화면해설방송과 배리어프리영화의 연출방법연구 -부산국제영화제 베리어프리영화 제작 중심으로-

화면해설방송과 배리어프리영화는 영상콘텐츠의 스토리 전달이 아닌 화면자체의 이해를 위해 장면의 해설과 편집 연출효과나 장면전환, 등장인물의 표정과 특징 및 제스처나 몸짓 등 대사 없이 처리되는 영상을 해설하여 시각 장애인을 위한 수신기를 통한 화면해설과 청각장애인을 위한 자막이 제공되어 해설소리와 자막으로 방송과 영화를 보고 느낄 수 있도록 하며, 장애에 상관없이 모든 사람이함께 볼 수 있는 서비스를 말한다. 화면해설은 궁극적으로 동작을 설명하고 이야기의 흐름과 풍경과 행동을 전달하는 것에 있다. 사투리나 지역적 특성이 드러나야 할 경우 너무 사투리에 치우치지 않도록 하며 마지막 단계 에서는 해설음의 높낮이 차이로 인식이 어려워지거나 빠진 부분을 확인하여 검수 하는 과정이다. 특히나 문법적 요인인 시제의 사용은 최대한화면 움직임에 근거하여 현재시제를 써야만 한다. 한국의 문법에 없는 근접미래과거의 표현이 화면전환을 통하여 복선 연출이 나오게 되면 사회적 의미와 단어자체의 의미 중 사회적 혹은 영화내용에 부합된 의미로 쓰여 지고 표현 되어야 한다. 부산국제영화제에 상영된 2012년과 2013년 배리어프리영화 제작 방식의 큰 변화는 film으로 상영하던 방식에서 DCP방식으로 디지털 데이터로 된 패키지파일로 제작된 메타데이타를 영사기가 아닌 빔프로젝터로 상영하게 되었다. 그 과정은 JPEG 2000으로 압축되어 MXF파일형태의 파일들이 결합하여 DCP파일을 구성하게 된다. 음향의 경우 PCM방식으로 각 언어트랙 당 MXF파일로 구성이 된다. 제작환경의 변화는 다양한 매체를 실험하게 되고 스마트환경과 함께 결합되어 미리 정보를 전달하여 바쁘게 나레이션 하지 않아도 되는 환경이 열리고 있다. 지금까지 드라마나 빠르게 전계되지 않은 다큐멘터리에 한정되었던 화면해설과 베리어프리영화 장르가 폭넓은 타 장르로 곧 시도될 전망이다. Descriptive Video Service and Barrier-Free Movie is a service which is aimed at helping to understand screen images themselves rather than delivering the story of image contents. In other words, the service interprets the images without lines, such as scenes, cutting, di-rection effect, scene change, facial expression of characters, their fea-tures, and their gestures and motions to provide such interpretation for visually handicapped persons through a receiving set and offer sub-titles to hearing-handicapped persons. By providing interpretation sound and subtitles, it helps all people watch TV programs and mov-ies regardless of disabilities. Descriptive interpretation is aimed at describing motions and deliver-ing the flow of a story, scenes and actions. When dialects or regional characteristics are required to appear, the interpretation should not focus too much on dialects. What is needed in its last step is to check whether there is any difficulty in under-standing because of the pitch of interpretation sound or whether there is any omission. In particular, when its tense as a grammatical factor is used, it should become the present tense as much as possible on the basis of the motion images on the screen. If expressions with the near-future tense and the near-past tense, which do not exist in Korean grammar, appear foreshadowing through scene change, their social meanings and word meanings should be used and expressed in the way that they correspond with social contents or movie contents.

영상디자인에서 모션그래픽의 경향은 기본적인 모션그래픽의 구성 요소인 공간(Space), 표현형식(Form), 시간(Time)를 적절히 이용하여 하나의 메시지로 전달하기 위해 구현되는 모션그래픽은 보다 강력한 커뮤니케이션 수단으로 사용되어 지고 있다. 관객들이 요구하는 움직임이 빠르고 다양한 이미지와 이펙트 등 그에 어울리는 사운드가 조화롭게 이루어져 타이틀 시퀀스가 제작되었음을 실증사례를 통해 알 수 있다. 본 연구내용을 통해 모션그래픽은 타이틀 시퀀스에 있어서 더욱 강력한 영상 커뮤니케이션 도구로 확장되고 있으며. M-NET, DMB, CABLE TV와 IPTV 등 에서도 적용되고있다. In the field of video design, motion graphics tends to be realized to deliver a certain message properly incorporating basic motion graphics components such as space, form of expression, and time, and has continued to be used as a powerful communication tool. Many cases proved that title sequences were produced as a result of combination of a variety of quick images and effects with appropriately chosen sounds to meet the demands of audience. This study indicated that motion graphics began to be widely used as a more powerful video communication tool for title sequences and also applied for M-NET, DMB, CABLE TV, IPTV, and others.
