This paper describes the effect of air forced fuel injector(AFI) using compressed air to improve the exhaust emissions of MPI engine. AFI is designed to affect the exhaust emissions by realizing the stabilized combustion due to the fuel atomization and the accelerration of the mixture. The experiment is done by changing the enging speed, the engine load and the excess air ratio. Experimental results shows the followings. The CO concentration can be greatly decreased by the lean combustion and can be more effectively decreased by using AFI. Especially AFI is the effective system to reduce the HC concentration. As the speed or load of the engine increases AFI's effect improves. The minimum HC concentration is obseved when the excess air ratio is 1.2.
