        제5차 고등학교 교육과정의 환경관련 교재분석 및 학생의 환경교육 실태 분석 연구

        The international environmental activity and environmental education began in 1970's. Environmental education in Korea was emphasized since the Forth National Curriculum. The Environmental Curriculum was regarded as one of the most important part in the Sixth National Curriculum in Korea. Environment-related reference texts of Elementary school were already developed. Soon, 'Environment' of middle school and 'Environmental Science' of high school will be developed. The purpose of this study were to analyse environment-related texts in the Fifth National Curriculum and to measure how much environmental education has achieved. As a environmental text for regular class, selected the environmental part in 'Science Part 1' and as environment-related reference text, 'Survival and Environment'. The environmental part of 'Science Part 1' was unit [Life and Environment]. According to the analysis of objectives, most of unit objectives were not stated in a detailed and precise manner. When the goals of environmental education were divided into four fields as follows, knowledge and information, skill, thinking and attitude, behavior and participation, unit objectives were mostly emphasized on knowledge and information of environment, exactly 44.5% of unit objectives and 89.6% of subunit objectives. The degree of relationship between unit objectives and contents was low. All the Check up-problems were about knowledge and information of environment. Environment-related reference text, 'Survival and Environment' was the only reference text for high school students in Korea and was organized in the form of the regular curriculum text. It was developed in Korean Education Development, Center with support of Korean Environmental Ministry in 1990. According to the analysis of 'Survival and Environment', the objectives of units and subunits were less stressed on knowledge and information than those of unit [Life and Environment] in the environmental part of 'Science Part 1' On the other hand, they were a little more stressed on skill, thinking and attitude, behavior and participation. And fifteen of all the seventy subunit objectives were not related with contents. In organization, this text included Thinking problems, Experiments and Inquiries, Reading, Developed studies and Check up-problem etc. It was remarkable that Inquiries leaded to individual activities and Developed studies to group discussions or individual inquiries. And as Check-up problems were presented as a form of activities, students could achieve many various objectives at the same time by solving one problem. To measure the achievement of environmental education by questionnaire, 497 high school students in total were selected from five different schools. Scores in subtest 'behavior and participation' and subtest 'thinking and attitudes' were 13.19 and 18.18, respectively. Actually, most students had a positive thinkings and attitudes in their hearts about environmental problems, but many of them actually did not take actions to solve environmental problems and to protect environment. Scores in subtest 'knowledge and information' and subtest 'skill' were 10.76 and 10.81, respectively. The higher the score students got in 'knowledge and information', the higher the score in 'skill'. It implies that learning of skills is based on learning of knowledges and informations about environment has not always ensured positive thinkings and attitudes or active behaviors and participations to solve environmental problem.

        자아존중감 향상을 위한 '인지적 재구조화 전략'이 환경 단원의 학습에 미치는 효과

        'Self-esteem' is defined as 'the lived status of one's individual competence and personal worthiness in dealing with the challenges of Life over Time'. High self-esteem is associated with self-confidence, effectively coping, well-being, and responsibility and it is essential for the responsible choice and determination of environments. The purposes of this study were to develop a strategy to enhance the self-esteem and to verify the effects. A new strategy, 'Cognitive Restructuring Strategy' was based on the characteristics of self-esteem and the key idea of this was to eliminate negative thoughts and to reinforce affirmative thoughts. We developed the statement to embody this strategy and applied to the experimental group. According to the results, self-esteem for the control group(155) did not changed but that for the experimental group(158) was significantly enhanced. Continuously, environmental learning instructions of 3 units were carried out on two groups. By applying the t-test, achievement-test scores for the experimental group per unit were significantly higher than those of the control group as regards the four respective goals of EE. Therefore this strategy and statement are helpful in enhancing self-esteem and it was found that 'self-esteem' is a influential factor to form environmental responsible behaviors(ERB).

        Relationship between Cracking Closure and Zero Stress Temperature in Concrete Pavements

        Spalling, which deteriorates the condition of concrete pavements and reduces riding comfort, is caused by many factors. In this study, as a potential factor for spalling, the relationship between crack closure and the zero-stress temperature (ZST) was investigated based on measurements made on three types of concrete pavement. As a result, the ZST, which is determined by the air and concrete temperatures when the concrete is placed, was found to be correlated with crack behavior in concrete pavement. In particular, continuously reinforced concrete overlay (CRCO) or pavement (CRCP) tended to develop crack closure at temperatures exceeding the ZST due to the effect of rebars embedded in the CRCP in constraining excessive opening of cracks. In contrast, the whitetopping section with joints did not show crack closure irrespective of the ZST. From this, it can be inferred that early-age concrete temperature management can contribute to the performance enhancement and service life extension of concrete pavements.

        콘크리트 포장의 소음 저감을 위한 임의 간격 타이닝 설계 및 적용

        This study suggests a suitable random transverse tining for reduction tire/road noise from concrete pavement. Through literature reviews, random transverse tining that can disperse the energy concentrated to the specific frequency was suggested using the LCG(linear congruential generators) algorithm. The spacing of tining from this study is applied to Daegu-Pohang express highway. For the purpose of comparison, two other random tining sections were included that are research products from Chung-Ang university and Wisconsin DOT. In result of pass-by noise measurement by car, though designed section is superior to the others as noise reduction by reducing pitch noise, the effectiveness is not large. In case of traffic noise measurement, lower noise was observed at random transverse tining sections than uniformly transverse tining section, too. But there are some differences between pass-by noise and traffic noise. 본 연구에서는 콘크리트 포장에서 발생하는 소음을 저감시키기 위한 최적의 임의간격 횡방향 타이닝 설계 간격을 제안하였다. 기존 문헌조사를 바탕으로 소음 발생에 대한 원인을 규명하였고, LCG(linear congruential generators) 알고리즘 이론을 이용하여 특정 주파수에 집중되는 에너지를 효과적으로 분산시킬 수 있는 타이닝의 간격을 설계하였다. 실내 시뮬레이션 결과를 대구-포항 고속국도 현장에 적용하였고 기존 국내외에 적용된 임의간격 횡방향 타이닝 시공도 병행하여 실내외 소음 및 교통소음을 비교하였다. 실내외 소음 측정 결과, 피치 소음으로 인한 소음을 감소시킴으로써 임의간격 횡방향 타이닝 구간이 일반구간 보다 낮은 소음도를 보였으나, 그 효과가 크지 않았다. 교통 소음 측정에서도 전체적으로 일반 타이닝 구간에 비해 임의 간격 횡방향 타이닝 구간에서 더 큰 소음저감 효과를 확인할 수 있었으나, Pass-by 소음 측정과는 다소 차이를 보였다.
