The low cycle fatigue (LCF) properties of Alloy 617 weld joints (WJ) were investigated in the expected operating conditions. The fully reversed LCF tests in a constant strain ratio (R=-1) were carried out in four different total strain controlled and were compared for Alloy 617/Alloy 617 weld joints (WJ) by a gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) process in air at room temperature and 800oC. The cyclic stress-strain relationship was identified. The fatigue life was decreased when temperature increasing. The fracture behavior was examined in microstructure observations for Alloy 617/Alloy 617 WJ at both temperature conditions. In addition, this material exhibited a transgranular fracture for both temperature conditions cut along the grain boundary (GB).
