Make-to-order manufacturers with multiple plants at multiple sites need to have the ability to quickly determine which plant will produce which customer order to meet the due date and minimize the transportation cost from the plants to the customer. Balancing the work loads and minimizing setups and make-span are also of great concern. Solving such scheduling problems usually takes a long time. We propose a new approach, which we call ‘preprocessing', for resolving such complex problems. In preprocessing scheme, a ‘good' a priori schedule is prepared and maintained using unconfirmed order information. Upon the confirmation of orders, the preprocessed schedule is quickly modified to obtain the final schedule. We present a preprocessing solution algorithm for multi-site constraint scheduling problem (MSCSP) using genetic algorithm;and conduct computational experiments to evaluate the performance of the algorithm.

다품종 수주생산형 장치산업의 납기준수를 위한 생산 및 수주전략

In this study we develop a computer simulation model to evaluate the effects of various production and order processing policies measured in terms of on-time delivery rate and average waiting time of job orders. Policies considered include: elimination inflated due date, lot splitting loss time reduction, attaining full flexibility in production lines, and selective order promising scheme. Actual order-production data from a chemical company were used in the simulation model. Based on the simulation results, we make several suggestions that can significantly reduce the production lead time and increase the on-time delivery rate.

현재 세계적으로 기업간의 전자상거래는 대부분 VAN이나 기업이 자체 구축한 전용망을 통한 EDI로 이루어지고 있다. VAN에 기반한 EDI는 업무프로세스의 단순화 및 비용절감에 상당한 효과를 거두고 있지만 이의 실현을 위해서는 EDI 전용망을 구축해야 하며 거래업체가 관련 소프트웨어 및 장비를 설치해야 하므로 소요비용을 부담할 수 있는 일정규모 이상의 기업만이 사용 가능하다. 또한 거래업무의 일괄처리로 인한 실시간 거래 요구 불만족과 같은 문제점을 가진다. 이러한 비용적, 운용적 측면의 이유 이외에도 기업간 거래가 국제화됨에 따라 VAN EDI를 벗어나서 인터넷을 기반으로 하는 개방형 EDI가 대두되고 있다. 인터넷은 기본적으로 개방성을 지향하고 있으며 이용요금이 저렴하기 때문에 새로운 거래상대자를 쉽게 유인할 수 있다. 따라서 인터넷의 보안문제와 같은 단점에도 불구하고 영세중소기업이나 단발적인 거래를 하는 업체들을 위해서는 인터넷을 통해 데이터를 교환하는 방법이 적절한 대안이 될 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 기존 VAN EDI 방식의 한계성을 논하고, 이를 극복하기 위한 대안으로 몇 가지 인터넷 기반 EDI방법론을 기술적 측면에서 정리하였으며, VAN과 인터넷을 통합하는 모형을 제시하였다. 또한 이를 바탕으로 한국통신 조달업무를 대상으로 한 인터넷 기반 EDI 시스템 프로토타입을 설계, 구현하였으며 향후 발전 방향을 모색하였다. This is to report the design and implementation of an electronic commerce platform for the Korea Telecom procurement process employing Web based EDI. The procurement process is analyzed adopting the business analysis technique and the data modeling. Core sub-processes are identified including announcement, bidding, and contract. An Web-based EDI scheme is designed using the business and information modeling technique and the process decomposition technique. A prototype platform is implemented employing Access, Visual Basic, and FrontPage.
