경도(京都)의 조선유학생 잡지 연구 『학우(學友)』, 『학조(學潮)』, 『경도제국대학조선인(京都帝國大學朝鮮人)(유(留))학생동창회보(學生同窓會報)』를 중심으로

본 연구는 식민지 시기 경도 지역에서 간행된 『學友』(창간호), 『學潮』(1, 2호), 『京都帝國大學朝鮮人(留)學生同窓會報』?(1-6호)를 대상으로 유학생 사회의 변화와 유학생들의 사회인식, 사회문화적 실천, 문학텍스트 등을 분석한 논문이다. 東京중심, 『學之光』중심의 연구 관행에 대한 비판적 의식에서 출발한 이 연구는 식민지 시기 도일 유학의 또 다른 중요 장소였던 경도의 유학생 사회에 주목하였다. 경도 지역 유학생 잡지 전체를 연구의 과제로 삼은 것은 최초의 시도이며, 특히『學潮』 2호의 경우는 이번에 처음으로 학계에 소개되는 것이기도 하다. 이들 잡지의 발행인, 학우회의 임원들, 글을 실은 사람들의 면면을 조사하여 유학생 커뮤니티의 정치적, 문화적 분위기를 재구하였으며 이를 통해서 정지용의 시 「카페프란스」등의 문학텍스트를 당대의 유학생 사회와의 관련 속에서 새롭게 해석하였다. 또한, 『學潮』 2호의 분석을 통해 풍문으로만 존재하던 검열과 필화사건의 실제 작품이 권환의 「알코잇는 靈」이 아니라, 삼고생 유인탁이 월남 이상재의 사회장을 제재로 쓴 소설 「層下人의 감상」이었음을 확인하였다. This study analyzes changes within Chosun students` society, their social attitudes, sociocultural practices, and literary texts they left. The analysis objects are following three magazines published in Kyoto area during the Japanese colonial period: Hakwu, (『學友』, first issue), Hakjo (『學潮』, vol. 1, 2), and Kyoto Imperial University Chosun Student Alumni Bulletin (『京都帝國大學朝鮮人(留)學生同窓會報』, vol. 1-6). Starting from the critical idea about Tokyo and Hakjikwang (『學之光』) centered precedent studies, this article focuses on Chosun students society which took huge part in Chosun students` life in Japan in the colonial period. This study is expected to acquire its academic significance for two reasons. First of all, this is the first attempt to target all kinds of periodical publications for Chosun students in Kyoto area as a research object. Also, especially, the second volume of Hakjo has never been introduced to academic world. In this article, various sides of publishers, board members of the students association, contributors and authors of those magazines will be examined, and then political, cultural atmosphere of Chosun students community will be reconstructed. On the basis of this, each texts such as “Caf? France”, a poem written by Chung Ji-yong, will be reinterpreted in the relation with the Chosun students community of the day. Also, by analyzing the second volume of Hakjo, the rumor about censorship and indictment incident (pilhwa sageon) on it turned out to be not true. It was not actually Kwon Hwan but Yu In-tak, The Third High School (第三高等?校) student, who was the target of the censorship because of Yu`s novel titled Cheunghain-eui Gamsang (「層下人의 感傷」) about the public funeral of Wolnam Lee Sang-jae.
