        『과도기』의 두 지향

        이 글이 집중적인 분석 대상으로 소환한 텍스트는 채만식의 『과도기』이다. 이 작품은 습작기적 미숙성과 검열로 인해 곳곳에 텍스트의 균열과 구멍을 드러내고 있다. 그러나 오히려 역설적이게도 그러한 균열이나 구멍이야말로 채만식 문학의 기원을 해명하는 데는 더할 나위 없이 좋은 단서로 작용한다. 분석 결과 『과도기』는 채만식 문학의 기원인 전통적인 가족제도와 결혼제도에 대한 상징적인 처벌과 대결의지를 반영하고 있다. 더불어 이 작품은 채만식 문학의 또 다른 기원으로 기능하는 식민지 근대에 대한 대결 의지의 동력으로 작용하는 민족주의적 지향을 반영하고 있다. 먼저 전통적인 가족제도와 결혼제도에 대한 채만식의 문제의식은 최소한의 자기 동일성도 찾아보기 힘들 정도로 분열적이고 모순적인 정수의 진술을 통해 드러나고 있다. 전통적인 가족제도와 결혼제도에 대한 채만식의 문제의식은 이후의 작품들에서 반복적인 변주를 보이는 과정에서 심화·확장되면서 채만식 문학의 기원으로 자리잡게 된다. 민족주의적 지향에 대한 채만식의 문제의식은 충동적인 기질의 봉우의 일본인에 대한 울분의 분출과 양자의 입적 문제를 단순한 혈연의 문제로 환원해버리는 형식이의 소박한 해법을 통해 드러나고 있다. 민족주의적 지향에 대한 채만식의 문제의식은 이후 발표되는 작품들에 오면서 계속 심화·확장 되면서 전통적인 가족제도와 결혼제도에 함께 채만식 문학의 두 기원으로 기능하는 식민지 근대에 대한 채만식의 대결의지로 발전하게 된다. This paper summoned the text from 『Transition』 by Chae, Man-sik as the subject of intensive analysis. The work reveals cracks and holes in the text due to its immaturity in early works and censorship. Paradoxically, however, such cracks or holes serve as a perfectly good clue to explaining the origins of Chae, Man-sik’s literature. According to the analysis, the work 『Transition』 reflects the symbolic punishment and will to confront the traditional family system and the marriage system, which are the origins of Chae, Man-sik’s literature. In addition, this work reflects a nationalist orientation that serves as a driving force for the confrontation against colonial modernity, which serves as another origin of his literature. First of all, his problematic consciousness about traditional family system and marriage system is revealed through Chung-soo’s divisive and contradictory statements that make it difficult to find minimal se lf-identity. His problematic consciousness about traditional family and marriage systems deepened and expanded in the process of repeated variations in his later works, establishing the origins of his literature. Chae Man-sik"s problematic consciousness of nationalist orientation is revealed through impulsive Bong-woo’s outburst of anger over Japanese people and Hyung-sik’s simple solution reducing the problem of adoption to a simple blood relationship. Chae Man-sik"s problematic consciousness of nationalist orientation continues to deepen and expand in later works, developing into his confrontation which functions as two origins of Chae Man-sik literature with traditional family and marriage system.

        손창섭 소설의 기원

        The origin of Son Chang-seup`s novel is oedipus complex. This thesis started with this critical mind. Therefore, the purpose this thesis is to eluminate operative principle which oedipus complux is source in Son Chang-Seup`s novel. On the grounded of such analytic consequence, this thesis conclued that the former works of [comedy of god] are the symptom of it. The former works of [comedy of god] revealed female complex which functioneded as symptom ordipus complex. The female complex of they are revealed two aspects which are variated with repetition. One is the abhorrence and violence which are mediated othered mechanism. The other is the sublimination which are mediated fantasy. The former form of female complex is revealed in early works such as [holiday]. The latter form of female complex is revealed in latter works such as [smile], [the marginal man].

        ≪삼부녀≫에 나타난 오이디푸스 콤플렉스와 가족주의

        This treatise started with important critical mind. Although ≪Three father and daughter≫ is the faithful text to the grammar and code of popular novel, the text showed distinctly Son chang seoup`s unconsciousness to the oedipus complex and modern family system which functioned origin of Son chang seoup`s novels. This treatise confirmed that ≪Three father and daughter≫ played a variation on a oedipus complex repeatedly. This treatise conclueded that those narrative aspects was projecred criminal consciousness and grudge to the his mother. In addition to, this treatise confirmed that this text searched fundamental reflection to the modern family system which is the traces of oedipus complex. This treatise confirmed that Son chang seoup presented alternative model to modern family system through this text. The core of alternative family model was community of emotion which was based on common ownership of intimacy such as relationship and solidarity, and understanding and consideration, and comprehension and sympathy among social members. To be sure, this search to the modern family system unconsciousness and the oedipus complex which functioned origin of Son chang seoup`s novels had denunciation to the possibility of realization and potential risk of it. Nevertheless, Son chang seoup`s alternative model to modern family system through this text was significant reflection in itself.

        최명익의 소설에 나타난 동양론의 전유와 변주

        This thesis tends to analyze correlation of discourse and it`s periodic implication between representation of disease and death and discourse of the Orient in Choi Meong Ick`s Novels. This thesis which has such a purpose selected three texts-<Road in the Rain>, <A Person Who has no Character>, <Spring and A newly constructed Road> as concentrative analytic object. The argument of this thesis which has such a purpose as follows. The motifs of disease and death in Choi Meong Ick`s Novels which writed covcentratively in the period around the the Chinese-Japanese War showed the aspects of repetition compulsion. Choi Meong Ick`s Novels which writed covcentratively in the period around the the Chinese-Japanese War appears to restrict to oppression and burden of the discourse of the Orient and discourse of overcome of modern which played an important role in the discourse fields of the later colonial period represented as ``a dark period``. Most of Choi Meong Ick`s Novels is the his fictitious record and confession to the discourse of overcome of modern around discourse of the Orient. Choi Meong Ick`s fundamental emontion and attitude to the Europe is the disgust and contempt. But, Choi Meong Ick`s gaze to the discourse of the Orient and discourse of overcome of modern has the complicated perspectives and stances.

        김숨 소설의 병리학적 상상력

        The works which so be the naming of novel cancer ward has occupied an important place in the novel terrain of Kim sum. Severe illness including cancer function as the core and epic overtones of Kim sum’novels. Despite such importance and gravity, discussions about them almost hard to find. This is the key driver which critical mind that this article is triggered. This article which based on this critical mind has the purpose which search and investigate intentions of Kim sum through pathological imagination appeared in [the liver and gallbladder], [the north room], [last train], [noodles] As in those previously released early novels of Kim sum, [the liver and gallbladder], [the north room], [last train], [noodles] which cancer function as the core of narrative is also projected and reflected unconsciousness and critical mind of Kim sum about family. But these four novels are revealing differences distinctly different from those early novels. In the early novels of Kim sum, families suffer pains from violence and oppression of patriarchy. But in these four novels, the structure of the relationship is reversed. In addition, the strength and density of the space and the animals who functions as an important symbol and fantasy significantly weakened. As in the earlier novel, Kim sum through the four works, still reflects critical mind about our modern family which is likely to provoke questions.

        ≪탁류≫에 나타난 가족과 자본

        The critical mind of this treatise is that criticism and confrontation of consciousness to the modern capitalism and the traditional family system functioned the origin and source of Chae Man-sik`s novels. In other words, in the unconscious dimension of the text symbolic projection for modern capitalism and the traditional family system formed core of Chae Man-sik`s novels. The purpose of this article was to comfirm and investigate critical mind of this treatise. Jeongjusa and Chobong`s marriage grounded of Jeongjusa`s tyranical power in this work functioned the motif of Chae Man-sik`s criticism and sense of confrontation to the traditional family system and capitalism in modern times. Chae Man-sik`s criticism and sense of confrontation to the traditional family system and capitalism in modern times appeared shape and will of relentless punishment of Jeongjusa. Chae Man-sik`s criticism and sense of confrontation in the Chae Man-sik`s novel system to the traditional family system and capitalism in modern times showed repetitive variation consistently. Criticism and will of confrontation to the modern capitalism and the traditional family system formed the work group forming a distinct family relatives literary terrain of Chae Man-sik which sense of confrontation the criticism of Chae Man-sik for the traditional family system and capitalist modernity in a simple motif. You can go beyond the function of the origin or source of the novel Chae Man-sik.

        채만식의 산문 연구

        Ch``ae Man-Sik’s prose has not received much critical attention despite its importance in Korean literature. This paper sets out to study Ch’ae’s works so as to lay the groundwork for further exploration and understanding of his prose literature. With this objective, this paper meticulously analyzes more than 150 pieces of Ch’ae’s prose. Among Ch’ae’s prose works, which tend to have different leanings, three themes can be seen to repeat so much that they form the focal point of his prose writing: the hometown as a two-sided, complex body of intersecting and overlapping emotions of nostalgia and resentment; poverty and illness as a death drive (Thanatos) that fuels impulsive escapism or the enhances the lure of death; and never letting go of one’s passion and dedication for literature even when one has one’s back to the wall. These three themes are closely related to one another.

        채만식의 ≪심봉사≫ 계열체 서사 연구

        This article started with the problem of consciousness and the purpose that 『Simbongsa』 reflected Chae, Man-sik`s resistance will to the violence and oppression of the traditional family system. The decisive motive which Chae, Man-sik hanged on 『Simbongsa』 tenaciously is the his criticism and resistance will to the traditional family structure which was based on patriarchal ideology. In this context, this paper interpreted 『simbongsa』 as the practice of Oedipus desire which want to interrogate and punish oppression and violence of the traditional family system which is based on despotic power of patriarch. 『Simbongsa』 repeated the grammar and pattern of novels which reflected Chae, Man-sik`s resistance and confrontation to the traditional family system which based on despotic power of patriarch. Parodic appropriation of 『Simbongsa』 has be revealed two main aspects of appropriation. One is for simbongsa`s shaped part, and the other is the ending part. Simbongsa who functions as the subject of the narrative in the 『Simbongsa』 has been shaped as the character who has moral and ethical shortcomings compared with Simbongsa in the 『Simchongjeon』. Chae, Man-sik seems to reveal his criticism and resistance will to the traditional family system most clearly through the disastrous tragic ending which again to return to the blind which his eyes were stabbed himself. In this context, this article interpreted Simbongsa as metaphorical substitution of the traditional family system, and Simbongsa`s act blind his eyes again by the act of himselves stabbing as symbolic manifestation of the symbolic castration and punishment to the Korean`s traditional family system.
