LA CULTURA ESPANIOLA EN NUESTROS DIAS
Por Ramiro Perez-Maura Duque de Maura 韓國外國語大學校 中南美問題硏究所 1983 중남미연구 Vol.3 No.-

Oligopeptidase B (OpdB) is a serine peptidase widespread among bacteria and protozoa that has emerged as a virulence factor despite its function has not yet been precisely established. By using an OpdB-overexpressing Escherichia coli strain, we found that the overexpressed peptidase makes the bacterial cells specifically less susceptible to several proline-rich antimicrobial peptides known to penetrate into the bacterial cytosol, and that its level of activity directly correlates with the degree of resistance. We established that E. coli OpdB can efficiently hydrolyze in vitro cationic antimicrobial peptides up to 30 residues in length, even though they contained several prolines, shortening them to inactive fragments. Two consecutive basic residues are a preferred cleavage site for the peptidase. In the case of a single basic residue, there is no cleavage if proline residues are present in the P1 and P2 positions. These results also indicate that cytosolic peptidases may cause resistance to antimicrobial peptides that have an intracellular mechanism of action, such as the proline-rich peptides, and may contribute to define the substrate specificity of the E. coli OpdB.

Objectives: This study evaluated the solubility, dimensional alteration, pH, electrical conductivity, and radiopacity of root perforation sealer materials. Materials and Methods: For the pH test, the samples were immersed in distilled water for different periods of time. Then, the samples were retained in plastic recipients, and the electrical conductivity of the solution was measured. The solubility, dimensional alteration, and radiopacity properties were evaluated according to Specification No. 57 of the American National Standards Institute/American Dental Association (ANSI/ ADA). Statistical analyses were carried out using analysis of variance (ANOVA) and Tukey’s test at a significance level of 5%. When the sample distribution was not normal, a nonparametric ANOVA was performed with a Kruskal-Wallis test (α = 0.05). Results: The results showed that white structural Portland cement (PC) had the highest solubility, while mineral trioxide aggregate (MTA)-based cements, ProRoot MTA (Dentsply-Tulsa Dental) and MTA BIO (Ângelus Ind. Prod.), had the lowest values. MTA BIO showed the lowest dimensional alteration values and white PC presented the highest values. No differences among the tested materials were observed in the the pH and electrical conductivity analyses. Only the MTA-based cements met the ANSI/ADA recommendations regarding radiopacity, overcoming the three steps of the aluminum step wedge. Conclusions: On the basis of these results, we concluded that the values of solubility and dimensional alteration of the materials were in accordance with the ANSI/ADA specifications. PCs did not fulfill the ANSI/ADA requirements regarding radiopacity. No differences were observed among the materials with respect to the pH and electrical conductivity analyses.
Customers' View of Agility: The Expectation-confirmation Theory Perspective
Atapattu, Maura,Sedera, Darshana,Ravichandran, T.,Grover, Varun The Korea Society of Management Information System 2016 Asia Pacific Journal of Information Systems Vol.26 No.1
Contemporary organizations strive for customer agility through the deployment of digital technologies on customer-focused operations to build enduring customer relationships, with mobile apps being one of its prominent examples. Drawing on prior agility and ECT literature, this study proposes a model to examine customers' view of a firm's customer agility. Our empirical test of conceptual model from data collected in a field study from 128 customers demonstrated that the conceptual model offers good explanation for customers' view of a firm's customer agility through relationships among customer expectations-customer perceived firm's responsiveness-satisfaction. Data were analyzed using PLS, polynomial modeling, and response surface methodology to examine the relationships between customers' digital interactions with the firm, influence of digitized interactions on customer expectations, customers' evaluation of firm's responsiveness, and subsequent customer satisfaction.

Burnout and Workload Among Health Care Workers: The Moderating Role of Job Control
Igor Portoghese,Maura Galletta,Rosa Cristina Coppola,Gabriele Finco,Marcello Campagna 한국산업안전보건공단 산업안전보건연구원 2014 Safety and health at work Vol.5 No.3
Background: As health care workers face a wide range of psychosocial stressors, they are at a high risk ofdeveloping burnout syndrome, which in turn may affect hospital outcomes such as the quality and safetyof provided care. The purpose of the present study was to investigate the moderating effect of job controlon the relationship between workload and burnout. Methods: A total of 352 hospital workers from five Italian public hospitals completed a self-administeredquestionnaire that was used to measure exhaustion, cynicism, job control, and workload. Data werecollected in 2013. Results: In contrast to previous studies, the results of this study supported the moderation effect of jobcontrol on the relationship between workload and exhaustion. Furthermore, the results found supportfor the sequential link from exhaustion to cynicism. Conclusion: This study showed the importance for hospital managers to carry out management practicesthat promote job control and provide employees with job resources, in order to reduce the burnout risk.

The traumatic removal of the mandibular third molar may promote post chirurgic consequences such as orofacial pain and limited mandibular movements. The aim of this case report is to describe the use of an anterior bite plane and complementary therapies (low level laser therapy and acupuncture) to treat the muscular dysfunction and the painful symptoms. A 33 year-old male patient who had a severe malocclusion and signs and symptoms of temporomandibular dysfunction was submitted to an initial clinical examination: electromyography of the masticatory muscles and IRM of the temporomandibular joint. After treatments, the results showed reduced pain symptoms and an increase of the mandibular movements and adequated electromiographic activities. The authors concluded that the combination therapies may be used as an alternative treatment because it satisfied the functional requirements of the patient and provided an asymptomatic clinical condition.
