The purpose of this study is to propose the method of public facilities design for the community revitalization. This study divides design process into programming, planning and design step. And this study extracts revitalization models, performance requirements, and design concepts through the examination on community planning and good cases of public facilities, and case study. And then this study takes the study method that corresponds design goal and revitalization models to the programming step, the performance requirements to the planning step, and the design concepts to design step. This study style expresses the recognition that has to attaches importance to design process and management program for community revitalization. The revitalization models proposed in this study are as follows; Barcelona Model, Bilbao Effect Model, Tate modern Model, TND Model, and Setagaya Model. The performance requirements are as follows; Autonomy, Multi-use, Access, Symbol, Regionalisation and Esteem. The design concepts are as follows; Architecture of relation to public space, Space composition stimulating human contacts, Space composition opened to community, Flexible space, Iconic landmark form, Form and space of regional image, and Regional materials and colors. Using the Models, Performance requirements and Design concepts, this study proposes the method of public facilities design that has relation to design step and design characteristic. Finally, this study makes a suggestion that reuse of community stock, community participation, and design reflecting regional context and values of community should be done in our country.

In this study, we will draw up ways to improve the design and management of the modern industrial heritage for sustainable local regeneration through analysis of urban regeneration cases in Korea and China, which are actively trying to utilize the modern industrial heritage. In particular, the government intends to proactively identify the use of industrial heritage from a participatory perspective. Research has shown that the regeneration of modern industrial heritage lays the foundation for artists and culture, spreading various creative activities. This was the result of creating a spatial division unique to the modern industrial heritage that promoted creative activities and led to the expansion of new creative spaces.

The purpose of this study is to grasp the ecological design method of Lucien Kroll. Kroll's architecture in our architectural field is mainly comprehended to the eco-social approach on user's participation. By this study, his architecture can be more widely comprehended. Kroll's ecological design methods and techniques become clear by the analysis of his statements, writings and constructions. The ecological design method is put in order by five types as follows; Paysage, Participation, Organic Architecture, Open Building and Eco-Friendly Technology. Paysage consists of the techniques of embodying cultural landscape. Organic Architecture the techniques of considering context and organic space, using complex elevation and mixed materials, and producing natural lighting. Participation the techniques of using communication tools and simulation, and prefabricating infill. Open Building the techniques of improving SAR module, diversifying architectural composition system, and designing adaptive use. Eco-Friendly Technology the techniques of pursuing global access and practice. This study summarizes Kroll's ecological design method into relative structure. Through the relative structure summary, we can have a good grasp of his ecological design method. Kroll's ecological design method can be evaluated as total approach for ecological matter. In case of application of Kroll's ecological design method in our country, deeper approach may be required in the fields of eco-friendly architecture, housing, redevelopment and rebuilding, and urban regeneration.

When we measure the overcoming process of Netherlands for geographic limitations, We can know that sustainability will be a inherent and social value that Netherlands has sought. In this point, the study on the spatial planning of Netherlands could give a lot of implications to us. The purpose of this study is to grasp the characteristics and the change of the spatial planning in Netherlands, based on the planning doctrine and the planning dimension of sustainability. This study, as the study object, deals with Randstad and Green Heart, and the structure of national space since the 1960s. The significance of this study would be in grasping the change process and characteristics of spatial planning, and having a comprehensive view on spatial planning of Netherlands. The results of study are summarized as the followings. Randstad and Green Heart as the core of the planning doctrine and the spatial planning. The establishment and consistent practices of the planning doctrine that has the growth management of Randstad and preservation of Green Heart as a goal. The application of planning principle as using the strategic planning and sociocratic planning. The solution to social needs through the structural change of national space over following planning doctrine. In current spatial planning, giving priority to economic sustainability over adjusting the planning doctrine for competitiveness improvement among EU cities. Finally, this study suggests the implications for spatial planning and makes the limit and future tasks for this research clear.

The purpose of this study is to review and evaluate the proper planning for 2030 Incheon Urban Parks & Green Space Master Plan. Some of the plans are aimed at multiple small districts within the city's old town, as local governments are planned to be sub-subsidized by Incheon Metropolitan City. However, these plans have become simple plans for each district and therefore find it difficult to collect from the perspective of the using system of the residents who are directly used. First, the construction of the urban park and green space network requires the construction of a service using system that can be felt by the users. Second, the basic idea of each district planned as the detailed strategy of the master plan should be planned through consultation with nearby the district. Third, specific targets and directions for the urban park and green space plan through the urban development project are needed.
