In order to judge that whether the vehicles in different images which are captured by surveillance cameras represent the same vehicle or not, we proposed a novel vehicle face recognition algorithm based on improved Nonnegative Matrix Factorization (NMF), different from traditional vehicle recognition algorithms, there are fewer effective features in vehicle face image than in whole vehicle image in general, which brings certain difficulty to recognition. The innovations mainly include the following two aspects: 1) we proposed a novel idea that the vehicle type can be determined by a few key regions of the vehicle face such as logo, grille and so on; 2) Through adding weight, sparseness and classification property constraints to the NMF model, we can acquire the effective feature bases that represent the key regions of vehicle face image. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm not only achieve a high correct recognition rate, but also has a strong robustness to some non-cooperative factors such as illumination variation.
Genomic analysis of Sheldrake origin goose hemorrhagic polyomavirus, China

Goose hemorrhagic polyomavirus (GHPV) is not a naturally occurring infection in geese in China; however, GHPV infection has been identified in Pekin ducks, a domestic duck species. Herein, we investigated the prevalence of GHPV in five domestic duck species (Liancheng white ducks, Putian black ducks, Shan Sheldrake, Shaoxing duck, and Jinyun Sheldrake) in China. We determined that the Jinyun Sheldrake duck species could be infected by GHPV with no clinical signs, whereas no infection was identified in the other four duck species. We sequenced the complete genome of the Jinyun Sheldrake origin GHPV. Genomic data comparison suggested that GHPVs share a conserved genomic structure, regardless of the host (duck or geese) or region (Asia or Europe). Jinyun Sheldrake origin GHPV genomic characterization and epidemiological studies will increase our understanding of potential heterologous reservoirs of GHPV.
An Interval Algebra-based Modeling and Routing Method in Bus Delay Tolerant Network

In bus delay-tolerant networks, the route of bus is determinate but its arrival time is indeterminate. However, most conventional approaches predict future contact without considering its uncertainty, which makes a limitation on routing performance. A novel approach is proposed by employing interval algebra to characterize the contact`s uncertainty and time-varying nature. The contact is predicted by using the Bayesian estimation to achieve a better routing performance. Simulation results show that this approach achieves a good balance between delivery latency and delivery ratio.
