        The Modified Electrode by PEDOP with MWCNTs-Palladium Nanoparticles for the Determination of hydroquinone and Catechol

        Poly-ethylenedioxypyrrole (PEDOP) coated thiolated multiwall carbon nanotubes palladium nanoparticles (MWCNTs-Pd) modified glassy carbon electrode (GCE) [PEDOP/MWCNTs-Pd/GCE] for the determination of hydroquinone (HQ) and it’s isomer catechol (CA) were synthesized and compared with bare GCE and thiolated multiwall carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs-SH/GCE). The modification could be made by simple processes on a GCE with MWCNTs-Pd covered by PEDOP in a 0.05 M tetrabutylammonium perchlorate (TBAP)/MeCN solution system. A well-defined peak potential evaluation of the oxidation of hydroquinone to quinone at 0.05 V (vs. Ag/AgCl), and electrochemical reduction back to hydroquinone were found by cyclic voltammetry (CV) in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) at pH 7.4. Peak current values increased linearly with increasing hydroquinone contents. The peak separation between the anodic and cathodic peaks at the PEDOP/MWCNTs-Pd/GCE was ${\Delta}Ep$ = 40 mV for HQ and ${\Delta}Ep$ = 70 mV for CA, resulting in a higher electron transfer rate. Moreover, good reproducibility, excellent storage stability, a wide linear range (0.1 ${\mu}M$ - 5 mM for HQ and 0.01 ${\mu}M$ - 6 mM for CA), and low detection limits ($2.9{\times}10^{-8}$ M for HQ and $2.6{\times}10^{-8}$ M for CA; S/N = 3) were determined using differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) and amperometric responses; this makes it a promising candidate as a sensor for determination of HQ and CA.

        PVP-assisted Synthesis of TiO₂ Nanospheres and their Application to the Preparation of Superhydrophobic Surfaces

        Enhancement of the surface hydrophobicity of polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) thin films deposited on substrates covered with titanium dioxide (TiO₂) nanospheres was studied. First, a low-temperature solution-phase method using polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) as a surface capping agent and a water/dimethylformamide (DMF) mixture as the reaction medium was used to synthesize monodisperse TiO₂ nanospheres. It was possible to easily control hydrolysis rate of the Ti-precursors and the size of the synthesized nanospheres by varying the amount of PVP and the volume ratio of the solvent mixture. Spray coating of the synthesized TiO₂ nanospheres under the PDMS film increased the water contact angle of the film surface to 150.3°. This simple treatment can modify the surface morphology at a nanometer scale without any long or complicated nanoprocess; hence, the surface enters the superhydrophobic Cassie-Baxter regime.

      • The Effect of Audit Report on Share Returns: Evidence from Mongolian Stock Exchange

        본 연구는 몽골증권거래소에서 거래되는 기업의 감사의견이 해당 기업의 주가수익률에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지를 실증 분석한 것이다. 본 연구는 적정 감사의견과 주식회사의 2012년과 2013년 데이터를 사용하여 MacKinlay (1997) 시장모델을 이용하여 주식수익률에 감사의견의 효과를 측정하였다. 감사의견이 발표된 날을 사건일로 하여 전후 10일 동안 초과수익의 변화를 분석한 결과 가설은 기각되었다. 본 논문은 몽골의 주식시장에 대한 감사의견의 정보효과가 검증되지 않았다. 그 결과 감사에 대한 신뢰가 투자자들에게는 미미하다는 것이 입증되었다. 감사의견의 다른 유형의 부족함 때문에 적정 감사의견에 대한 표본은 제한적임에 한계점이 있다. This paper investigates the effect of auditor’s opinion in the share prices (share return) at Mongolian Stock Exchange. The study used 2012 and 2013 data from stock companies with unqualified auditor opinions. MacKinlay's (1997) market model applied in measurements of the effect of auditor’s opinion to the share returns. Changes in stock price and stock returns were collected and analyzed from 10 workdays before and after audit report announced. As the result of calculations and statistical analysis, the raised hypothesis was rejected. The paper concludes that no content from an audit report on stock market of Mongolia. The result proves that confidence in audit is weak for investors. It is limitation of our sample for only unqualified opinions because of insufficient data of other types of audit opinions.

      • Present Performance Measurement Practice of Mongolian Companies

        몽골국가 전체 범위의 연구의 결과로서 몽골기업들의 혁신성과와 생산력 발달, 사업의 효율적인 목표를 이루고자 하는가에 대해 알아보고자 하였다. 몽골기업들의 현재상황과 전반적인 사업 활동에 대해 평가한 결과 몽골 기업들이 사내 평가를 자체적으로 행하지 않는다는 것이 드러났다. 즉, 활동 방향을 제시하고 과거의 사업 내용을 평가할 수 있는 현재의 기준을 몽골 사업기관의 대부분이 현존하는 기준을 통해 자체평과를 행하지 않고 있으며 그 결과 회사의 방향 및 과거 사업 활동 등에 대해 평가하고 발전할 수 있는 능력이 향상되지 못하고 있다는 점이다. 그러므로 몽골 기업들이 업무 수행 평가의 중요성을 강조 하고자 할 때는 먼저 타국기업들이 사용하는 사업 수행기준을 이용해야 한다. 타국 사업기관들이 많이 사용하고 있는 Malcolm Baldrige Model, The EFQM Excellence Model, Sink and Tuttle Model, Balanced Scorecard, Performance pyramid, Performance Prism 등에 대해 철저히 조사, 분석해야 하며, 그 후에 회사 특징 및 비전과 목표에 적합한 방식을 택하고 이용해야 한다. 앞으로는 기업들이 업무 수행에 나타낼 표준기준에 대해 분석하고 평가해야 할 것이며, 업무 수행 결과에 대한 비교 방식을 공통 표준으로 설정해야 할 것이다. 또한, 기업들 모두가 공통방식을 표준 모델로 삼아 사용하게 될 경우에는 각자 기업의 업무 수행 능력 및 기업의 특징에 적합한 시스템을 이용하고, 과거의 업무 수행 내역을 표준 모델을 통해 평가 하는 등의 작업을 거쳐 시스템으로 발전시켜 나가면 될 것이다. The countrywide research on the overall assessment of current innovation, productivity and profitability of companies and the study of existing individual performance measurement system for business has concluded that business entities have not seen improvements in their performance due to their failures in defining performance indicators and their measurement system. Therefore, it would be appropriate to apply the most convenient and effective model for the performance measurement of business upon the in-depth study of various methods prevalent in global practice including the Malcolm Baldrige model, The European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM) Excellence Model, Sink and Tuttle model, Balanced Scorecard, Performance Pyramid, Performance Prism etc. Moreover, the research on guidelines and methods for individual performance measurement of business entities in Mongolia concludes that they are not compatible with current needs and requirements. Accordingly, it is required to develop common methodology on the analysis and conduct of conclusion of the criteria for business performance measurement. Upon the availability of such common methodology, it will be feasible for companies to individually design and develop its performance measurement system that is in parallel with the feature of operation.
