      • 오이의 性發現에 미치는 Ethephon과 Gibberellin의 自葉期 處理 效果

        오이는 性發現에 관한 基礎資料를 얻고져 飛節成種인 四葉과 節成種인 신록다다기, 그 中間形인 聖護院을 공사하여 種子와 崔芽종자의 蛋白質含量의 品種간 차이와 子葉展開期의 ethephon(250ppm)과 Gibberellin(100ppm)處理에 의한 蛋白質 含量과 peroxidase活性의 變化, 蛋白質 banding pattern 및 perosidase isoenzyme의 banding pteern의 變化 關係를 調査하여 다음과 같은 結果를 얻었다. 1) 種子와 崔牙種子인 蛋白質含量, 蛋白質 banding pattern 및 peroxidase의 banding pattern에서 飛節成과 節成品種간에 뚜렷한 차이를 볼 수 없었다. 2) 子葉期의 蛋白質 含量과 蛋白質 banding pattern에서는 3品種 모두 ethephon處理區에서 蛋白質含量이 높았고, 蛋白質 banding pattern에서는 處理 後 日數가 지남에 따라 變異를 보이다가 處理後 5日째 四葉의 ethephon 處理區의 Rf 0.33-0.34의 位置에 强度높은 band가 形成되었으며, 聖護院, 신록다다기의 無處理區에서 形成된 band의 位置와 强度가 同一하였다. 3) 子葉期의 peroxidase 活性 및 peroxidase banding pattern에서는 ethephon處理區에서 3品種 모두 peroxidase activity가 높게 나타났으며, ethephon 處理後 1일째는 3品種 모두 거의 같은 band의 樣相을 나타내었고, 處理 後 3일째는 變化의 樣相을 보이다가 處理後 5일째는 四葉의 ethephon 處理區와 聖護院, 신록다다기의 control區가 거의 같은 banding pattern을 나타내었다. This experiment was conducted to obtain the basic information the patterns of change in protein contents, peroxidase activity and of sex expression between three cucumber varieties(monoecious type;Sayeupl gynoecious type; Sinrokdadaki, intermediate type; Seonghowon) by treating ethephon with 250ppm and gibberellin with 100ppm at the maturing stage of their cotyledons. The patterns of changes in protein contents and peroxidase activity were analyzed using disk polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis and the results are summarized as follows. 1. No difference was found in changes of the protein contents, band pattern of peroxidase and iso peroxidase activities between mature seeds and germinating seeds of Sayeup(monoecious type) and Sinrokdadaki(gynoecious type). 2. High protein contents were obtained in cotyledons of all varieties treated with ethephon, and a variety of band patterns of protein isolated were shown on the gel during the initial stages after ethephon treatment. After 5 days of ethephon treatment, however, a strong band was observed at the Rf value of 0.33-0.34 on the gel analyzed from the proteins isolated from Sayeup cotyledons with etyephon treatment and the band intensity of their proteins was similar to ones from Seonghowonand Sinrokdadaki with no ethephon treatment. 3. As a result of gel analysis, high activity and strong band of peroxidase isolated from ethephon treated carieties was examined. Similar band patterns of proteins isolated were observed in the cotyledons of all carieties used after one day of ethephon treatment. After 3 days of ethephon treatment, all varieties showed various band patterns, while after 5 days, the band pattern of proteins isolated from ethephon treated Sayeup similar one of proteins from both Seonghowon and Sinrokdadaki with no ethephon.

        It shows a marked trend increasing the products of organic agriculture with growing interest in peoples health and safe foodstuffs. This is in the cause of the consuming public using habitually of safety and tasty organic agricultural products for reasons of environment pollution, environment hormone and etc. Now in Korea, organic agricultural products must be approved by our government of its quality, there fore organic agricultural products, that of transition period, non- chemicals agricultural products and less chemicals agricultural products are in cultivation separately. With the increase in number of consumers in future, we have to extend the products of the organic agriculture and have to control more strictly the quality guaranteed. Also, we must grope for developing of our organic agricultural products so that our producer can work with a strong will to attain self-sufficiency of our foodstuffs, paying our influence of environment.

      • 녹엽단백질에서 조제한 Neutral Detergent Fiber 급여가 흰쥐 혈청 콜레스테롤 농도에 미치는 영향

        Italian ryegrass(Lolium multiflorum Lam.) 분획 leaf protein을 neutral detergent 용액 처리에 의하여 NDF 잔사를 얻어, actinase 처리에 의하여 단백질을 제거하고, neutral detergent fiber 標品으로 하였다. 콜레스테롤 無添加 기초식이(casein 20% 함유)에 NDF를 2.0% 混合하여, 7주령이 Wister strain 흰쥐 숫컷에 14일간 급여하였다. 그 결과 혈청 총콜레스테롤 농도는 카제인 급여군과 NDF 첨가군 사이에는 차가 없고, 대두 단백질 급여군에 비교하여 유의하게 높고, NDF 添加에 의한 영향을 보이지 않았다. 한편, 농도는 카제인 급여군과 유의차는 없지만, NDF 첨가에 의하여 감소하는 영향이었다. Unfractionated leaf protein was prepared from Italian ryegrass (Lolium maltiflorum Lam.) by heating the green juice at 85℃. Wet leaf protein was extracted repeatedly with acetone followed by 80% ethanol to remove lipid, pigment and specifically saponin. The neutral detergent fiber (NDF) proposed by Van Soest have been widely accepted for the determination of plant food. In this study, the effect of NDF on the serum cholesterol level in rats fed with cholesterol free diet was examed. NDF were incoporated in the diet at a level of 2.0% without cholesterol free diet. This diet was fed for 14 days to male Wistar strain rats with body weight of 80 90g. It was found no significantly change in serum lipids level in the neutral detergent fiber fed rats in cholesterol free diet.

        Bovine botulism outbreak associated with incidental consumption of presumably contaminated leftover food

        Nine cattle among 18 in a native Korean herd died or were euthanized within 3 days. The affected cattle showed cowshed. The pigs and dogs had been fed leftover food originating from nearby restaurants, and the cattle could presumably reach the contaminated food in the pig troughs. Necropsy revealed a few chicken bones and red pepper pieces as well as large amounts of grain and rice straw hay mixed in the rumen. Botulism type D was isolated in the ruminal contents of one of the cattle. We speculated that the outbreak was associated with the cattle incidentally eating presumably contaminated leftover food from the pig trough.

        It is very important for the turbine rotor steel to predict residual life from a viewpoint of safety under using conditions(including cold, warm and hot start), but the research report of this part is rarely found in the country. So, in this study the investigation for the maximum stress and temperature distribution of Y-Fossil HP rotor was confirmed by FEM(finite element method) analysis program, ROSTRESS and ROTEMP. The life consumption by creep and fatigue phenomenon of crack was considered. In the rotor life prediction program-ROLIFE developed, Paris and Forman rule were used and compared with each other as the prediction for the fatigue crack propagation, and the remaining rotor could be calculated as the sum of fatigue and creep damage by Miner rule.

      • 참외의 接木裁培에 관한 硏究

        Experiments wer conducted to investigate of rootstocksk on the growth, yield and quality of oriental melon cultivars and to find out problems associated with successful growing of grafted seedlings. Major results can be summarized as follows. 1. The percentage of healthy plants, sintozwa and chamtozwa were 100, while hongtozwa and chambak were less than 11.8. 2. The growth of oriental melon was promoted by non-grafted and sintozwa root stock. 3. Soluble solid contents of non-grafted and chamtozwa rootstock were hight than sintozwa rootstock. 4. Glucose and Fructose contents of sintozwa rootstock was hihter than chamtozwa rootstock. Whereas, sucrose contents of non-grafted was hiher than sintozwa, chamtozwa rootstock. 5. Grafting onto sintozwa rootstock increased the contents of most mineral element except Ca in the leaves.

      • 臺木의 種類 및 生長調節物質 處理가 여름삼척 仰制栽培 오이의 生育 및 收量에 미치는 影響 : Cucumis sativus cv. Summer Samchuk

        Studies were conducted to investigate the response of 'Summer Samchuk' cucumber grafted on different rootstocks and then treated with several growth regulators. The results are as follows. 1. Number of pistillate flowers was not significantly influenced by rootstocks even though 'Heukzong' rootstock tended to increase it. 2. Grafted cucumber seedlings were less responsive to GA_3 treatment as compared to intact seedlings. All the seedlings, however, showed similar response to ethephon treatment. 3. The growth of 'Summer Samchuk' cucumber was promoted by grafting to 'Heukzong' rootstock. Among the tested growth regulators, ethephon 250 ppm exhibited stronger inhibition of main stem growth. 4. Those plants grafted to 'Heukzong' rootstock showed higher fruit yield. The fruits tended to become shorter with grafting. Ethephon treatment reduced the fruit length and fruit diameter, thus resulting in inferior fruits.

      • 臺木의 種類가 오이의 生育, 收量 및 品質에 미치는 影響

        Studies were conducted to investigate the effect of different rootstocks on the growth, fruit yield, chlorophyll and protein contents in leaves, and fruit quality in 2 cucumber cultivars. The results are summarized as follows. 1. The best grafting affinity was obtained with 'Sintozwa' and 'Heukzong' rootstocks in both tested cucumber cultivars. 2. Main stem length and leaf number per seedling were not influenced by any rootstocks tested as compared to those of intact plants. 3. Fruit yield of 'House Chungrok' cucumber was higher in the plants grafted to 'Sintozwa' and 'Heukzong' rootstocks, whereas the yield of 'Chungjang Madi' cucumber was not influenced by rootstocks. 4. Chlorophyll and total protein content in leaves were higher in the plants grafted to 'Sintozwa' and 'Heukzong' as compared to other rootstocks.
