        실험연구 : 마우스에서 Procaine 투여에 의한 Cisplatin 신독성의 완화 기전

        Background: Procaine binds to DNA and reduces cisplatin nephrotoxicity, but the mechanism is poorly understood. We explored whether procaine amelioration of cisplatin nephrotoxicity was related to down-and/or up-regulation of inflammatory response gene tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), oxidative stress indicator gene heme oxygenase-1 (HO-1) or cell cycle inhibitor gene p21. Methods: Cisplatin and procaine were intraperitoneally injected to mice at a single dosage of 16 and 80 mg/kg, respectively. Renal evaluation was performed 72 hours after cisplatin administration. The expression of transcripts and proteins was analyzed using real time RT-PCR and Western blot, respectively. Results: Procaine treatment moderately attenuated necrotic changes of renal proximal tubules and increases in BUN and creatinine concentration by cisplatin administration. Kidney platinum level between the cisplatin (cis) group and the cisplatin + procaine (CisPro) group was not different. Although the level of TNF-α mRNA increased 4-fold higher in the Cis group than in the control, this increase was not attenuated by procaine treatment. Gene expression of p21 and HO-1 was elevated 175 and 4-times higher in the Cis group than in the control, respectively. But their expression was no further elevated, rather significantly reduced in the CisPro group compared to the Cis group. Protein abundance of p21 and HO-1 was paralleled by their respective mRNA expression. Conclusions: Procaine amelioration of cisplatin nephrotoxicity is likely to be achieved through processes other than the regulation of TNF-α, HO-1 or p21 gene expression.         제주도 지하수 질산염 농도의 시·공간적 변화 특성: 장기(1993-2015) 모니터링 자료의 평가

        1993년부터 2015년까지 관측된 제주도 지하수 장기모니터링 관측정(N = 4,835)에서 수집된 지하수 수질자료(N = 21,568)를 기반으로 질산성질소의 시공간적 변동 특성을 평가하였다. 제주도 지하수의 질산성질소 농도의 중앙값은 2.5 mg/L로서 다른 국가나 대륙의 조사 결과에 비해 다소 높거나 유사한 것으로 나타났다. 또한 지하수 용도, 행정구역 및 고도 별로 유의한 차이를 보였다. 특히, 산간 지역에 비해 저지대 해안가에 위치한 농업 및 주거지역에서 농도가 높음을 확인하였다. Mann-Kendall 및 Sen’s slope 분석을 활용한 질산성질소 농도의 추세 분석 결과, 하류 저지 대에 비해 중산간지역에서의 질산성질소 농도 증가 경향이 뚜렷하였다. 제주도 내 토지 피복의 시계열 변화 특성과 결부 지어 보면, 중산간지역의 오염 증가 추세는 농업지역의 확장 등 인위적 활동 증가에 기인한 결과로 판단된다. 반면,기지정된 지하수자원특별관리구역에서는 전반적으로 질산성질소 농도의 감소 경향이 나타났는데, 이는 지하수 관리 측면에서 수질관리를 위한 적극적인 정책이 유효함을 시사한다. 본 연구에서는 제주도 지하수의 질산성질소 오염관리를 위한 적정 방안을 제안한다. The spatio-temporal variations of nitrate concentrations in groundwater of Jeju Island were evaluated by an analysis of time series groundwater quality data (N = 21,568) that were collected from regional groundwater monitoring (number of wells = 4,835) for up to 20 years between 1993 and 2015. The median concentration of NO 3 -N is 2.5 mg/L, which is slightly higher than those reported from regional surveys in other countries. Nitrate concentrations of groundwater in wells tend to significantly vary according to different water usage (of the well), administrative districts, and topographic elevations: nitrate level is higher in low-lying agricultural and residential areas than those in high mountainous areas. The Mann-Kendall trend test and Sen’s slope analysis show that nitrate concentration in mid-mountainous areas tends to increase, possibly due to the expansion of agricultural areas toward highland. On the other hand, nitrate concentrations in the Specially Designated Groundwater Quality Protection Zones show the temporally decreasing trend, which implies the efficiency of groundwater management actions in Jeju. Proper measures for sustainable groundwater quality management are suggested in this study.

      • 전격성 경과를 취한 만성 호산구성 폐렴 환자 1예

        Chronic eosinophilic pneumonia(CEP) is a rare disease of unknown etiology characterized by chronic infiltration of the lung with eosinophils. It presents with profound systemic symptoms comprising fever, night sweats, weight loss, dyspnea and blood eosinophilia with nonsegmental air-space consolidation confined to the outer third of the lung, the "photographic negative of pulmonary edema". Histopathologic features of chronic eosinophilic pneumonia are intraalveolar and interstitial infiltrations with eosinophils, histiocytes, giant cells, scattered lymphocytes and plasma cells. Glucocorticoid therapy cause prompt resolution of symptoms as well as disappearans of blood eosinophils, elevated serum Ig E levels and the roentgenographic lesions. Infrequent radiographic findings include nodular infiltrates, consolidations, cavitations, atelectasis and pleural effusions. Deaths from CEP although rare, have been reported, but the majorities of CEP have benign courses and do not need a therapy with ventilator. We report a case of chronic eosinophilic pneumonia, which had a sudden course associated with diffuse pneumonic consolidations on the both lung and bilateral pleural effusion.

      • 경남 양산시에서 반딧불이의 다양성과 분포

        경상남도 양산시에서 반딧불이의 다양성과 분포를 조사하였다. 11개 지역에 3종이 확인되었는데, Hotaria papariensis (Doi) 파파리반딧불이가 4장소에서, Luciola lateralis Motschulsky 애반딧불이가 4장소에서, Lychnuris rufa (Olivier) 늦반딧불이가 4장소에서 기록되었다. 파파리반딧불이는 천성산, 금정산, 영축산등의 산기슭에서 관찰되었고 양산의 동남부 지역에 집괴분포하는 경향을 보였다. 애반딧불이는 천성산의 동측사면의 수답을 따라 선형분포를 보였다. 늦반딧불이는 산만한 분포를 보여 추후 자세한 조사가 필요할 것으로 생각된다. 이 3종의 반딧불이가 모두 분포하는 천성산 지역은 울산과 부산을 서로 연결할 수 있는 지리적 위치로 서식지 네트워크를 구축하면 반딧불이 집단 간에 유전자 교류가 가능할 것이다. It was investigated the dwersity and distribution of fireflies from Yangsan city. Hotaria papariensis (Doi), Luciola lateralis Motschdsky and Lychnuris rufa (Olivier) were observed respectively at 4 different spots, but 11 spots in total. H. papariemis was recorded at Mts. Cheonseong, Keumjeong and Yeongchuk, but was concentrated at the eastern part of Yangsan. L. lateralis was observed along waterlines crossing rice paddies. However L. rda was scatteredy found and should be investigated further for the factors regulating distribution. Mt. Cheonseong that all 3 species recorded is likely to act to support a biogeographical network to conserve the firefly-genepool in Busan, Ulsan and Yangsan.

      • 뇌졸중 환자에서 연하장애와 신체기능장애의 연관성

        Backgrounds : In almost stroke patients, dysphagia is improved with rehabilitation therapy. But, it is not identified the relationship between dysphagia and physical function recovery in stroke patients. Methods : A total of 21 patients with stroke-caused swallowing disorders based on a videofluoroscopic swallowing study (VFSS) were examined swallowing function and physical function at admission and after treatment for 4 weeks (including Vitalstim). Swallowing function was evaluated by the functional dysphagia scale (FDS) using VFSS before treatment and after treatment. Physical function was evaluated by the motricity index (MI) and modified barthel index (MBI) at admission and after 4 weeks. And the relationship between dysphagia and physical function recovery was evaluated. Results : After treatment for 4 weeks, total score, residue in oral cavity, oral transit time, laryngeal elevation and epiglottic closure, residue in valleculae, residue in piriform sinus, coating of pharyngeal wall after swallow were significantly decreased in FDS (p<0.05). There were a significant improvement in MBI (p<0.05) and the correlation between FDS and MBI. But, MI was not showed correlation with FDS. Conclusions : There was relationships between swallowing function improvement and recovery of physical function in almost FDS factors.

      • 울주군 정족산 곤충군의 분류학적 다양성과 생태학적 평가

        울산광역시 울주군 웅촌면 정족산에서 산기슭의 마을(고도 50m), 산지중층(정족산. 50~510m) 그리고 무제치 제 1늪과 제2늪(510~545m)으로 구분하여 곤충군의 다양성을 조사한 결과 11目 60科 124屬 143種으로 정리되었다. 관찰된 대부분의 종들이 경작지와 도시화 특징을 보이는 종들이었으며, 마을에서 Pheropsophus javanus (Dejean) 남방폭탄먼지벌레가 우점종으로 나타났으며, 산지중층에서는 Megacopta punctatissima (Montandon) 무당알노린재, 무제치늪에서는 Diplous depresus (Gebler) 사개천먼지벌레가 우점종으로 나타났다. 이 세 지역에서 관찰된 종조성에는 전체적으로는 두드러진 차이를 논하기 어렵지만, 지표보행성 갑충군에서는 서로 독립된 다양성 구조가 확인되었는데, 이는 산기슭의 수전경작지와 늪은 본질적으로 차이가 있고 또한 늪과 주변산지도 역시 차이가 있는 것을 볼 수 있었다. 따라서 산지성 늪의 특성을 설명할 수 있는 생물지표종에 대한 연구를 위해 지표보행성 갑충군의 군집의 구조에 대한 자세한 연구가 이루어져야 할 것이다. It was investigated the insect diversity and community structures from Mt. Jungjoksan located at Ulju-gun. The insects were sampled at the village at the bottom, the mid-slope area and the moors of the mountain to see the difference between the sites with a particular interest of the presence of moor inhabiting insects with a strong potential of indicators. Overall 143 species in 124 genera were identified belonging to 60 families under 11 orders. Most species were the insects appearing along agricultural fields and in urban areas. Out of the species. Pheropsophus jauanus (Dejean) was the dominant one in village field, Megacopta punctatissima (Montandon) in the mid -slope areas and Diplous depressus (Gebler) in moors. The species composition between the investigated sites were difficult to draw any distinct differences, while it was confirmed some patterns of independency between the ground-walking Coleoptera groups at the sites. It is suggested that the potential indicator species for wetlands may be established through the detailed tracing the ground- walking Coleoptera in the moors.

        糖, 아미노酸 및 無機窒素化合物이 人蔘褐變促進에 미치는 影響

        紅蔘褐變의 適合한 促進方法을 究明하기 위하여 人蔘에 糖, amino酸 및 無機窒素化合物을 處理한 結果 糖類中에서는 maltose와 glucose가 가장 强한 褐變促進作用을 나타내었다. amino酸은 basic amino acid인 lysine, histidine, arginine이 가장 크게 促進했으며 糖과 amino酸 混合處理에서는 glucose와 glutamic acid 退合處理區가 가장 크게 促進되었다. Glucose 濃度別 處理時의 褐變促進效果는 glucose濃度가 增加함에 따라 褐變이 促進되었으며 無機窒素化合物中에서는 urea>(NH₄)₂)HCO₃>COONH₄등의 順으로 褐變이 促進되었다. In order to find out pertinent methods for the acceleration of browing during ginseng processing, various treatments were made or fresh ginseng (Panax Ginseng C.A. Meyer) with sugars, amino acids and inorganic nitrogenous compounds and the extent of browning was measured. Among sugars tested, maltose resulted in the greatest acceleration of browning followed in decreasing order by glucose and lactose, whereas pentoses, fructose, sucrose and raffinose had negligible effect. A marked browning occurred in ginseng treated with basic amino acids, while the extent of browning was not greatly increased when ginseng was treated with aliphatic amino acids, hydroxy amino acids, or acidic amino acids used in the experiment. Among treatments with sugar-amino acid mixture, a mixture of glucose with glutamic acid gave the greatest acceleration. The brown color intensity gradually increased with an increase in glucose concentration for up to 0.5M. inorganic nitrogenous compounds enhanced the browning in general, and the effect varied greatly with the different compounds.

        pH, 有機酸, 아스코르빈酸 및 紫外線照射가 人蔘褐變促進에 미치는 影響

        pH, 有機酸, ascorbic acid 및 紫外線照射가 紅蔘褐色化反應促進에 미치는 影響을 調査하였다. 紅蔘의 褐色化反應은 弱 alkali性 範圍에서 褐變이 促進되는 傾向을 보였으며 citric acid, succinic acid, tartaric acid等의 有機酸 添加도 紅蔘의 褐變反應을 促進하였다. Fumalic acid의 單獨添加는 紅蔘의 褐色化反應을 促進하였으나 glucose, glutamic acid , glucose+glutamic acid의 混合處理는 褐變을 低下시켰다. 0.1M 以上의 ascorbic acid 處理는 紅蔘褐色化反應에 아주 큰 促進效果가 있었으며 同時에 良質紅蔘의 特有한 色相인 紅色度도 크게 增大되었다. 紫外線照射는 紅蔘乾燥 初期에는 褐變을 상당히 促進하였으나 그 以後에는 褐色度가 滅少되었다. Effects of pH, organic acides and UV irradiation on the browning of ginseng were investigated. Browning of ginseng tended to increase slightly in the alkaline pH range, whereas no discernible pH effect was observed in the pH ranges of 3.0-5.0 and 10.0-12.5. The treatment of fresh ginseng with organic acid such as citric acid, succinic acid, and tartaric acid greatly enhanced the browning reaction of ginseng but all treatments of mixture of glucose, glutamic acid, and glucose+glutamic acid with fumaric acid decreased the browning reaction except the treatment of fumaric acid only. The addition of ascorbic acid in concentration of greater than 0.1 M markedly accelerated the browning reaction and concurrently increased the red color, a characteristic color of quality red ginseng. Irradiation of ultraviolet light while drying red ginseng increased the brown color intensity in the first 5 day·s and thereafter decreased the brown color intensity.

        This study attempts to investgate th aspects on the sensory exercise class of children with developmental disabilities. This study is to analyze by ethnographic research method. The subjects in this study were 11 selected children who were attending, The Data were collected through 35 participation observations, 3 teacher Interviews during a period from March, 2004 to July, 2004. The class of sensory exercise were tape-recoarded, videotaped, and field jotting and field records were made, In addition with the teacher were also duplicated and materialized, Collected data were encoded, categorized and analyzed by each case, The findings of this study were as below: First, the sensory exercise class was effective for the enhancement of the motor abilities of the children with developmental disabilities. As a result of checking out balance, mobility and coordination, the subfactors of major muscular movement. Second, the sensory exercise class was effective for the enhancement of the social skills of the children with developmental disabilities. As a result of checking out spontaneousness, concentration, imitation and cohesive force, the subfactors of interpersonal relationship and social adjustment behaviors.
