Hypereosinophilia, defined as an absolute eosinophil count of >1,500/μL, can be caused by a number of allergic, infectious, para neoplastic and neoplastic disorders. In cases of hypereosinophilia with lymphoid proliferation, pathological confirmation is essential to exclude either myeloid or lymphoid malignancy. A 38-year-old woman with both cervical lymphadenopathies and peripheral blood eosinophilia visited our clinic. She had already performed core biopsy of lymph nodes and diagnosed as Kimura disease at a regional hospital. At the time of our clinic visit, there were no palpable cervical lymph nodes. The blood test showed hypereosino philia with a high total IgE level. There was no evidence of tissue infiltration of eosinophils except for duodenitis with eosinophilic infiltration. Based on these findings, she was diagnosed as Kimura disease. She treated with high-dose systemic corticosteroid (1 mg/kg) and additional immunosuppressants sequentially used cyclophosphamide and cyclosporine. However, her eosinophilia waxed and waned, and a left inguinal mass was newly found. Excisional biopsy findings showed large atypical lymphoid cells with numerous eosinophilis, and immunohistochemistry showed CD3+, CD20-, CD30+ and anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK). The final diagnosis was ALK-negative anaplastic large cell lymphoma. We report a case of anaplastic large cell lymphoma with marked pe ripheral eosinophilia misdiagnosed as Kimura disease. In the case of hypereosinophilia with lymphadenopathy, it is necessary to dif ferentiate hematologic diseases through immunochemical staining. (Allergy Asthma Respir Dis 2018;6:131-134)

초등학생의 차별피해경험이 자아존중감에 미치는 영향: 인권의식과 사회적지지의 조절효과

본 연구의 목적은 초등학생이 지각하는 차별피해경험, 자아존중감, 인권의식 및 사회적지지의 전반적 경향을 살펴보고 초등학생의 차별피해경험과 자아존중감과의 관계에서 인권의식과 사회적지지의 조절효과가 있는지 검증하는 것이다. 이를 위해 한국청소년정책연구원의 2015년 아동·청소년인권실태조사 데이터를 활용하여 초등학교 4-6학년 3,041명의 자료를 분석에 사용하였다. 연구결과, 첫째, 초등학생들의 차별피해경험 수준은 낮은 것으로 나타났지만, 최근 1년 동안 차별피해경험을 1회 이상 경험한 초등학생은 35.09%로 나타났다. 초등학생의 자아존중감과 인권의식은 다소 높은 수준이었으며 자아존중감과 인권의식에서만 성별에 따른 차이가 유의미하게 나타났다. 둘째, 초등학생의 차별피해경험, 자아존중감 및 인권의식의 상관관계 를 살펴본 결과, 차별피해경험과 자아존중감은 부적으로 관련이 있었으며 인권의식과 자아존중감은 정적으로 관련이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 초등학생의 차별피해경험과 자아존중감의 관계에서 인권의식의 조절효과가 유의미한 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 초등학생의 차별피해경험과 자아존중감의 관계에서 사회적지지의 조절효과도 유의미한 것으로 나타났다. This study investigated the relationship between experienced discrimination and self-esteem focusing on moderating effects of perception of human right and social support by analyzing 3,041 elementary school students from the “Korean Survey on the Rights of Youth and Children in 2015” data of the National Youth Policy Institute of Korea. The results showed that (1)Elementary school students have low levels of experienced discrimination. However, 1,067 elementary school students(35.09%) experienced discrimination more than once in a year, (2)experienced discrimination and self-esteem among elementary school students are negatively related, (3)In the relationship between elementary school students experienced discrimination and self-esteem, the perception of human rights has been shown to have moderating effect, and (4)The social support has also moderating effect on the relationship between elementary school students experienced discrimination and self-esteem. This study suggests that human rights education and social support should be needed to strengthen positive self-esteem against experienced discrimination.

고등교육부문 공적개발원조의 결정요인에 관한 실증적 분석: 한국과 일본의 고등교육 원조를 중심으로

지난 수십여 년 간 공적개발원조에서 중요한 화두는 교육을 통한 발전이었으며, 최근 고등교육부문에 대한 원조의 중요성이 강조되고 있다. 이러한 중요성에도 불구하고, 고등교육부문 원조의 결정요인에 관한 실증적 연구는 매우 부족하다. 본 연구는 원조정책과 원조패턴이 유사한 한국과 일본의 고등교육부문 원조를 비교분석함으로써 이를 살펴본다. 양국 모두 교육부문에 대한 투자를 바탕으로 지속가능한 경제성장을 이룩하였다는 점뿐만 아니라, 교육부문 원조에서 고등교육부문 원조가 차지하는 비율이 가장 높다는 점에서도 비슷하다. 이러한 유사성에도 불구하고, 한국과 일본의 고등교육부문 원조의 구체적 특성―원조의 지역적 배분 등―은 큰 차이를 보이고 있다. 수원국 필요와 공여국 이익을 고려하여 분석한 결과, 수원국의 중등교육 취학률, 민주주의 정도, 그리고 지식경제관련 무역규모가 고등교육원조 배분에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 고등교육 ODA에 대한 후속 연구 및 정책결정을 위한 논의의 토대를 마련하였다는 점에서 학술적, 정책적 의의가 있다. Education and its effects on development having been a major topic in international development cooperation, aid to higher education is emphasized in more recent years. Despite the significance of aid to higher education, there has been few empirical research on its determinants. This paper investigates what affects donors` decision to provide aid to higher education in recipient countries by comparing South Korea and Japan that are taken as having similar aid policies and patterns. Both countries achieved sustainable economic development with investment in education and provide more aid to higher education than aid to primary and secondary education. Despite these similarities, they differ in terms of key characteristics of their aid allocation to higher education. When recipient needs variables and donor interest variables are considered, this paper finds that secondary school enrollment rate, level of democracy, and ICT-related trade volume have statistically significant influence on the share of aid to higher education in total aid to a given recipient country.
