the microbial community composition of the broth and leaves of the naturally fermented Suan-cai collected from northeast China. The alpha and beta diversity of the samples from three areas in Heilongjiang province shown that the complexity of bacterial diversity of the three samples was C, A and B in turn. The Lactobacillus widely existed in fermented sauerkraut, of these, Latilactobacillus sakei, Loigolactobacillus coryniformis subsp. torquens, Lactiplantibacillus plantarum subsp. plantarum, and Secundilactobacillus malefermentans were more abundant in the sauerkraut leaves than in fermentation broth. Other genera of lactic acid bacteria Pediococcus and Leuconostoc, which have potential probiotic properties, were also present. However, some harmful bacteria such as Arcobacter and Acinetobacter were also detected.

        영화에서 표현된 색채의 특성과 내러티브의 연관성에 관한 분석

        Since the first appearance of color film in the late nineteenth Century, the amount of information carried by color films has been increasing day by day, and color has gradually become part of the basic concept of the film. Numerous film researchers and psychologists have added a variety of definitions of colors which have become an indispensable expression of the film. When watching movies, viewers will be affected by changes in lightness and chroma of color in different scenarios. The right use of color can arouse various associations of human life experiences, and certain colors have certain symbolic meanings. The purpose of this thesis is to understand the symbolism and character of color in the film and its relevance to the plot. And to study the implication of colors in human senses and the effect in the film arts. In this connection, the thesis analyzes the symbolic meaning of color in film, and scenarios directed by David Lynch as the research object, analyzes the effect of various colors’lightness and chroma on colors’symbolic value and the correlation between the performance of the color and the relevance of the story. Through these analyses, it can be found that, in David Lynch"s films, lightness and chroma are closely related to the plot of the movie Therefore, we can see that the color is indeed symbolic and has an impact on the film plot.

        pH-Responsive Multifunctional Materials with Switchable Superamphiphobicity and Superoleophobicity-Superhydrophilicity for Controllable Oil/Water Separation

        Stimulus-responsive materials with controllable oil/water separation performance have prodigious potentialapplication. Here, a new thought for low-cost, time-saving, flexible approach has been developed to prepare a pH-responsivematerial with switchable superamphiphobicity and superoleophobicity-superhydrophilicity. The as-prepared material can beeasily applied onto multifarious substrates and presents stable superamphiphobicity. However, when the modified material istreated by alkaline solution, its surface wettability turns superhydrophilicity and superoleophobicity, thus water is allowed topenetrate through the material whereas the oil was blocked on the surface. Moreover, the surface wettability can be recoveredto superamphiphobicity quickly via treating the material with acidic aqueous. Hence, such a controllable water wettabilityand stable oil repellency property endows the as-prepared material with excellent capability to separate water from oil/watermixture. In addition, the pH-responsive materials can maintain switchable wettability after being treated by acid and alkalinumerous cycles. Furthermore, the obtained materials also exhibit excellent recyclable, self-cleaning and flame-resistantperformance, which shows potential applications for smart water-oil separators and fire-shielding protectors.

        FgIlv3a is crucial in branched-chain amino acid biosynthesis, vegetative differentiation, and virulence in Fusarium graminearum

        Dihydroxyacid dehydratase (DHAD), encoded by ILV3, catalyses the third step in the biosynthetic pathway of branchedchain amino acids (BCAAs), which include isoleucine (Ile), leucine (Leu), and valine (Val). Enzymes involved in BCAA biosynthesis exist in bacteria, plants, and fungi but not in mammals and are therefore attractive targets for antimicrobial or herbicide development. In this study, three paralogous ILV3 genes (FgILV3A, FgILV3B, and FgILV3C) were identified in the genome of Fusarium graminearum, the causal agent of Fusarium head blight (FHB). Deletion of FgILV3A alone or combined with FgILV3B or FgILV3C indicated an important role for FgILV3A in BCAA biosynthesis. FgILV3A deletion mutants lost the ability to grow on medium lacking amino acids. Exogenous supplementation of 1 mM Ile and Val rescued the auxotrophy of ΔFgIlv3A, though 5 mM was required to recover the growth defects in ΔFgIlv3AB and ΔFgIlv3AC strains, indicating that FgIlv3b and FgIlv3c exhibit redundant but accessory roles with FgIlv3a in BCAA biosynthesis. The auxotrophy of ΔFgIlv3A resulted in pleiotropic defects in aerial hyphal growth, in conidial formation and germination, and in aurofusarin accumulation. In addition, the mutants showed reduced virulence and deoxynivalenol production. Overall, our study demonstrates that FgIlv3a is crucial for BCAA biosynthesis in F. graminearum and a candidate fungicide target for FHB management.

        Seismic behavior of properly designed CBFs equipped with NiTi SMA braces

        Shape memory alloys (SMA) exhibit superelasticity which refers to the capability of entirely recovering large deformation upon removal of applied forces and dissipating input energy during the cyclic loading reversals when the environment is above the austenite finish temperature. This property is increasingly favored by the earthquake engineering community, which is currently developing resilient structures with prompt recovery and affordable repair cost after earthquakes. Compared with the other SMAs, NiTi SMAs are widely deemed as the most promising candidate in earthquake engineering. This paper contributes to evaluate the seismic performance of properly designed concentrically braced frames (CBFs) equipped with NiTi SMA braces under earthquake ground motions corresponding to frequently-occurred, design-basis and maximum-considered earthquakes. An ad hoc seismic design approach that was previously developed for structures with idealized SMAs was introduced to size the building members, by explicitly considering the strain hardening characteristics of NiTi SMA particularly. The design procedure was conducted to compliant with a suite of ground motions associated with the hazard level of design-basis earthquake. A total of four six-story CBFs were designed by setting different ductility demands for SMA braces while designating with a same interstory drift target for the structural systems. The analytical results show that all the designed frames successfully met the prescribed seismic performance objectives, including targeted maximum interstory drift, uniform deformation demand over building height, eliminated residual deformation, controlled floor acceleration, and slight damage in the main frame. In addition, this study indicates that the strain hardening behavior does not necessarily impose undesirable impact on the global seismic performance of CBFs with SMA braces.

        Provably Secure Forward Secure Certificateless Proxy Signature Scheme

        In order to deal with key exposure problem, we introduce forward secure technique into certificateless proxy signature scheme, and propose the formal definition and security model of the forward secure certificateless proxy signature. Our security model takes into account the super adversary in certificateless signature. Furthermore, we present a construction of forward secure certificateless proxy signature scheme with bilinear maps. Based on the difficulty of computational Diffie-Hellman problem, we prove the scheme is secure against chosen message attack in the random oracle model. Finally, we analyze efficiency of the proposed scheme.

        A Novel Least Square and Image Rotation based Method for Solving the Inclination Problem of License Plate in Its Camera Captured Image

        Recognizing license plate from its traffic camera captured images is one of the most important aspects in many traffic management systems. Despite many sophisticated license plate recognition related algorithms available online, license plate recognition is still a hot research issue because license plates in each country all round the world lack of uniform format and their camera captured images are often affected by multiple adverse factors, such as low resolution, poor illumination effects, installation problem etc. A novel method is proposed in this paper to solve the inclination problem of license plates in their camera captured images through four parts: Firstly, special edge pixels of license plate are chosen to represent main information of license plates. Secondly, least square methods are used to compute the inclined angle of license plates. Then, coordinate rotation methods are used to rotate the license plate. At last, bilinear interpolation methods are used to improve the performance of license plate rotation. Several experimental results demonstrated that our proposed method can solve the inclination problem about license plate in visual aspect and can improve the recognition rate when used as the image preprocessing method.

        Adaptively Secure Anonymous Identity-based Broadcast Encryption for Data Access Control in Cloud Storage Service

        Cloud computing is now a widespread and economical option when data owners need to outsource or share their data. Designing secure and efficient data access control mechanism is one of the most challenging issues in cloud storage service. Anonymous broadcast encryption is a promising solution for its advantages in the respects of computation cost and communication overload. We bring forward an efficient anonymous identity-based broadcast encryption construction combined its application to the data access control mechanism in cloud storage service. The lengths for public parameters, user private key and ciphertext in the proposed scheme are all constant. Compared with the existing schemes, in terms of encrypting and decrypting computation cost, the construction of our scheme is more efficient. Furthermore, the proposed scheme is proved to achieve adaptive security against chosen-ciphertext attack adversaries in the standard model. Therefore, the proposed scheme is feasible for the system of data access control in cloud storage service.

        Robustness of Performance-Based Plastic Design Method for SMABFs

        Shape memory alloys (SMAs) are gaining increasing attentions from earthquake engineering community, due to the superleastic property, which is capable of off ering energy dissipation capacity and recentering ability to various structural systems. SMA braced frames (SMABFs) are emerging as promising frames with advanced seismic resilience. Recently, the performance-based plastic design (PBPD) method was developed for such structural system. However, the robustness of this design approach still needs rigorous examinations by addressing the eff ects of defi ning diff erent performance targets or using diff erent seismic design spectra in the design procedure. In doing so, examinations were carried out from two perspectives. The fi rst one set various performance targets combining diff erent interstory drift ratio and brace ductility demand in the design procedure based on the design basis earthquake spectrum, and then the resulting SMABFs were subjected to earthquake ground motions corresponding to design basis hazard level. The second one conducted the design procedure at three seismic hazard levels representative of frequently occurred earthquake, design basis earthquake, and maximum considered earthquake, respectively, and then assessed the seismic performance upon earthquakes associated with three seismic intensities. The analytical results show that the designed frames as per the PBPD method always coincide with the performance targets very well, regardless of the prescribed targets and adopted design spectrum. Therefore, this paper provided sound results which successfully demonstrated the high robustness of the previously developed PBPD method for SMABFs.
