Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the influence of job stress and role recognition on burnout in preceptor nurses. Methods: A descriptive research design was used with a convenience sample of 131 preceptor nurses. Data were collected using self-reported questionnaires from Mar 1 to Apr 30, 2019. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson’s correlation coefficient, and multiple regression. Results: The mean scores of job stress and role recognition and burnout were 3.53 out of 5, 3.77 out of 5 and 2.64 out of 5, respectively. Preceptor nurses’ burnout was positively correlated with job stress and negatively correlated with role recognition. Factors influencing on preceptor nurses’ burnout were organizational job stress and role recognition which explained 13.9% of the variance. Conclusion: Based on the finding of this study, it is necessary to develop education and intervention programs in order to reduce job stress and enhance role recognition of preceptor nurses. Furthermore, recurrent studies are needed on factors affecting future exhaustion of preceptor nurses.
배터리 셀의 부피 팽창 감지용 PVdF-HFP/BTO 압전 센서 기반 압력 감지 시스템 설계

Piezoelectric sensor can be used to inform the battery safety by detecting the battery swelling induced pressure. In this study, a piezoelectric sensing material, sensor unit, and sensing system were developed using piezoelectric polymer polyvinylidene fluoride-co-hexafluoropropylene(PVdF-HFP) and piezoelectric ceramic BaTiO3(BTO). Free-standing PVdF-HFP/BTO composite nanofiber web was retrieved as the sensing material due to the nanofiber web-based flexibility and the molecular arrangement driven piezoelectric performances. The PVdF-HFP/BTO composite nanofiber web-based sensor was employed in the automatic pressure sensing system, which provides the visual and audible signals once the pressure exceeds a certain limit. Our work demonstrates that the design of new piezoelectric sensing system is a fruitful pathway to sensing the battery malfunctions.

Purpose: This study evaluated the apical root canal system of maxillary second molars, in which conventional endodontic treatment had failed. Materials and Methods: One hundred eighteen extracted endodontically failed maxillary second molars were examined to investigate the root canal morphology using clinical photographs. High-resolution cross-sectional images at the 3mm level from the root apices were taken to evaluate the anatomic variations and canal cleanliness. The incidence of anatomic variations and canals containing debris were evaluated statistically. Results: One (0.85%) maxillary second molar had four separate roots, while 52 (44.07%) had three separate roots. The remaining 65 (55.08%) showed 6 different types of fusion in their roots. As the number of fused roots increased from none to three, the incidence of isthmuses in the cross-sectional images increased significantly from 43.40% to 76.92% in 2-root fusion and 88.46% in 3-root fusion. In addition, the occurrence of less-cleansed canals increased from 22.64% to 38.46% and 53.85%, respectively (p<0.05). Sixty four teeth (54.24%) had 3 canals while 38(32.2%) had additional canals; most of them were located in the MB roots (81.58%). Seventy six (64.41%) had isthmuses in the apical region and 58 out of 76 were located in MB roots. Condlusions: Logistic analysis indicated that the less division of roots was associated significantly with the occurrence of insufficient cleaning during endodontic treatment (OR=1.765, p<0.05), while the presence of an additional canal showed no association.

The aim of this paper was to clarify the concept of powerlessness in the elderly. Methods: A literature search was conducted using RISS, MEDLINE, and CINAHL. Based on the Walker and Avant’s concept analysis method, the definition of powerlessness in the elderly, its attributes, antecedents, consequences, and empirical referents were discussed. Results: Through an integrative literature review and case analysis, the attributes of the powerlessness in the elderly were identified as 1) sense of loss, 2) sense of worthlessness, 3) avoidance, and 4) negative emotion. Conclusion: The results of this concept analysis will be of help for understanding of the concept of powerlessness in the elderly and provide theoretical basis for use of the concept in nursing practice for the elderly.
섬유형 정전용량 센서를 이용한 로봇 핸드의 촉각 감지 시스템

최근 로봇의 안정적인 파지 기술 개발에 대한 연구가 활발히 진행 중이며, 특히 촉각 신호를 시각 정보와 함께 사용하는 로봇의 피드백 제어의 기술 개발이 증가되고 있다. 로봇의 촉각 센서 기술에는 구조가 단순하고 높은 민감도를 가지며, 온도나 습도에 영향을 받지 않는 장점을 가지는 정전용량 방식이 있으며, 이는 로봇에 유용하게 사용될 수 있다. 오늘날 로봇 핸드는 다자유도를 추구하며, 여러 관절의 움직임에서 안정적인 센싱을 위해서는 유연하고 신축성 있는 소재가 요구된다. 이를 해결하고자 전도성 섬유를 기반으로 하는 센서의 종류와 기법 및 구조에 대한 다양한 연구가 진행되며, 우수한 전도성과 가볍고 다양한 크기로 변형이 우수하다는 장점을 가진다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 섬유형 정전용량 센서를 제작하고 이를 로봇 핸드에 적용하여 촉각을 감지할 수 있는 시스템을 제안하였으며, 로봇 핸드에서 촉각 감지 여부를 확인하기 위해 파지 동작에 따른 정전용량의 변화를 측정하였다.
