        This study is about the current status and interest in hair illustration education. The results are as follow. First, for a study on the status of hair illustration education, the schools having hair illustration and similar subjects were 41 junior colleges, 24 four year universities, 6 graduate schools and 2 cyber universities. Second, when looking into general characteristics of the study subjects, most were women. By age, there were more subjects in the age of 50s with many married. There were many subjects having 10 years or more experience in the beauty field. For education, there were many subjects with graduate school or higher education. In the 21st century, it can be seen that academic attainment is getting higher in all areas. Third, the result in the level of interest in hair illustrations has shown overall mean of (M = 4.11), the level of interest on the hair illustration education has shown (M = 3.99), the level of interest in work activities was (M = 3.90), the level of professionalism in the field of hair design was (M = 3.44) and the level of wanting to receive education was (M = 3.92) which was shown high. In addition, the overall average points for level of knowledge on hair illustration was 2.72 which were a little less than normal.

      • 세미퍼머넌트 메이크업 선호도 및 법적규제 인지정도 연구

        To figure out the perception of and satisfaction with cosmetic behavior in semi-permanent makeup, a questionnaire survey was conducted against a total of 1,044 people in their 20-50s living in capital area(Seoul, Gyeonggi and Incheon), Chungcheong area(Daejeon, Cheongju and Cheonan), Honam area(Jeonju, Gwangju and Iksan) and Yeongnam area(Daegu, Ulsan and Busan) from March 30, 2015 to April 30, 2015. The study results found the followings: when asked why they prefer semi-permanent makeup, it is not messed up even during exercise is most responded. when asked they intend to take this treatment again, more than a few respondents said Yes it appeared that many respondents weren’t aware of legal regulations on semi-permanent makeup. When asked if they agree to the legalization of the treatment, ‘I agree’ was mostly responded. Therefore, the said results reveal that semi-permanent makeup has become more common among the general public as well as cosmetologists. In addition, most people wanted to get the treatment at a professional makeup salon, not in a medical institution. In addition, even though many people weren’t aware of legal restrictions on semi-permanent makeup, many of them agree with their legalization. Hence, it is expected that semi-permanent makeup market would further grow. Moreover, since many customers prefer getting the treatment in a professional makeup salon, it is urgent to provide professional education and distribute high-quality skills. Because of a lack of previous studies on semi-permanent makeup, it’s been difficult to get sufficient data on it. In addition, there are legal restrictions in providing this treatment. Therefore, it is hoped that beauty professionals would be able to freely provide this semi-permanent makeup soon. Furthermore, it is essential to establish a license system which can verify semi-permanent makeup under the related laws just like the U.S or through a state exam.

      • 헤어살롱의 지각된 서비스품질과 물리적환경이 이미지일치성 및 재방문의도에 미치는 영향

        This study has investigated an influence of perceived service quality and physical environment of hair salon on image congruency and revisit intention by conducting a survey targeting male and female subjects in the age range of 20s to 60s residing in Daejeon and Chungcheong area from September 10, 2018 to October 26, 2018, where the relationship between these variables were verified by setting a research model and a hypothesis. Analysis of collect data has used the statistical program SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Science) 24.0 and the summary of the findings is as follows. First, for the general characteristics of the subjects, the total number of respondents was 600 people, for gender, 313(52.2%) people were men, 287(47.8%) people were women, and for age, 76(12.7%)people were in their 20s, 141(23.5%)people were in their 30s, 216(36.0%) people were in their 40s, and 167(27.8%) people were in their 50s and above. For marital status, 165(27.5%) people were married and 435(72.5%) people were single. Second, as a result of analyzing the difference in perceived quality of service, physical environment, image congruency and revisit intention of hair salon according to general characteristics, the perceived service quality difference was (M = 3.87), the difference in physical attractiveness was (M = 3.37), environmental differences was (M = 3.40), and cleanliness difference was (M = 3.7), showing that there were statistically significant differences in sex, age, marital status, occupation, and monthly average income. The difference in self-congruency of image congruency was (M = 3.52), the difference in functional congruency was (M= 3.69), and the difference due to design factors of revisit intention(M=3.92) has shown a statistically significant difference in sex, age, occupation, duration of hair salon use for regulars, and duration of hair salon revisitation. However, there was no statistically significant difference for the difference due to convenience factors (M = 3.60) for characteristics.

      • 오가피 메탄올 추출물의 기능성 화장품 소재 가능성 연구

        With the recent well-being craze and the growing preference for organic foods, various plant resources with functional effects such as antioxidant, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and whitening properties are being developed, in order to produce a functional, natural cosmetic material for cosmetics. The present researcher studied Acanthopanax sessiliflorus seeman as a material for functional cosmetics and came up with the following findings. The extraction yield of Acanthopanax sessiliflorus seeman methanol was found to be 6.95%. The total flavonoid content was found to be 3.393 ± 5.48 ㎎(TAE)/g. In the DPPH radical scavenging activity measurement, the scavenging activity was over 91.49% at a concentration of over 0.25%, which was on the same level as BHT, an existing antioxidant. Measurements of the cytotoxicity of the NIH/3T3 cell revealed that there was no cytotoxicity but the growth of the cell increases proportionally according to the treatment concentration. After the scavenging activity was measured for the nitrite by causing a reaction in pH of 1.2, it was found that there was similar scavenging activity to that of BHT, as with the scavenging activity of the DPPH radical. Concerning Staphylococus aureus and staphylococcus epidermidis, when the antibacterial ability of the Acanthopanax sessiliflorus seeman methanol extract was measured, it was found that the clear zone increased proportionally according to the increase in the concentration of the extract. From this, it was confirmed that antibacterial activity is dependent on the concentration. From the aforementioned research findings, the Acanthopanax sessiliflorus seeman methanol extract is deemed to have potential as a functional cosmetic material with antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties.

      • 모발 염색 시술시 오배자 추출물이 모발에 미치는 효과

        The purpose of this study is to find the protective effects of G. chinensis extract on hair by adding 2% of G. chinensis extract on solvent treatment instead of using general hair dye used in the field. Therefore, this study investigated the protective effect by comparing damage degree of hair using G. chinensis treatment solvents during hair dye procedure, and obtained the following results. According to the result of measuring the thickness of hair, the natural iron solution G2 group that conducted afterchroming showed the closest result with the control group of 0.031± 0.0013 ㎜. According to the result of measuring tensile strength, virgin hair was 123.52 ± 10.27 gf/㎟, and the G3 experimental group that showed difference from control group showed the highest tensile strength of 110.56 ± 8.61 gf/㎟. According to the result of measuring moisturizing power, virgin hair was 90.34% and G3 group that used G. chinensis treatment hair dye and conducted mordant dye at the same time with ferrous sulfate showed higher result of 80.28% than the C control group that used oxidation hair color. For comparison of hair color, it seems that G1, G2, G3, and G4 can be used for dressing up, and it was identified that natural hair dye containing G. chinensis content can be used for covering gray hair and for better looks. As a result of this study, it was identified in the whole hair experiment that using simultaneous mordant ferrous sulfate with G. chinensis treatment content shows excellent efficacy.

        Objectives: The aim of this study was to explore the factors making their choice of beauty-related departments among college students. Design: This was a quantitative study, utilizing self-administered questionnaires. Setting: 444 Students were recruited from the beauty-related departments in Daegu and Kyung buk. Results: The factors making their choice of beauty-related departments among college students were sex, detailed major, career after graduation, the reason applying beauty-related departments. Conclusion: The choice of beauty-related departments depend on sex, detailed major, career after graduation, the reason applying beauty-related departments. There was a signigicant difference between demographic characteristics such as female, detailed majors like skin care, make-up, economical reason.

      • 애엽 열수추출물의 생리활성에 관한 연구

        In this study, in order to explore whether hair damage by activated oxygen being generated during chemical treatment of hair could be prevented in advance, Artemisiae argi Folium having excellent anti-oxidant effect as a natural substance containing tiny amount of amino acid was used. Hereupon, antioxidant activity, anti-inflammatory, and cytotoxicity of Artemisia herb extract were measured. Evaluation was made as follows deriving a conclusion. In DPPH radical scavenging activity based on concentration of 0.2 mg/ml, its activity over 90% equivalent to that of Vit C that is control group was represented. In ABTS scavenging activity based on concentration of 1 mg/ml, a result lower than positive control group was shown but scavenging activity was increased along with increased concentration. Contents of polyphenol and flavonoid was 449.357+/-34.699 μg/㎖and 2.65+/-0.057 μg/ ㎖, respectively. As a result of measuring survival rate by using Raw 264.7 cell in order to determine cytotoxicity status of Artemisiae argi Folium extract, toxicity was not evident in low concentration of such extract. According to aforementioned results, it was confirmed that there was a high chance of availability as hair care cosmetics because of antioxidant effect, cytotoxicity, and anti-bacterial effect of Artemisia herb extract.

      • 남자 대학생의 외모관심과 외모만족이 미용관리행동에 미치는 영향

        The purpose of this study was to investigate the influences of appearance concern and Appearance satisfaction on the Beauty care behavior of male college students. For data collection, a questionnaire was administrated to 419 male college students in Gwangju City, Korea, from June 1 to June 20, 2011. To analyze the data, the SPSS 18.0 statistics package was used, and descriptive statistical analysis, factor analysis, reliability analysis(Cronbach` α), regression analysis, path analysis were conducted. The results were as follows. First, it appeared that concern of appearance had positive influences on the Beauty care behavior. Second, it appeared that concern of appearance had positive influences on Appearance satisfaction. Third, the result suggested that Appearance satisfaction generally had positive influences on the aspects of Beauty care behavior. Fourth, it was found that appearance concern had direct impact on the a Beauty care behavior without mediation Appearance satisfaction.

      • 이미지 메이킹 교육프로그램 실시 전과 후의 인식 변화분석 -경기,광주지역 남녀대학생을 중심으로-

        The purpose of the study is to investigate the awareness, need, and importance of image making education for 20s people who are going to have an interview, find a job, or lead a social life in modern society. In particular, it is meaningful to know which parts of image making education are crucial and what parts of image making education are needed for them. This study firstly analyzes changes in perception of before and after image making education and suggests desirable and numberous contents for developing image making education programs. This study was done with the 20s men and women university students of Kyeonggi and Gwangju and the subjects had no experience of image making education before. The research period of this study was from March 10th, 2011 to June 20th, 2013 and the data used for this study were collected by total 142 students. The collected data were processed by SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Science) WIN 18.0 program for analysis. As the analysis technique, frequency analysis and percentages were used to identify the general characteristics of participants and cross analysis was carried out to compare before the image making education and after the image making education. The results obtained from the study are as follows. First, when looking at the result after the image making education, 97.2% of students cognize the definition of the image making education than they actually have the image making education before. 100 % of students think that it definitely needs for their social life, interviews, or finding a job which is significantly high frequency. Also, 99.3% of them say they are willing to participate in the image making education if they have a chance. 98.6% of students show positive attitude about the image making education which is helpful for their social life, interviews, and finding a job. Second, when exploring the preference on the need of the image making education after the image making education, this result showed as the following ranks: 1. General manner education (greeting, pose, and gesture) 2. Facial expression education 3. Business manner education (handshake, business card, and a place of honor) 4. Social image education (amicable human relations and teamwork), inner image education (positive thoughts and overcoming sense of inferiority). 5. Telephone manner education (importances and characteristics of response esponse by telephone) Self-expression and acting ability education Solution and an effective plan for own complex 6. Fashion strategies and coordination education 7. Diagnosis of personal colors and hair styling education 8. Makeup and props directing education. Based on the results, it appeared that general manner education such as greeting, pose, and gesture and facial expression education are highly meaningful in the image making education of the participants. All things considered, significances of the research is to identify the awareness of the image making education of 20s university students who are facing with interviewing, seeking a job, and their social life in modern world. These facts and results from this study could suggest the upcoming basic data research and could be helpful.

      • 이데베논을 포함한 항산화 항노화 화장품 관련 연구

        This study aims to investigate how recent work associates bioenergy production and oxidative stress with pigment production thereby providing another additional potential avenue for targeted anti-ageing intervention in skin. It is important to note that anti-aging and anti-oxidant cosmetics are a mainstay in the skin care regimen irrespective of gender or human ethnics. It has been known to improve the physical, emotional, and behavioral problems due to stroke. Our study provides a future potential biomarker for monitoring the progression of skin ageing. For this study, finally, few clinical studies, which cover the anti-ageing and anti-oxidant action of Idebenone on the skin after topical application, were reviewed. The aims of this study were to survey the reported biological activities of an emerging and growing portfolio of marine molecules that show promise in the treatment of cosmetic skin problems including ultraviolet damage, ageing and cutaneous dryness.
