Towards Gender-Equal Cyberspace : Cyber Rights, Women's Rights and Human Rights
Lee, Kyungsook Asian pacific women's information network center 2002 APWIN Vol.4 No.-
Cyberspace has been considered as the place where a genuine equality can be achieved; women can work as efficiently as men without being intimidated by the imposed preconception upon them. Wefind very few women engaged in the management or high position board membership ofa computer industry. The women's job status in computer-related business is still lower than that ofmen in general due to the deterrent factors preventing the advancement of women's job status in computer related fields. If women want to get the grip of the current flow of the information age, it is critical that women get involved in all aspects of the computing industry. Women have experienced online sexual harassment on the Internet. An implementation of a long-term protection measure for all cyberspace users is needed in order to use that vast opportunities the cyberspace has to offer. Women's rights are closely related to human rights. Cyberspace rights are also related to women's rights. Therefore, women should still be able to exercise their basic rights in the freedom ofexpression and actions in cyberspace.

Lee, Kyungsook Asian pacific women's information network center 2006 APWIN Vol.8 No.-
The International Movement for Women's rights has been considerably strengthened and unified due to ICT. As a means of connecting governments and civil organizations throughout the world, the cyber movement has enhanced the flow of information. Through cyber campaigns and cyber education, cyber space is now the fundamental channel of communication for this movement. Additionally, the cyber movement has produced synergy effects in resolving conflicts between realities and virtual spaces. Observing the cyber movements development and the workable schemes behind its implementation as well as evaluating the present state of women's achievement will allow for a powerful vision of expanding women's movement and enhancing the movements communication capacity.
Semiotic Analysis of Peirce on Expression and Meaning of Dancesport
( Kyungsook Lee ) 한국체육학회 2016 국제스포츠과학 학술대회 Vol.2016 No.1
The purpose of this study is to interpret the construction of expression and meaning and action of dancesport through C. S. Peirce``s trichotimic semiotics. That is, this study comprehends semiotic meaning of dancesport based on Peirce``s semiotics, and expand its meaning with semiotics. Theoretical background is arranged with the approach to Peirce``s semiotics. First, basis for semiotic approach is made by understanding the construction and types of semiotic Peirce claimed. Second, the necessity of approach on both sides is considered based on theoretical basis of Peirce``s semiotics. Previous and current studies and literatures are studied to lay the groundwork of this study. Peirce has left massive material on semiotics in his life, and it is still being published in the United States. Translated and published works of Peirce will be studied for this study. According to authentic aesthetics, art is creative, pursues beauty, appeal to emotion, and induces self-reflection. That is, art has viewed reality through unique form, has been generalized and democratized, and has been used with semiotic characteristics about artworks. Such characteristics are distinct especially in sport and art, it is effective in passing on the concept of artworks clearly, and communicating with the audience. Dancesport also joins the line. Dancesport reflects various effects in aesthetical phenomena of current social and cultural awareness, and materializes message it wants to pass on. Then what is the symbol represented in dancesport? And what is the immanent meaning of it? Eventually, the focus of this study is on how to bring out demonstration of Peirce``s semiotics theories in dancesport. For example, if we start the study on dancesport from the truth on artistic phenomena, the starting point adheres to senses and emotions, and such effect exhibits strong direct force that has not pass through awareness activity. After all, it is more than labelling each items (total of 10 items) of dancesport, and in this context, we are to discuss the aesthetical meaning and problems of dancesport. We tried to explain and analyze semiotic expression and meaning of dancesport through Peirce``s semiotics. The following result has been obtained by looking at Peirce``s trichotimic theories. It holds grave meaning in that it analyzes body image of dancers (line, costume, facialexpression, movements, qualitative characteristics, mood of each event) through a hold (basic position) be-tween male and female partners, and figures (one whole step) in each event.
