Molecular Dynamics-Based Tension Simulation of Plastic Deformation of 2D Nanotwinned Copper Under Uniaxial Stress Conditions: Evolution of Dislocations and Secondary Twinning

        Yuming Qi,Tengwu He,Miaolin Feng 대한금속·재료학회 2022 METALS AND MATERIALS International Vol.28 No.7

Adding nanotwins to a metal could be a way to effectively improve its strength without suppressing its tensile ductility, whichsuggests that their unique nanostructure may alter microstructure evolution and deformation mechanisms. In this work, weperform a molecular dynamics-based tension simulation of two-dimension (2D) polycrystalline copper (Cu) with embeddednanotwins under uniaxial stress conditions. The results of MD-simulation reveal that the spacing of the twin boundarieshad a significant effect on the mechanical properties of nanotwinned materials. Specifically, an irregular relationship isfound between the twin boundary spacing ( DT ) and the strength of the material. It exhibits that the peak stress reached amaximum at DT = 12.5 nm and decreased thereafter with increasing average DT . However, flow stress reaches a maximumat a critical value of DT = 7 nm. According to the analysis of microstructure evolution, the presence of nanotwins hinder themotion of partial dislocations and stacking faults, and the stress-concentrated region leads to the transition from coherenttwin boundaries to incoherency. The stress-concentrated region locates in the step of incoherent would release the intrinsicstacking faults responsible for the formation of hierarchical contraction nanotwins stacking faults which efficiently improvesthe strength of Cu. In addition, as the tension proceeds, some samples begin to display the secondary twinning. This workwill be helpful for further investigation the nucleation and evolution of 2D nanotwinned metals and for formulating effectivestrength criteria for 2D nanotwinned metals.

      • Transformational Leadership, Psychological Capital and Front-line Sales Staffs’ Service Quality : Psychological Capital as a Mediator

        Qi-chao He,Qiao An,Pu-xin Lin 보안공학연구지원센터 2016 International Journal of u- and e- Service, Scienc Vol.9 No.7

Confronting diverse working pressure during office time, front-line sales staffs’ service quality will be threatened, which can affect customers’ satisfaction and loyalty degree, then influence market share and competitive edge of the company further. Thus, this paper focuses on the front-line sales staffs and aims at identifying the influence mechanism of transformational leadership on their service quality and the role of psychological capital among the triadic relationship. The result of hierarchy regression analysis about 250 sample data showed that both transformational leadership and psychological capital had significantly positive effect on front-line sales staffs’ service quality, while psychological capital acted as mediator between transformational leadership and front-line sales staffs’ service quality. Organizational management is advised to adopt transformational leadership and promote the employees’ level of psychological capital so as to improve the service quality of front-line sales staffs and the entire company.

      • Genetic Variation in PDCD6 and Susceptibility to Lung Cancer

He, Yan-Qi,Zhou, Bin,Shi, Shao-Qing,Zhang, Lin,Li, Wei-Min Asian Pacific Journal of Cancer Prevention 2012 Asian Pacific journal of cancer prevention Vol.13 No.9

Lung cancer is the most common type of cancer and one of the leading causes of death in the world. Genetic factors play an important role in its development. PDCD6, the encoding gene for programmed cell death protein 6, may function as a tumor suppressor gene. Non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) contributes about 80% to newly histologically diagnosed lung cancer patients. To explore the relationship between PDCD6 and NSCLC, we examined two single nucleotide polymorphisms(rs3756712 G/T andrs4957014 G/T, both in the intron region) of the PDCD6gene.A hospital-based case-control study was carried out including 302 unrelated NSCLC patients and 306 healthy unrelated subjects. Significantly increased NSCLC risk was found to be associated with the T allele of rs4957014 (P=0.027, OR=0.760, 95%CI=0.596-0.970). The genotype and allele frequencies of rs3756712 did not shown any significant difference between NSCLC group and controls (P=0.327, OR=0.879, 95%CI=0.679-1.137). In conclusion, we firstly demonstrated the association between the PDCD6 gene and risk of NSCLC in a Chinese Han population.

      • Prospective UNCITRAL Technical Assistance for Asian Countries in International Arbitration

( Qi Sheng He ),( Da Yong Zhou ) 고려대학교 법학연구원 2011 The Asian Business Lawyer Vol.7 No.-

The United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) is a core legal body established by the United Nations, which takes the mandate to harmonize the international and regional trade law, and to create an environmentfacilitating international trade and commercial transactions. In the field of international commercial arbitration, UNCITRAL conducts cooperation programs and provides technical assistance to facilitate its mission. In Asia, facing a rapid regional economic boost but divergent legal systems, improving the professional quality and credibility of regional arbitral institutes shall meet the continual increased regional need for commercial arbitrations and guarantee the accurate application of international law. This article introduces the function of UNCITRAL, gives a brief analysis of the demand for improving international commercial arbitration in Asia, and suggests that UNCITRAL as an appropriateorganization may prospectively contribute to promote the competences of regional arbitral institutes and arbitral participants by means of providing active technical assistance and cooperative projects. Two tentative proposals are put forward in this article from a practical perspective.

      • A Global Online Dispute Resolution System: Is China Ready to Join?

( Qi Sheng He ),( Ji Ping Song ) 고려대학교 법학연구원 2011 The Asian Business Lawyer Vol.7 No.-

In recent years, Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) is in a period of active development and change. United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) and other international organizations are actively promoting the establishment of a global ODR system. Facing small value, large volume claims, traditional dispute resolution system in China also can not resolve effectively these disputes arising out of electronic commerce. With an increasing demand of ODR and a favorable legal circumstance for it, ODR practice in China has developed rapidly during the past several years. It can be mainly represented by three categories: Domain Name Dispute Resolution Center of China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC), China Online Dispute Resolution Center and Alipay Internal Complaint Mechanism. As for the prospects of China working with UNCITRAL on a Global ODR System, on the one hand, China`s participation in UNCITRAL work on a global ODR system can facilitate its ODR development; on the other hand, China can play an active role in establishing a global ODR system.

Ultrasonography in Acupuncture—Uses in Education and Research

Mabel Qi He Leow,Shu Li Cui,Mohammad Taufik Bin Mohamed Shah,Taige Cao,Shian Chao Tay,Peter Kay Chai Tay,Chin Chin Ooi 사단법인약침학회 2017 Journal of Acupuncture & Meridian Studies Vol.10 No.3

This study aims to explore the potential use of ultrasound in locating the second posterior sacral foramen acupuncture point, quantifying depth of insertion and describing surrounding anatomical structures. We performed acupuncture needle insertion on a study team member. There were four steps in our experiment. First, the acupuncturist located the acupuncture point by palpation. Second, we used an ultrasound machine to visualize the structures surrounding the location of the acupuncture point and measure the depth required for needle insertion. Third, the acupuncturist inserted the acupuncture needle into the acupuncture point at an angle of 30°. Fourth, we performed another ultrasound scan to ensure that the needle was in the desired location. Results suggested that ultrasound could be used to locate the acupuncture point and estimate the depth of needle insertion. The needle was inserted to a depth of 4.0 cm to reach the surface of the sacral foramen. Based on Pythagoras theorem, taking a needle insertion angle of 30° and a needle insertion depth of 4.0 cm, the estimated perpendicular depth is 1.8 cm. An ultrasound scan corroborated the depth of 1.85 cm. The use of an ultrasound-guided technique for needle insertion in acupuncture practice could help standardize the treatment. Clinicians and students would be able to visualize and measure the depth of the sacral foramen acupuncture point, to guide the depth of needle insertion. This methodological guide could also be used to create a standard treatment protocol for research. A similar mathematical guide could also be created for other acupuncture points in future.

Factors for Endoscopic Submucosal Dissection in Early Colorectal Neoplasms: A Single Center Clinical Experience in China

        Yu-Qi He,Xin Wang,Lang Yang,Jian Zhang,Qian Kang,Shan Tang,Peng Jin,Jian-Qiu Sheng,Ai-Qin Li 대한소화기내시경학회 2015 Clinical Endoscopy Vol.48 No.5

Background/Aims: Early colorectal (CR) neoplasm can be cured by endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD), but clinical experience and factors associated with complications from ESD for CR neoplasms in China have not been reported . Methods: Seventy-eight cases of early CR neoplasm treated with endoscopic resection performed between December 2012 and December 2013 at Beijing Military General Hospital were included. Factors associated with ESD complications and procedure times were evaluated. Results: The en bloc resection rate was 88.5% (69/78), tumor size was 32.1±10.7 mm, and procedure time was 71.8±49.5 minutes. The major complication was perforation, which occurred in 8.97% of the ESD procedures. Multivariate logistic regression analysis indicated that only tumor size (p=0.022) was associated with ESD perforation. Tumor size (p<0.001) and the non-lifting sign (p=0.017) were independent factors for procedure time, and procedure time (p=0.016) was a key factor for en bloc resection. After a median 10 months (range, 4 to 16) of follow-up, no patients had local recurrence. Conclusions: This study indicated that ESD is an applicable method for large early CR neoplasm in the colon and rectum. Tumor size and the non-lifting sign might be considerable factors for increased complication rate and procedural time of ESD.

      • Roles of E-Cadherin (CDH1) Genetic Variations in Cancer Risk: a Meta-analysis

        Deng, Qi-Wen,He, Bang-Shun,Pan, Yu-Qin,Sun, Hui-Ling,Xu, Ye-Qiong,Gao, Tian-Yi,Li, Rui,Song, Guo-Qi,Wang, Shu-Kui Asian Pacific Journal of Cancer Prevention 2014 Asian Pacific journal of cancer prevention Vol.15 No.8

E-Cadherin (CDH1) genetic variations may be involved in invasion and metastasis of various cancers by altering gene transcriptional activity of epithelial cells. However, published studies on the association of CDH1 gene polymorphisms and cancer risk remain contradictory, owing to differences in living habits and genetic backgrounds. To derive a more better and comprehensive conclusion, the present meta-analysis was performed including 57 eligible studies of the association between polymorphisms of CDH1 gene promoter -160 C>A, -347 G>GA and 3'-UTR +54 C>T and cancer risk. Results showed that these three polymorphisms of CDH1 were significantly associated with cancer risk. For -160 C>A polymorphism, -160A allele carriers (CA and CA+AA) had an increased risk of cancer compared with the homozygotes (CC), and the similar result was discovered for the -160A allele in the overall analyses. In the subgroup analyses, obvious elevated risk was found with -160A allele carriers (AA, CA, CA+AA and A allele) for prostate cancer, while a decreased colorectal cancer risk was shown with the AA genotype. For the -347 G>GA polymorphism, the GAGA genotype was associated with increased cancer risk in the overall analysis with homozygous and recessive models. In addition, results of subgroup analysis indicated that the elevated risks were observed in colorectal cancer and Asian descendants. For +54 C>T polymorphism, a decreased risk of cancer was found in heterozygous, dominant and allele models. Moreover, +54T allele carriers (CT, CT+TT genotype and T allele) showed a potential protective factor in gastric cancer and Asian descendants.

Estradiol regulates miR-135b and mismatch repair gene expressions via estrogen receptor-β in colorectal cells

        Yu-qi He,Jian-qiu Sheng,Xian-long Ling,Lei Fu,Peng Jin,Lawrence Yen,Jianyu Rao 생화학분자생물학회 2012 Experimental and molecular medicine Vol.44 No.12

Estrogen has anti-colorectal cancer effects which are thought to be mediated by mismatch repair gene (MMR) activity. Estrogen receptor (ER) expression is associated with microRNA (miRNA) expression in ER-positive tumors. However, studies of direct link between estrogen (especially estradiol E2), miRNA expression, and MMR in colorectal cancer (CRC) have not been done. In this study, we first evaluated the effects of estradiol (E2) and its antagonist ICI182,780 on the expression of miRNAs (miR-31, miR-155 and miR-135b) using COLO205, SW480 and MCF-7 cell lines, followed by examining the association of tissue miRNA expression and serum E2 levels using samples collected from 18 colorectal cancer patients. E2inhibited the expressions of miRNAs in COLO205 cells, which could be reversed by E2 antagonist ICI 182.780. The expression of miR-135b was inversely correlated with serum E2 level and ER-β mRNA expression in CRC patients’ cancer tissues. There were significant correlations between serum E2 level and expression of ER-β, miR-135b, and MMR in colon cancer tissue. This study suggests that the effects of estrogen on MMR function may be related to regulating miRNA expression via ER-β, which may be the basis for the anti-cancer effect in colorectal cells.
