Salmonella spp. are pathogens involved in most salmonellosis in rabbits. This study examined Salmonella disease in rabbits raised in Thua Thien Hue, Vietnam. Two hundred and 56 rectal swabs of rabbits were taken, and a carrier rate of 33.98% was found. In addition, all the isolated Salmonella spp. strains were 100% motile; positive for H2S, catalase, Voges Proskauer, coagulase, citrate, maltose, and dextrose; and negative for indole, methyl red, urease, oxidase, sucrose, and lactose. The Kirby-Bauer method showed that these Salmonella strains were susceptible to doxycycline (93.2%), tetracycline (84.1%), and levofloxacin (65.9%). On the other hand, they were highly resistant to streptomycin (95.5%), ampicillin (93.2%), colistin (40.9%), and gentamicin (34.1%). Furthermore, polymerase chain reaction used to screen for virulence and specific genes of Salmonella strains showed that all Salmonella strains isolated carried InvA, fimA, and Stn.

Mouthwash is one of the most commonly oral healthcare products for prevention and treatment of gum diseases. Dr. ECA is a disinfectant solution manufactured by a Vietnamese company and has been licensed for oral healthcare, but its effect on gingivitis is still unclear. To evaluate the effectiveness of this product in the treatment of gingivitis, we conducted a clinical study in 60 students diagnosed with gingivitis to compare the results of gingivitis treatment using Dr. ECA and a control mouthwash (a demonstrated anti-gingivitis product). The data showed that in the treated group, the rate of good Gingivitis Index (GI) before treatment was 46.67%, but after 2 and 4 weeks of using Dr. ECA that rate was increased to 96.67% and 100%, respectively. The percentage of patients with bleeding on probing was 63.33% but declined sharply after 2 weeks of treatment to 6.67%, and further reduced to 3.33% after 4 weeks of treatment. The treatment outcomes in were similar in the Dr. ECA treated group and control one with no statistically significant difference. Our results suggest that the electrolyte saline solution Dr. ECA is effective in treating gingivitis. Its effects are similar to other mouthwash products that had been approved and marketed.

Cao Thi My Dung,Nhu Hoa Tran Thi,Kieu Hanh Thi Ta,Vinh Cao Tran,Bao Thu Le Nguyen,Van Hieu Le,Phuong Anh Do,Anh Tuan Dang,Heongkyu Ju,Bach Thang Phan 한국자기학회 2015 Journal of Magnetics Vol.20 No.4
Dielectric properties of xBaTiO₃–(1-x)CoFe₂O₄ composite materials have been investigated. Dielectric properties of BaTiO₃, CoFe₂O₄ and 0.5BaTiO₃–0.5CoFe₂O₄ samples show frequency dependence, which is classified as relaxor behavior with different relaxing degree. The relaxor behaviors were described using the modified Curier-Weiss and Vogel–Fulcher laws. Among three above samples, the BaTiO₃ sample has highest relaxing degree. Photoluminescence spectral indicated defects, which might in turn control relaxing degree.
Critical Factors for Organizational Commitment: An Empirical Study in Vietnam
Dan Thanh LY,Van Chon LE,Quang Thong BUI,Nhu-Ty NGUYEN 한국유통과학회 2021 The Journal of Asian Finance, Economics and Busine Vol.8 No.5
How to manage a business effectively and successfully is the most important goal of all businesses on their way to expand and develop. Most researchers have confirmed that highly committed employees may perform better than less committed ones. The paper aims to find out what critical factors really affect employee’s commitment for success of a business. The findings show that three factors having impacts on organizational commitment are leadership, meeting effectiveness and job satisfaction. Particularly, leadership positively affects meeting effectiveness with weight of 0.838. It is believed that if employees feel satisfied with their job, they become more committed to their organization. In addition, it is evident that meeting effectiveness positively affects organizational commitment with weight of 0.296. Last but not the least, in the relationship between meeting effectiveness and organizational commitment, there is a mediator of job satisfaction with the indirect effect of 0.454 and its bootstrap errors at 0.053. It emphasizes the importance of meetings in workplaces. In order to make subordinates satisfied with their jobs, every conflict or problem needs to be thoroughly resolved in meetings. That’s why meeting effectiveness has a significant effect on job satisfaction. Furthermore, whether meetings are effective or not is based on leaders or meeting organizers.

Yang-Seop Bae,Le Xuan Vi,Kyu-Tek Park,Nguyen Nhu Cuong,Pham Van Nha,Pham Thi Vuong,Jong-Gyun Park 한국응용곤충학회 2009 한국응용곤충학회 학술대회논문집 Vol.2009 No.05
In Vietnam, the moths were reported by some foreign entomologist such as de Joannis (1900), Ronkay (1989), Speidel & Kononenko (1998), Park et al. (2006), and Lien et al. (2008). In 1928 -1929 de Joannis created the original data of moths. His final reports on Lepidoptera were 45 families, 611 species of Noctuidae, and 461 species of Pyralidae. After the Vietnam War in North (1954), many times were collected in North Vietnam by National Institute of Plant Protection (NIPP). But all of them focused on fauna of the agricultural pests. According to the publication of NIPP (1967-1968), 533 species of 37 families of which there were 91 species of Noctuidae in the North Vietnam and some other moths known as the insect pests have been reported. In 1977 there were 77 species of Pyralidae known as the insect pests in the North Vietnam. The purpose of this study is to assess diversity of Lepidoptera order and to clarify the fauna in the Northern part of Vietnam, base on the Korea Vietnam collaborative insect-research project (2004-2006). The collecting have been conducted in four National Parks (Tam Dao, Cuc Phuong, Ba Be, and Bach Ma) Given results of the survey in the North of Vietnam from 2002 to 2006, 816 species of Lepidoptera classified by 4 families; Noctuidae (564 species), Pyraloidae (201 species), Sphingidae (28 species), and Lecithoceridae (23 species). Many of the identified species of macro-moths including Noctuidae, Pyraloidae and Lecithoceridae are known as the very newest one in Vietnam.

Trombiculid “chigger” mites (Acari) are ectoparasites that feed blood on rodents and another animals. A cross-sectional survey was conducted in 7 ecosystems of southern Vietnam from 2015 to 2016. Chigger mites were identified with morphological characteristics and assayed by polymerase chain reaction for detection of rickettsiaceae. Overall chigger infestation among rodents was 23.38%. The chigger index among infested rodents was 19.37 and a mean abundance of 4.61. A total of 2,770 chigger mites were identified belonging to 6 species, 3 genera, and 1 family, and pooled into 141 pools (10–20 chiggers per pool). Two pools (1.4%) of the chiggers were positive for Orientia tsutsugamushi. Ricketsia spp. was not detected in any pools of chiggers. Further studies are needed including a larger number and diverse hosts, and environmental factors to assess scrub typhus.
Complementary Filter Performance Enhancement through Filter Gain
Dung Duong Quoc,Jinwei Sun,Van Nhu Le,Lei Luo 보안공학연구지원센터 2015 International Journal of Signal Processing, Image Vol.8 No.7
Complementary filters coupled with MEMS IMU are preferred in applications where computational simplicity, low power and low cost is of prime importance. Such algorithms are equipped with fixed filter’s gain, however improvements can be realized by changing the filter’s gain as per the dynamic situation experienced by the platform. This paper is intended to evaluate the performance of conventional fixed gain complementary algorithm against adoptive gain complementary filter for attitude estimation using MEMS IMU as a test subject. As only IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit) has been exploited without using any aided sensory system, so the mandate is limited to evaluate performance of these algorithms on the basis of Euler angles roll and pitch estimation. Significant performance improvement is observed by varying filter gain in accordance with dynamic situation experienced by the system.
