Studies on Plant Parasitic Nematodes Associated with Banana in Sindh, Pakistan
M. A. Pathan,Muzaffar A,Talpur, M. M. Jiskani,K. H. Wagan 한국응용곤충학회 2004 Journal of Asia-Pacific Entomology Vol.7 No.2
A survey of banana was conducted to study the occurrence and distribution of plant parasitic nematodes. The samples of soil and banana plants showing retarded growth were collected from three fields of Nasimabad (Khisano Mori), Tando Allah Yar and Mirpurkhas. The nematodes isolated from the roots and soil samples showed the presence of seven genera of plant parasitic nematodes, Hoplolaimus columbus, Belonolaimus longicaudatus, Helicotylenchus dihystera, Meloidogyne incognita, Xiphinema brevicolle, Longidorus africanus and Trichodorus christiei. The maximum population densities (M. P. D %) and maximum frequency occurrence (M. F. O %) and prominence values (P. V %) were calculated for each nematode genus. The M. P. D %, M. F. O % and P. V % of H. columbus (lance nematode), B. longicaudatus (sting nematode), M. incognita (root- knot nematode) and Heli. dihystera (spiral nematode) were higher than those of other nematodes. The occurrence of these nematodes in relatively high population suggests their potential role in reducing banana production.

Special Linear Group and Modified Laguerre Functions
M.A.Pathan ...et al KYUNGPOOK UNIVERSITY 2000 Kyungpook mathematical journal Vol.46 No.1
The aimof the present paper is to establish a fundamental relationship between special linear group SL(2) and modified Laguerre functions. The details of methods and ideas leading to generating relations involving modified Laguerre and hypergeometric functions are based on the approach of Miller.
ON MATRIX POLYNOMIALS ASSOCIATED WITH HUMBERT POLYNOMIALS
M.A. Pathan,Maged G. Bin-Saad,Fadhl Al-Sarahi 한국수학교육학회 2014 純粹 및 應用數學 Vol.21 No.3
The principal object of this paper is to study a class of matrix poly-nomials associated with Humbert polynomials. These polynomials generalize thewell known class of Gegenbauer, Legendre, Pincherl, Horadam, Horadam-Pethe andKinney polynomials. We shall give some basic relations involving the Humbertmatrix polynomials and then take up several generating functions, hypergeometricrepresentations and expansions in series of matrix polynomials.
A new theorem on multidimensional generating relations and its applications
H. M. Srivastava,,M. G. Bin-Saad,M. A. Pathan 장전수학회 2007 Proceedings of the Jangjeon mathematical society Vol.10 No.1
The authors prove a general theorem on multidimensional generating relations. As applications of this general theorem, a number of (known or new) generating functions of several variables are deduced. Connections of the various generating functions, which are presented in this paper, with several known results are also considered.
A NEW CLASS OF GENERALIZED APOSTOL-TYPE FROBENIUS-EULER-HERMITE POLYNOMIALS
( M. A. Pathan ),( Waseem A. Khan ) 호남수학회 2020 호남수학학술지 Vol.42 No.3
In this paper, we introduce a new class of general-ized Apostol-type Frobenius-Euler-Hermite polynomials and derive some explicit and implicit summation formulae and symmetric iden- tities by using different analytical means and applying generating functions. These results extend some known summations and iden-tities of generalized Frobenius-Euler type polynomials and Hermite-based Apostol-Euler and Apostol-Genocchi polynomials studied by Pathan and Khan, Kurt and Simsek.
Representations of a Lie Group G(0, 1) and Modified Laguerre Polynomials
Subuhi Khan,M. A. Pathan 경북대학교 자연과학대학 수학과 2004 Kyungpook mathematical journal Vol.44 No.1
In this paper we follow the approach of Miller ([4]) and obtain generating relations of modied Laguerre polynomials by extending the realizations of"!; and #!;to multiplier representations of a Lie group G(0;1). Many results of Miller, McBride and Srivastava and Manocha follow as special cases of our results. Generating relations of modied Laguerre polynomials are of interest due to its connections and reductions to a number of other special functions which are well known.
OPERATIONAL IDENTITIES FOR HERMITE-PSEUDO LAGUERRE TYPE MATRIX POLYNOMIALS AND THEIR APPLICATIONS
Bin-Saad, Maged G.,Pathan, M.A. The Honam Mathematical Society 2019 호남수학학술지 Vol.41 No.1
In this work, it is shown that the combination of operational techniques and the use of the principle of quasi-monomiality can be a very useful tool for a more general insight into the theory of matrix polynomials and for their extension. We explore the formal properties of the operational rules to derive a number of properties of certain class of matrix polynomials and discuss the operational links with various known matrix polynomials.
