This study conducts the questionnaire of satisfaction of girls'students at four girls' middle schools in Gwang-ju on their achool uniform and obtains the following results.First, it is shown that their satisfaction of the current school uniform design is low and its major reason is that they don't like its design. So the design considering the aesthetic sense of school uniform should be developed. Second, it is found that they show low satisfaction on the colors of their school uniform, prefer white blouse and vest gray skirt and blue winter jacket. Third, they have high dissatisfaction in the upper and lower length of school uniforms and they prefer the length of coat inder waist and the length of skirt 3㎝ below the knee most. Fourth, in the survey of preference of materials, they prefer cotton most and the use of materials complementing the functionality of school uniform material is required. From the above results, school uniform designs students prefer are as follows; They prefer sailor collar blouse and pleat skirt most which can consider refersh and beauty for summer school uniform. As spring-and-atumn school uniform, they prefer shirt collar, thght sleeve and semi-tight skirt most. As winter school uniform, they like standing collar which considers coldness and function. This study is conducted with four schools at specific area, but it suggests the following researches which consider the diversification of schools.

The purpose of this study is to provide the basic data for behavior of steel plate repaired reinforced concrete beams. The parameters were the thickness of steel plates. The concrete beams repaired with bonded epoxy and steel plate. The test show that the steel plate is very effective and predictable for strength damaged beams. The results show that the plate is the very important factor of strength and deformation in the damaged beams. In addition, the ultimate strength and deformation of steel plate repaired beams slightly more increased than the original beams.
의과대학 학생의 맨눈해부학 지식에 대한 임상교수의 인식도 조사

의과대학과 의학전문대학원에 통합교육과정이 도입되면서 임상실습 기간의 확대로 기초의학의 강의 시간이 줄어들었으며, 대학에 따라서 맨눈해부학 교육의 시간과 내용은 상당한 차이를 보이고 있다. 이에 따라 재학생과 졸업생의 해부학 지식의 저하에 대한 우려가 제기되고 있다. 해부학 교수와 학습의 방향 설정의 기초 자료로 활용하기 위하여 임상실습 과정 학생들의 맨눈해부학 지식과 교육과정 내에서 해부학 교수법의 현 상태에 대하여 임상실습을 지도하는 임상 교수의 인식도에 대한 조사가 필요하였다. 부산·경남지역의 5개 의과대학에 근무하는 임상교수를 대상으로 학생들의 맨눈해부학 지식에 대한 인식도를 설문 조사하여 통계분석을 하였다. 임상교수의 입장에서 졸업생의 임상해부학 지식 정도(2.4±0.6)와 고학년 학생의 전반적인 해부학 지식(2.6±0.7)의 저하를 우려하였으며, 선택 집중해부실습(3.8±0.9)과 해부학 교육 시기 확대(3.3±1.0)에 긍정적이었다. 학생들의 전반적 국소해부학 지식의 수준에 대해서는 외과계열과 영상의학, 외과계열과 기타계열 사이에 유의한 차이를 보였으며(p?0.05), 외과 계열이 해부학 지식수준의 저하를 가장 우려하였다. 해부학교육 시기의 확대에 대해서는 영상의학이 내과, 외과 및 기타 계열과 유의한 차이를 보여 가장 긍정적인 응답을 하였다(p?0.001). 학생들이 해부학 지식이 낮은 원인으로는 임상맥락이 적은 해부학교육이 가장 높았으며, 그 다음으로 통합교육과정에 따른 해부학의 정체성 감소였다. There is concerns about the perceived decline in the knowledge of gross anatomy of the medical students and postgraduate trainees. It is partly caused by the introduction of integrated medical curriculum and the shortage of basic medical science program and the extension of clinical clerkship consequently. There is widespread variability in the teaching style and anatomical curricular content at the medical school in Korea. Despite these changes in the anatomical education, there have been few attempts to assess the opinions of senior clinical teachers on the state of anatomical knowledge of students and the place of anatomy teaching within the curriculum. We sought the views of the clinical teachers on the adequacy of the anatomical knowledge of current students and recent graduates of 5 medical schools in Pusan and Gyeongsang-Nam do areas. Most of the clinical teachers were of the opinion that current medical students have an insufficient anatomical knowledge. They indicated the causes of decline were the clinical irrelevant anatomical teaching content and weakness of identity of anatomy by the introduction of the integrated medical education program. There was widespread support for both the concepts of spreading anatomy teaching throughout the medical course, and an optional, clinically related final year student project in the anatomy.
어린 두 자녀를 둔 3교대 간호사의 양육 갈등 경험: 현상학적 연구

Purpose: To understand the essentials of rearing conflict experience by three shift nurses in advanced general hospitals. Methods: The design was a qualitative research of phenomenology. Participants were 7 shift nurses working in advanced general hospitals who were rearing young children. Data were collected individually through in-depth interview on their life experiences. Data were analyzed by Colaizzi’s phenomenological methodology. Results: Eighteen themes were drawn from 256 meaningful experiences and these themes were integrated to six theme clusters. The most influencing themes were ‘Regret that I cannot satisfy even the slightest wish’, ‘Fail to care for kids’, and ‘Mutual feeling to care giver between appreciation and inconvenience’. Other themes were as follows: ‘Body and mind are broken’, ‘The need for a three-shift system to support nurses who are rearing children’, ‘Doing my best for work and child rearing’. Conclusion: The nature of three-shift nurses working in advanced hospital and caring kids is explained as ‘lives with conflict’ between work and home. This study suggests it is necessary to establish a 24-hour care center for 3-shift nurses to keep working while rearing their children.
Src tyrosine kinase regulates the stem cell factor–induced breakdown of the blood–retinal barrier

<P><B>Purpose</B></P><P>Stem cell factor (SCF) has been recently acknowledged as a novel endothelial permeability factor. However, the mechanisms by which SCF-induced activation of the SCF cognate receptor, cKit, enhances endothelial permeability have not been fully elucidated. This study aimed to investigate the role of Src in SCF-induced breakdown of the blood–retinal barrier (BRB).</P><P><B>Methods</B></P><P>In vitro endothelial permeability and in vivo retinal vascular permeability assays were performed to investigate the role of Src in SCF-induced breakdown of the BRB. Immunofluorescence staining experiments were performed to analyze the cellular distribution of phosphorylated Src and vascular endothelial (VE)-cadherin.</P><P><B>Results</B></P><P>SCF markedly reduced electric resistance across the human retinal vascular endothelial monolayer in vitro and enhanced extravasation of dyes in murine retinal vasculature in vivo. Inhibition of cKit activation using cKit mutant mice and chemical inhibitor substantially diminished the ability of SCF to increase endothelial permeability and retinal vascular leakage. In human retinal vascular endothelial cells, SCF induced strong phosphorylation of Src and distinct localization of phosphorylated Src in the plasma membrane. Inhibition of Src activation using chemical inhibitors abolished the SCF-induced hyperpermeability of human retinal vascular endothelial cells and retinal vascular leakage in mice. In addition, treatment with Src inhibitors restored junctional expression of VE-cadherin that disappeared in SCF-treated retinal endothelial cells and retinal vasculature.</P><P><B>Conclusions</B></P><P>These results showed the important role of Src in mediating SCF-induced breakdown of the BRB and retinal vascular leakage. Given that increased retinal vascular permeability is a common manifestation of various ocular diseases, the SCF/cKit/Src signaling pathway may be involved in the development of the hyperpermeable retinal vasculature in many ocular disorders.</P>
