RISK ANALYSIS in Mongolian Central Region Coal Mines

        Nandintsetseg Sosorbaram,Seungbum Ryoo,Chongsoo Cheung J-INSTITUTE 2020 Regulations Vol.5 No.2

Purpose: The mining industry is a highly risky field where risk factors impact each other much. Mining is the leading branch of the economy of Mongolia. Rural areas in Mongolia isn t well developed and the country s pop-ulation is not crowded mining industry is so risky. And also the risk factors in the Mongolian mining field are highly impacted by each other made me study a detailed and staged method of risk management. Method: To define mining risk factors we studied the classifications of international experts and made a sur-vey among the mining specialists of Mongolia. Then we defined the risks into 8 factors and 31 subfactors. By the survey research, the logical principle of impact factors was defined. After that, we made a systematic analysis of the dependence between the impact factors and their impacting levels. As the result, we found out a staged design of risk analysis. Results: The result of the Risk Matrix risk analysis showed that the central region mines in Mongolia have a high-risk level and they need a detailed risk assessment. While the WSM analysis result says that most mines have got high management risk, DEMATEL analysis results mines have high risks in subfactors such Organiza-tional structure adaptation, Human error failure. Conclusion: The research result shows that this comprehensive risk method is suitable for making detailed risk analysis in companies liable to high risk and has many influencing impacted risk factors. In this paper, we offered a comprehensive risk analysis method and it was also tested to analyze common risks in Mongolian Central Re-gion Coal Mines. The results of applying the proposed method in a real case study demonstrate that it can effec-tively handle risk assessment when implementing risk analysis in a Mining organization.

The FGI conducted qualitative surveys through in-depth interviews with the experts. Results: The operating way for BCP exercise, cycle and exercise types etc, are the factors to impact the level of BCMS organization internalization. The author derived the methodology for the BCMS internalization to the Bank, it is considered in terms of education and training for staffs, activation of communication between organ-izations and individuals, BCMS operating standards in detailed level to avoid any doubts in BCM operation and organizational culture. 복막 투석 환자에서 시행한 탈장 수술의 결과

        정준우(Jun Woo Jung),유승범(Seungbum Ryoo),최은경(Eun Kyung Choe),박규주(Kyu Joo Park) 대한외과학회 2009 Annals of Surgical Treatment and Research(ASRT) Vol.77 No.5

Purpose: The incidence of hernia is estimated to be 3~5% in the general population. In patients on continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis (CAPD), the incidence of hernia is 6~25% and immediate surgical treatment is critical to maintain CAPD. This study was performed to identify clinical characteristics of hernias in CAPD patients and evaluate the surgical results. Methods: We retrospectively analyzed 13 prospectively registered patients (male : female=12:1) on CAPD treated with hernia between March 1998 and June 2008 at the Seoul National University Hospital by one surgeon. Perioperatively, patients underwent intermittent hemodialysis via internal jugular catheter indwelled just before the operation. Peritoneal dialysis was resumed between 2 weeks and 2 months after operation. Results: Mean age was 46.6 years (range: 19~71 years). Fifteen hernias developed in 13 patients, of which, 10 (67%) were inguinal and 5 (33%), umbilical. Mean duration from CAPD start to onset of hernia was 31.4 months (range: 0~129 months). All inguinal hernia patients received standard McVay operation, 3 patients with umbilical hernia were repaired with primary herniorrhaphy and 1 patient with large fascial defect needed mesh implant. During mean follow-up periods of 31 months, recurrence was detected in 1 patient in umbilical hernia group. The only complication related to operation was wound hematoma in one patient. Two patients were converted to hemodialysis after operation because of low compliance to peritoneal dialysis in one patient and suspected catheter-related infection in the other. Conclusion: Our results indicate that hernia repair can be safely performed with acceptable outcomes in patients on CAPD.

2010 Annals of Surgical Treatment and Research(ASRT) Vol.78 No.1

Purpose: We performed this study to share experiences in the management of obturator hernia, which is a very rare disease among elderly women, because rarity of this disease will not approve an expert institute or surgeon and because the aging society, Korea, can increase the incidence. Methods: Patient characteristics, clinical manifestations and treatment results were retrospectively collected from the 12 obturator hernia patients since 2000 in the three hospitals of the authors. Twenty-one obturator hernia cases reported in the Korean literatures were reviewed. In addition, we analyzed clinical features and treatment results of the total 33 patients, collectively. Results: Most of the patients were elderly women except one young, poorly nourished, male patient with pulmonary tuberculosis. Their mean age was 79.6 years. Sixty-four percent (21/33) of the patients had preoperative morbidity. Symptoms from the compression of the obturator nerve, which is an important clue to the diagnosis, were observed in 67% (22/33). Interestingly, spontaneous or suspicious-spontaneous reductions were reported in 7 (21%) patients. Abdominal CT scan was the major tool for diagnosis. Abdominal approach alone could successfully manage most cases, though 84% (27/32) needed anastomosis of the bowel. Operative mortality was 2 of the 32 cases but morbidity was 44% of the 32 patients and the mean hospital period after operation was 21 days. Conclusion: Management of patients with obturator hernia connotes high morbidity and mortality. Sharing the experience of management, prompt diagnosis and surgical management and proper peri-operative care as well as appropriate managing the families is essential for improved results.

      • Development of the Korean Version of the Gastrointestinal Quality of Life Index Questionnaire

        ( In Jun Yang ),( Heung-kwon Oh ),( Jeehye Lee ),( Jung Wook Suh ),( Hong-min Ahn ),( Hyeonjeong Park ),( Hyun Hee Sim ),( Yong Beom Cho ),( In Kyu Lee ),( Seungbum Ryoo ),( Dong-won Lee ),( Duck-woo 한국정맥경장영양학회 2022 한국정맥경장영양학회지 Vol.14 No.1

Purpose: To establish a standardized quality of life measurement that allows global cross-study comparisons, we translated the Gastrointestinal Quality of Life Index (GIQLI) into Korean and linguistically validated the Korean version of the GIQLI (K-GIQLI) in patients who underwent colorectal surgery. Materials and Methods: A cross-cultural adaptation of the original GIQLI was created based on the established guidelines. Based on participation in a cognitive interview, 20 patients with colorectal cancer were enrolled in the study. To ensure that the Korean version of the questionnaire was understood as intended, the time needed to complete the questionnaire was measured, and three additional items related to comprehension were added. Results: From May to July 2021, two translators, whose native language was Korean translated the GIQLI items into Korean, and a native English editor who had no knowledge of the original questionnaire translated the items back into English. In the cognitive interview, the median age of the patients was 61.8 (range: 44~82) years, and the median time required to complete the questionnaire was 6.5 (range: 5~10) min. For the language and cultural adaptation process, the participants’ comprehension of the questionnaire was measured on a scale of 1~5, with a mean score of 4 (range: 3~4). Conclusion: The K-GIQLI was developed and did not exhibit a significant difference from the original English version in terms of social, linguistic, and cultural differences between the Western world and Republic of Korea.
