Comparisons for the Abnormality of Breathing Pattern, Kinesiophobia and Flexion Relaxation Phenomenon in Patients with Chronic Low Back Pain and Healthy Person during Flexion and Extension of the Trunk

Junggyu Yoon 국제물리치료연구학회 2019 Journal of International Academy of Physical Ther Vol.10 No.2

Background: Most of the previous researches on the abnormality of breathing pattern have focused on the silence of functional movements owing to such abnormality, however, have not been clearly identified the relationship between the abnormal breathing pattern on one hand and kinesiophobia and flexion relaxation phenomenon (FRP) on the other hand. Objective: To compare patients with chronic low back pain (CLBP) and healthy person in the abnormality of breathing pattern, kinesiophobia, and FRP during flexion and extension of the trunk. Design: Case-control study. Methods: The research subjects consisted of a group of 15 healthy adults and another group of 15 patients with CLBP. Capnography was used to measure the endtidal CO2 (EtCO2) and respiratory quotient (RQ). The muscle activity of multifidus and erector spinae of the subjects was measured during flexion and extension of the trunk to identify their FRP. The Nijmegen Questionnaire (NQ) and Tampa Scale of Kinesiophobia (TSK) were utilized to measure their breathing patterns and kinesiophobia, respectively. The Kolmogorov-Smirnov (K-S) test was conducted in order to analyze the normal distribution of the measured data. Their general characteristics were identified by the descriptive statistics and the independent t-test was performed to identify the differences between the two groups in terms of abnormality of breathing pattern, kinesiophobia, and FRP. The level of significance was set at α=.05. Results: The patients with CLBP had significantly less EtCO2 and shorter breathing hold time (BHT) than normal healthy person (p<.05). The patient with CLBP also had significantly greater kinesiophobia than healthy person (p<.05), and had less FRP than the healthy person (p<.01). Conclusions: These results suggest that the CLBP had greater abnormality of breathing pattern and kinesiophobia with less FRP than healthy person.

The Effect of Frequency of Summary Feedback on the Proprioception in Knee Extension of Healthy Subjects

        Junggyu Yoon 대한스포츠물리치료학회 2020 정형스포츠물리치료학회지 Vol.16 No.2

Purpose: This study investigated the effect of the frequency of summary feedback on proprioception during knee extension in healthy subjects. Methods: Forty-eight young adults volunteered to participate and were randomly assigned to one of four groups (1*summary, 5*summary, 10*summary, and control). The power and velocity errors for proprioception in knee extension were measured using a PRIMUS RS system (BTE Tech., Hanover, USA). Multivariate analysis of variance (MANOVA) was used to determine the effect of the frequency of summary feedback on proprioception in knee extension of healthy participants. Scheffe post hoc tests were applied, and the level of significance was set at α=0.05. Results: In the acquisition phase to practice the effect, power, and velocity error scores in all summary groups were significantly lower than those in the control group (p<0.05) but did not differ significantly between the summary groups (p>0.05). In the retention phase to assess the learning effect, the power and velocity error scores in all summary groups were also significantly lower than those in the control group (p <0.05), and the score in the 5*summary group was significantly lower than those in the other summary groups (p<0.05). Conclusion: 5*summary feedback was effective for motor learning while reducing the error of proprioception.

The oxidation effect of a Mo back contact on Cu(In,Ga)(Se,S) 2 thin-film solar modules

        Nam, Junggyu,Kang, Yoonmook,Kim, Dongseop,Baek, Dohyun,Lee, Dongho,Yang, JungYup Elsevier 2016 Solar energy materials and solar cells Vol.144 No.-

Abstract

We investigated the surface properties of a Mo back contact for large-area thin-film solar modules with high efficiency and good adhesion between Mo and the absorber layer. It was determined that the appropriate surface properties of Mo would improve the efficiency from 10% to above 15.0±0.21% and narrow the efficiency distribution in large-area modules. The Mo back contact was annealed at various temperatures between room temperature and 230°C in air to control the amount of sodium diffusing from the soda-lime glass substrate during selenization and sulfurization, and to improve the uniformity of the unit cell. Before the heat treatment, the amount of sodium in the patterned area of the unit cell was more than 10 times of that in the central area of the cell. The patterned region with higher Na content had smaller grains than those in the central area with less Na, resulting in many peel-offs and shunting paths. The difference in sodium content was reduced after heat treatment. The optimized surface oxide of the Mo back contact had a thickness of around 3–5nm and consisted of the MoO3 phase. The grain boundary of Mo columnar structure near the surface consisted of the oxide layer.

Highlights

The surface oxide layer (under 5nm) of Mo back contact improved the efficiency of large modules.

The reason of the peel-off is the stress of thin film after selenization/sulfurization due to the grain size of CIGSS.

Shunt paths were reduced after the oxidation of Mo back contact.

The oxidation of Mo back contact reduced the difference between pattern region and the middle of unit cell.

The heat treatment of Mo back contact was conducted in the range from room temperature to 230°C.

The results of this study were that: (a) general class teachers indicated with statistically differences to the CPK based on teaching experience factor. The general class teachers recognized that the instruction structure knowledge and teaching contents knowledge were most important in the CPK; (b) the special class teachers had statistically differences in the CPK according to gender and master degree background variables, however the instruction adapt knowledge and instruction structure knowledge in CPK were most important factors rather than the other factors of CPK; and (c) the general class teachers’ and special class teachers’ recognition toward the CPK recognized differently. The special class teachers had more positive to CPK rather than those of the general class teachers. This study suggested that how to support the general class teachers to increase the attitudes to CPK for all students.

Vol.2010 No.11

Today’s automotive companies are working communization for parts to shorten the development cycle and cost competitiveness as a policy. Even if parts are communized, high-performance tires and suspension tuning are required to enhance R&H performance and trim height is set up lowering for styling. The service loads transmitted to suspension and body structure are related to suspension types, tire characteristics and wheel travel values. Especially, wheel travel values are the important factor for vertical loads. Since the loads to WFT on the other hand aren’t changed considerably according to wheel travel values. To investigate the load performance for vehicles which have different wheel travel values, this paper presents the modeling methods of nonlinear components for building analytical vehicle models which are simulated on pothole roads and rough random roads such as Belgian block and estimates peak load values on pothole roads and pseudo damage levels on Belgian block road.
