      • Design and Analysis of Compact Printed Triple Band-Notched UWB Antenna

        <P>A compact printed microstrip-fed monopole ultrawideband antenna with triple notched bands is presented and analyzed in detail. A straight, open-ended quarter-wavelength slot is etched in the radiating patch to create the first notched band in 3.3-3.7 GHz for the WiMAX system. In addition, three semicircular half-wavelength slots are cut in the radiating patch to generate the second and third notched bands in 5.15-5.825 GHz for WLAN and 7.25-7.75 GHz for downlink of X-band satellite communication systems. Surface current distributions and transmission line models are used to analyze the effect of these slots. The antenna is successfully fabricated and measured, showing broad band matched impedance and good omnidirectional radiation pattern. The designed antenna has a compact size of 25 × 29 mm<SUP>2</SUP>.</P>

      • Very Compact Printed Triple Band-Notched UWB Antenna With Quarter-Wavelength Slots

        <P>A very compact coplanar waveguide (CPW)-fed ultrawideband (UWB) printed monopole antenna (PMA) with triple band-notched characteristics is presented. The antenna uses three open-ended quarter-wavelength slots to create triple band-notched characteristics in 3.3-3.7 GHz for WiMAX, 5.15-5.825 GHz for WLAN, and 7.25-7.75 GHz for downlink of X-band satellite communication systems, respectively. The open-ended quarter-wavelength slot is analyzed in detail. Surface current distributions are used to show the effect of these slots. The antenna shows broad bandwidth and good omnidirectional radiation patterns in the passband, with a very compact size of 19 × 24 mm<SUP>2</SUP>.</P>

        Vietnam’s Legislation on Access to Genetic Resources and Benefit Sharing (ABS): Achievements, Remained Weakness And Solutions

        Being a member of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD)since 1994, being 31st member of the Nagoya Protocol on Access to Genetic Resources and the Fair and Equitable Sharing of Benefits Arising from their Utilization (NP) since 2014, Vietnam is making its efforts to improve ABS legislation and policy to implement the NP. A master scheme on capacity building on ABS adopted by Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc was issued in 2016 to implement ABS was promulgated. Decree No. 59/2017/ND-CP, dated May 12, 2017, on the management of access to Genetic Resources (GRs) and the sharing of benefits arising from their utilization (Decree 59) made an important remark in development of ABS law and policy in Vietnam. This Decree covers all basic issues of ABS, detailing the Law on Biodiversity, which was promulgated in 2008 and internalizing the NP in ABS national law. These include essential elements: determining scope definitions, main actors: providers, users, national focal points (NFP), national competent agencies (NCA), benefit sharing, compliance. In spite of important achievements in ABS law development and implementation to date, there remain some weaknesses and shortcomings within the legal system, institutions to facilitate ABS law being implemented well in practice. There are not only the gaps between laws, unclear demarcation of inter-ministerial assigned issues, but also limitation in terms of capacity and awareness of involved actors on ABS issues. This article aims to analyze all these above mentioned points, recommends improving ABS law and policy as well as provides suggestion to overcome limitation.

        Acute Myocardial Infarction in Patients With Single Coronary Artery: A Case Report

        A single coronary artery (SCA) is a rare congenital anomaly. In most cases, it is an incidental finding on coronary angiography and has no clinical significance. However, it can cause angina, myocardial infarction, or even sudden death. Reports of SCA with acute myocardial infarction are very rare in the medical literature. This case study presents a patient with SCA from the right aortic sinus with severe stenosis in the proximal and distal part of the right coronary artery, which was detected using cardiac angiography and cardiac multidetector computed tomography (MDCT) with acute myocardial infarction.

        An effective combination of reusable Pd@MOF catalyst and deep eutectic solvents for high-performance C–C coupling reaction

        Pd-incorporated Zr-based metal–organic framework containing sulfone groups, named Pd(II)BUT-11, wassuccessfully prepared by dispersing the sulfone-functionalized MOF in Pd(OAc)2 solution. X-ray diffraction,scanning electron microscopy, N2 isotherm sorption, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, and thermogravimetricanalysis were applied to determine the features of the Pd-incorporated MOF. In the catalyticstudies, Pd(II)@BUT-11 was shown to be an efficient heterogeneous catalyst for synthesizing various stilbenederivatives via the cross-coupling Heck reaction with DABCO-derived deep eutectic solvent (DES) asa green solvent. Notably, the catalyst and the solvent could be recovered and reused, with their activityand structure remaining stable throughout several trials. The method provides an alternative solution tothe conventional catalysts and solvents, resulting in a green and efficient stilbene synthesis process. Furthermore, the stilbenes were separated by extraction with ethyl acetate due to the low solubility ofDES with this solvent.

        A Decision Support Model for Financial Performance Evaluation of Listed Companies in The Vietnamese Retailing Industry

        This paper aims to propose a Comprehensive Decision Support Model to evaluate retail companies' financial performance traded on the Vietnam Stock Exchange Market. The financial performance has been examined in terms of the valuations ratios, profitability ratios, growth rates, liquidity ratios, efficiency ratios, and leverage ratios. The data of twelve companies from the first quarter to the fourth quarter of 2019 and the first quarter of 2020 were employed. The weights of 18 chosen financial ratios are calculated by using the Standard Deviation method (SD). Grey Relational Analysis technique was applied to obtain the final ranking of each company in each quarter. The results showed that leverage ratios have the most significant impact on the retail companies' financial performance and gives some long-term investment recommendations for stakeholders and indicated that the Taseco Air Services Joint Stock Company (AST), Mobile World Investment Corporation (MWG), and Cam Ranh International Airport Services Joint Stock Company (CIA) are three of the top efficient companies. The three of the worst companies are Viglacera Corporation (VGC), Saigon General Service Corporation (SVC), and HocMon Trade Joint Stock Company (HTC). Furthermore, this study suggests that the GRA model could be implemented effectively to ranking companies of other industries in the future research.

        Purpose: The purpose of the paper is to assess the greening of investment flows as well as the orientation of financial sources of effective environmental protection. Both India and Vietnam are considered to be two Asian countries that are radically affected by global climate change. Governments of the two countries have implimented numerous measures against environmental pollution through the banking and finance sector. Developing green banking operations in India and Vietnam is a new direction in the socio-economic development strategy coupled with effective environmental protection. Research design, data and methodology: The data was mainly based on Asia Development Bank Institution (ADBI) and Bank of India (BOI) from 2015 - 2018. This paper focused on comparing and evaluating the development of green banks between the two countries. Result: The banks' contribution to green growth and green economy is shown in two basic aspects: (i) the connection between organizations, and individuals, and management process for investment projects, including environmental risks; and (ii) the operation of banks has a direct impact on the environment, through the application of technology to pay documents and apply e-banking. Conclusion: Paper reflects, compares and evaluates green banking operations in India and Vietnam to provide new directions aiming to develop financial and economic system along with effective and efficient step toward climate change control. India's green banking operations, after a specific assessment, will be lessons for the Government of Vietnam during the process of socio-economic development and environmental protection.

        Detecting smartphone user habits using sequential pattern analysis

        Recently, the study of smart phone user habits has become a highly focused topic due to the rapid growth of the smart phone market. Indeed, sequential pattern analysis methods were efficiently used for web-based user habit mining long time ago. However, by means of simulations, it has been observed that these methods might fail for smart phone-based user habit mining. In this paper, we propose a novel approach that leads to a considerably increased performance of the traditional sequential pattern analysis methods by reasonably cutting off each chronological sequence of user logs on a device into shorter ones, which represent the sequential user activities in various periods of a day.
