The effect of break down of centrifugal pump due to entrained air has not been clarified yet. Thus, air-water two-phase flow experimental apparatus was installed to clarify the effect of break down. The performance results of a single-phase flow satisfied reappearance. Also, the heads coincided well impeller types.

현 IGC 코드의 멤브레인형 LNG선박의 화물탱크에 설치되는 vent 출구의 높이는 노출갑판상 B/3 또는 6m 중 큰 것 이상으로 하고 작업구역 및 전후부 통행로, 갑판상의 저장탱크 및 화물설계액위 보다 6m 이상 높게 설치하여야 한다. 때문에 높은 vent riser로 인하여 작업의 어려움 및 wheel house에서의 견시요원의 전방 시야를 방해하는 등 항해의 어려움을 초래한다. 본 연구에서는 현 화물탱크의 vent 출구의 높이에 대한 적합성 평가를 수행하며 IGC 코드 개정작업의 기초자료를 제시한다.
내부자유도를 갖는 FDLBM에 의한 2원주 주위에서 발생하는 유동소음의 수치계산

The aerodynamic sounds around pairs of circular cylinders in tandem arrangements are directly simulated in this study. A lattice BGK model based on a finite difference scheme with multi specific heat ratio, which can easily simulated a diatomic gas such as air, is applied. The centre-to-centre distance (L) of the investigated configuration varies from 2 to 10 diameter (d), and results obtained are compare to the experimental ones. The Reynolds number and Mach number in simulations are Re=21,000 and Ma=0.056, respectively. The results show that we successively capture very small acoustic pressure fluctuations, with the same frequency of the Karman vortex street, much smaller than the whole pressure fluctuations around pairs of circular cylinders.
래티스볼츠만 모델에 의한 이동물체로부터 발생하는 유동소음 해석

In this study, flowfield and acoustic waves emitted from moving body and rotating elliptic cylinder are directly simulated using the lattice Boltzmann model formulated by the arbitrary Lagrangian Eulerian scheme. The flowfield is almost periodic after the calculation fully developed. Matching procedure between the moving grid and fixed grid is examined. The large vortexes appear at the outside of the elliptic cylinder, and move slowly to the same direction as the cylinder's rotation. The positive and negative vorticity is alternately occurred at the edge by those large vortexes. The acoustic waves propagate synchronizing with the rotational and increase with M<SUP>3.5</SUP> of rotational speed of elliptic cylinder.

천연가스 하이드레이트(NGH)는 화석연료를 대체할 21세기의 새로운 환경 친화적 에너지자원으로서 급부상하고 있다. 현재 국내에서도 동해 유망지역 정밀조사, 시추 및 부존확인, 생산기반 및 핵심 생산기술 연구, 시험생산 및 최적 상업적 행산 기법 도출을 목표로 연구 중이지만 NGH 해상운송시스템 분야의 연구는 전무한 상태이다. 본 연구에서 보고되는 사항은 국토해양부의 “신에너지 천연가스 하이드레이트(NGH) 해상운송 기술개발 기획연구”의 일부분으로서, 다루어지는 핵심요소기술로서는 화물격납설비, 선적/하역 시스템 및 운항모니터링시스템 등의 기술들을 고려해 볼 필요가 있다.

This paper presents a two-dimensional edge tone to predict the frequency characteristics of the discrete oscillations of a jet-edge feedback cycle by the finite difference lattice Boltzmann method (FDLBM). We use a new lattice BGK compressible fluid model that has an additional tenn and allow larger time increment comparing the conventional FDLBM, and also use a boundary fitted coordinates. The jet is chosen long enough in order to guarantee the parabolic velocity profile of the jet at the outlet, and the edge consists of a wedge with an angle of α = 23°. At a stand-off distance w, the edge is inserted along the centreline of the jet, and a sinuous instability wave with real frequency f is assumed to be created in the vicinity of the nozzle and to propagate towards the downstream. We have succeeded in capturing very small pressure fluctuations result from periodically oscillation of jet around the edge. That pressure fluctuations propagate with the sound speed. Its interaction with the wedge produces an irrotational feedback field which, near the nozzle exit, is a periodic transverse flow producing the singularities at the nozzle lips.<br/> The lattice BGK model for compressible fluids is shown to be one of powerful tool for computing sound generation and propagation for a wide range of flows.
